Where'd Anakin's tribal Tat's go?

I looked back at least 10 pages and didn't see any topics on this but I'm sure it's been talked about. I just finished watching CW Vol.2 and then ROTS right after and didn't see Anakin's tatoo's when he gets out of bed. Was that just an omission or were they just for the CW show?

They weren't permanent, obviously. Was more like a war-paint type thing.

They did look cool, though we can assume they were just temporary. But that entire episode of CW is a total different version of the story than what's in "Labyrinth of Evil", which is considered closest to canon. So in accepted canon that entire event where he gets the tatoos doesn't really happen.
