I'm really not a "fanboy", I apologize if I sounded like one. I agree with Hunt4 that it makes alot more sense, both character wise and story wise, to have Boba take out Mace. The son avenging the death of his father is a classic theme through many fairy tales and myths. I'm just bothered that so many people prejudge Boba as a punk because of his less than dignified death in ROTJ. The fact is we don't know jack about Boba, he's a complete mystery. We don't know Boba's strengths, his weaknesses, or what talents and skills he possesses. Boba could very well be just as big a badass as Jango. Again, don't blame Boba for his death. Lucas wanted to get rid of this character as simply and quickly as possible without having to alter the story to much and throwing him into the Sarlaac was the most efficient way to accomplish that. Just give Boba a chance and try not to have any misconceptions about him.

Wouldn't you consider Mace, who will prove to the world in Ep2 that he second only to Yoda, if killed by Boba - then would be going out like a punk? Boba is still a pre-teen in Ep3! Only if Boba kills Mace while firing the Slave-1 cannons would this work, IMHO.
Matter of fact, I doubt Boba will even be a bounty hunter in Ep3 yet. Sure, he's got dad's ship now, but he still has some growing to do before is a real warrior.

Regardless of Boba's skills, I just can't see a 13 year old bounty hunter killing Mace Windu, the second ranking Jedi Master in the galaxy. If you think Boba's death looks stupid, Mace fans are going to riot if Boba kills him. However, many people (myself included) that are not Boba fans can see him killing Mace if Mace is already fighting someone like Vader, Dooku, or even Sidious. A sniper shot or something. Maybe he could even disintegrate him. There are a lot of possibilities that allow him to get revenge without making Mace look stupid. I just seriously doubt that it will be one on one.

Read that slowly. Absorb it. What do you suppose he is trying to say?
Would it be feasible for Boba Fett to kill Yoda? No? What's that? Hell no, you say?
Then it is also not feasible to have Boba kill Mace.

We have no information confirming Boba is even in Ep3.

Hypothetically speaking...
If a mid-to-late teens Boba is in the movie, maybe he will get the drop on Sha...er I mean Mace. Maybe Anakin/Vader wants him for some sadistic torture and Boba disinegrates him instead. Think about it

I don't have any preconcieved notions about Boba Fett. That's why I don't think he will be the one to kill Mace. Too many people are PRESUMING he was this all powerful bounty hunter, yet we have had no proof on screen. The only thing he did was follow the Falcon to Bespin, it was the empire who actually caught Han & Leia. Until I see some hard proof of his ability, I have to figure it being a force user who kills Mace.

well, boba needs to disintegrate someone. why not mace? boba and anakin could be dueling mace and boba pulls out the little disintegration and melts the jedi. as a result anakin gets burned or something like that. so in ESM his line "...and no disintegrations..." would have a backstory...eheheh.

Why exactly?? Surely that line can be used just to give Boba Fett a good reputation by the time we see him again in ESB, why on Earth does he have to proove the line. Its a throwaway line, probably because like Jango, Boba has a flamethrower and Vader just wanted to make sure he didnt use it. Who knows, and quite frankly we dont need to know.

If he does it will be in slave 1 but the likelyhood is slim to none.....
it's gotta be Vader or Dooku ...

I hope Dooku kills him. That would be great. I would rather have Vader/Anakin show his strength by killing Dooku.
