No Academy Award Nomination For ROTS?
So the Academy put out it's list and lo and behold ROTS didn't get nominated for visual effects. Now correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't a movie that some argue is the greatest visual feat in filmmaking be nominated? I mean the ENTIRE film was pretty much CG. I am confused. It seems to me that the Academy truly has a bias towards Star Wars. What do you all think?
This has been discussed for days in the Official Thread: Awards/Nominations OSCAR SNUBS! thread.

RE: No Academy Award Nomination For ROTS?
They ignore Star Wars because Lucas doesn't care about them. We shouldn't really care either, because it's just a competition. Oscars are not evidence of people's greatness. When someone wins an Oscar, you can be sure that that person did a good job with the film that he/she got an Oscar for, but it does not mean that that person is one of the greatest artists on Earth. The winners are chosen by a jury, not by us.
The Academy Awards - it's full of winners
