Obi-Wan Kenobi-ANH:" Vader helped hunt down destroy the Jedi Knights"

Obi-Wan Kenobi-ROTJ: "...he ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader"

Yoda-TESB: "...old friends long gone."

These examples are what leads me to believe and hope that we see Vader longer than most people think. We have to see him kill Jedi, (including Mace) interact with palpatine, and actualy become Vader physicaly. I don't care what director you are, this cannot be done in five minutes.

Leia-ROTJ:In reference to Padme:"...she was very beautiful, and kind but... sad."

Ok. This makes me think that the twins are born earlier than I thought. Perhaps inbetween EP2 & EP3, or at the beggining of EP3. Or else how would Leia remember Padme, and why would she be sad? The explanation could be that Anakin is seduced much earlier in EP3.

maybe padme doesn't die in ep 3. or maybe ep 3 spans a couple years, giving leia enough time to be old enough to remember. you never know, esb spanned at least a couple weeks. i've also heard something about padme looking into leia's eyes and telling her to remember her, but i don't know if i like that so much. anyway, i don't think anakin/vader knows about the twins. he may know about a pregnancy, but not the twins or not know they survived.

darthobi1:

In ROTJ, do you see any kind of device supporting his vertebrate when you see Anakin's skeleton. I saw some pics that he has support on his arms, but that is all I remember. I would watch ROTJ now but my friend has my tapes. sad

I agree with you in the sense that I would love to see as much Vader as possible! That would be my dream.

But to introduce Vader in the middle of the movie would have things rushed dont you think? What about his lead up to him becoming Vader? He is kinda happy at the end of EpII because of his situation with Padme. So we have to see what makes him really mad once again. We also have to see how Palpy and Dooku manipulate him. What about a possible fight between Anakin and Dooku? Plus dont we have the Clone Wars to go on. Obi-Wan said he "fought alongside Anakin during the Clone Wars." I am sure we have to see this.

And what about Lucas's comments on using DOTF in the last 5 minutes of EpIII? Dont you think he would save that score for the Obi vs. Anakin fight?

Dont you think things will be too rushed if Vader showed up in the middle of EpIII?

Here is my hoping that EpIII will be a 3 hour epic! *not holding breath though* sad

DB93.

All of the details from the injuries on DV
come from the scene in ROTJ SE were he is getting fried! They blew it up and enhanced the picture

It does include the support thing in his neck! Very cool stuff.

DarthBane93,

2. Will Hayden be the actor in the suit when it come time to play him, or will they use someone else?

I could swear that I hear Lucas comment on casting Hayden, because he was 6' 2" (and his acting capabilities). This of coarse has to deal directly with how tall Vader is (with costume and all)... I mean GL would not have casted a short guy, to play a tall menacing villian...

About the page that analyzes his injuries - do you guys think maybe GL changed the way his skeleton looked in the SE to go with his plans for EP III?
I should watch the original and SE tonight to see if they're the same.....

maul_dib:

About Hayden being tall, yeah he is tall, but he is one skinny guy. David Prowse was a bodybuilder and he could sustain and walk around wearing that armour. I highly doubt HC could do that. Plus, Vader looked "built". Hayden looks like a popsicle stick. No offense to any HC fans. I like him as Anakin, but I dont think he can pull off Vader.

About Vader having breathing problems, the link given on the first page of this thread shows a picture of how Vader's skull appeared under his helmet while being electrocuted. It shows that his vertebrate are supported by some metal device, so it is obvious that Anakin did break his neck...probably why he has problems breathing. Something along the lines of what Christopher Reeve had in his unfortunate accident?

The thing is, if Anakin broke his neck, how was he able to "crawl" out of the crater or lava or reactor core (whatever case) like it says in the ROTJ novelization. Also, Mark Hamill was also told that Anakin fell into a crater and he "crawled" out horribly scarred. If he did break his neck, which looks like what happened, how is it possible that he did crawl out under his own power?

Or does Palpatine just have his men go in there and get him?

I agree with Royalguard96.
I think there will be a deal struck between Anakin and the Emporer, maybe Anakin will still be unaware that Sidious and Palpatine are the same person.
Or perhaps he knows about Sidious and believes he has the strength to turn back (double bluffing the Darkside) and he is driven to survive as he knows about his children (Luke at least).
This may have been the motivation for his fight with Obi-Wan, if Obi-Wan was to forsee(with Yoda's help) what happens to Anakin and hides Luke and Leia as a result, then Anakin finds out and they fight, Palpatine may arrive as Obi-Wan leaves him for dead and offer him an option, as Royalguard96 says. The option is turn and be saved, or die.
Once turned he gives himself over to the Darkside and goes after the Jedi.
Imagine what would happen if Anakin, who is on the edge of turning, got his hands on his kid (he may only have known about Luke,"Obi-Wan was wise to hide"....Sister)there would be happy Sith family, that could be Obi/Anakins real reason to fight. Not the speed of training.

Also I know quite a few of you will be familiar with The Belgariad, a Zedar like betrayal could lead to the kind of sympathy GL says we will all feel for Vader when we re-watch the original 3 films.
I know I felt sorry for Zedar at the end.

Oh and I know I have strayed from Sci-Fi to Fantasy, but it's the whole big blue sword thing.

Im really going on here I know but, for all of you who have read the Belgariad=Zedar,Vader,Zedar,Vader HHHHHHHHHHmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm kinda similar.
And the whole controlled and converted by a shadowy dark leader thing.

It might be a simple as there are only seven stories.

Who knows?
no, really who knows?
