Bail Organa knew who Leia's father was didn't he?
|
If this has been dicussed before please lock. I was watching ROTS & towards the end Yoda,Bail,& Obi-Wan are deciding the fate of the children. When they discuss "the boy" all Yoda says is with his family on Tattoine, or somthing to that affect. I never actually heard anyone say Anakin or Vader. In that conversation. Just wondering. Thanks

Bail had to know or else why would the Jedi even trouble with hiding the babies??? Why would the Empire be concerned with Padme's children in general???

Way to throw Bail under the bus Squishy. At least give the man some credit for outliving most everyone else who opposed the Emperor. Not to mention raising a daughter who helped destory the Empire. Not to mention keeping his planet intact throughout 18 years of Empire Tyranny.

Yeah, Bail knows. He probably suspected the love affair with Padme way back when Anakin arrived and went to see Padme behind the columns in the Senate office hallway. He probably looked to see where Anakin went in a shot not shown on screen.

He did suspect the love affair with Anakin. In the novel Dark Lord, he muses that it's a "secret out in the open" or something like that. What he doesn't know is that Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker. Until this book.

so wait Obi wan and Yoda didn't tell Bail that Anakin was the father of Padme's twins while they were all discussing how they must be hidden from the sith? No, I think Bail knew.

Not only did he suspect the affair, Padme's pregnancy was a "secret out in the open" in the circle of folks like Bail, Mon Mothma, etc. and most senators. He was told who the twins father is.

Also don't forget that in the deleted scenes that Padme asks if she could tell a Jedi she was "close to" about the Delegation of 2000 and the Senators seem to give each other looks so I agree they knew and if not I don't think Yoda and Obi-Wan would let some one go away with a baby in danger without letting them know the danger or risk.

So youre basically saying Bail, Mon Mothma, etc. and most senators knew who the father was before Anakin did.  Yeah, the father is sometimes the last to know.

Yes, I now the whole story... but, why involving Bail in this plot is the main topic for this thread... It is obvious that Bail knew who was their father... It is just an answer for the topic of "did Bail know who's Leia's father...???"
