Having fun... But yes I completely agree, Sidious was exerting as much controle as he could, Why not affect dreams?

Don't Sidious and Padme work in the same building?

What I heard is that Palpatine became Padme's new boss. I guess with a boss like that she would need a pretty good excuse for not getting to work on time. Probably nothing short of death certificate would save her job--even pregnancy seems like a long honored way to get dismissed from the Senate. Tough rules.

Also the timeleness of Padme's funural, seemed to me, to point to a time frame immediatly preceding Lord Vader's receiving his new limbs and voice chip. Padme's funural seemed to be a very public event and Vader "came-to" at around this time. At least, with no events portrayed betwixt the two moments.

If the Mustafar workers witnessed the scene, they probably would have thought the woman was dead. When the clone troopers interrogated the workers, thats probably what they would have said. The clone troopers would then report that to Palps.

Ok the general consensus here seems to point to one of three possible scenario's ...

1) The choking was, unbeknownst to us, also witnessed by other parties, be it some Mustafar workers or Holo cams etc (Problem : I didnt see any workers or cameras or anything else in fact on the landing pad)

2) Palptine is just using his psychic powers to see what is going on around the galaxy (Problem : Cant see them twins being born though can he!)

3) Anakin KNEW Padme wasnt safe or alright when he awoke. He was just in denial. He knew he had killed her and Palaptine only had to read his thoughts. (No problems here, I'm going with this one!)

It seems obvious that Palp knew she had visited Anakin on Mustafar and 2 days later her funeral goes on. Vader said that he could feel that she was alive when he let her throat go, so i don't think we can assume he thought he killed her. He only thought that because Palp lied to him, and told him that.
