maybe using lightning is sort of draining and so Dooku used force pushing to conserve energy? or it could have been too easy to defend.
either way, Dooku put up an awesome stand, but unfortunately for him, Anakin has his best fight performance ever and comes out on top.

ok for sake of saying maybe the old trilogy has not been filmed yet, we believe dooku is powerful enough to kill obiwan and anakin right? ok well we saw in aotc that anakin rushed into fight dooku after sworing to his mother he would not fail again. now after anakin lost pretty bad against dooku we go into the clone wars where by comic standards dooku did not do much fighting as anakin did who was constantly in battle and was able to adjust his power and become more stonger. now into rots when they met again, anakin knows he needs to take his time and concentrate with dooku. after obiwan is taken out anakin taps into his anger for dooku and just overwhelms dooku and bam.
