	What does everyone think these two droids will be up to and doing in Episode III ?:\| I know there is a thread on their memory wipes, but none on their roles or anything in Episode III. Sapient or Griff or anyone else, if you ok this, could you take this message off ?:\| Do you think we will be seeing C3-PO get his gold platting, or R2-D2 get his jets off? Just wondering about some of the theories people might have. Also, do you think we will be seeing any new droids for the film? Working for the new Empire or anything. 	I think that C-3PO will do something "above and byond" the normal tasks of a driod and thats how he will get his gold plating(except his leg because the rebels are cheap)

	I think 3po will get his gold plating as his "disguise" around the same time as they have their memory wiped

	I have read the threads concerning memory wipes as well. I am not convinced that the memories of the droids have been "erased". Throughout the Star Wars Saga (EU included) droids possess the capacity to simply compartmentalize their existence with various "Masters" and simply serve without the complexities of sentiment. Also, the entire perspective of the Star Wars saga appears to be from that of a recollective perspective. Notice the "crawl" at the beginning of each movie. Almost as a narrative or recollective of events from "long ago...". Also, in ROTJ, R2 and C3PO began relating the tale to the ewoks on Endor pretty much the same as the crawls at the beginning of the movies. 	I would just like to point out that if you except to see how threepio gets his gold plating, or why artoo never uses his boosters again - don't hold your breath, because there are far more important story lines to be developed and concluded in episode 3 which may not leave time for trivial things such as this. Originally 3po was to appear with gold plating in the final scene of AOTC with no explanation at all. It is quite possible he'll just appear with gold plating, and it won't be explain how it got there. The 2 droids role in the PT is very small, so don't expect too much or you'll be dissapointed.

	I would like to see them both do something unordinary for droids. And for some reason, I would like to see a new droid in the movie, maybe helping Sidious and Vader taking out the Jedi, or even working for the Jedi. 	well we do see new droids in each SW film, either helping out the sith, helping the jedi, or kicking jar-jar in the groin.

	I like your idea about R2 being the sort of spy for everything...even though GL claims that the prequels are told thru the Jedi, and the OT is told thru the droids, when you think about it, who has been there for all of the events??? In TPM, R2 was there for the invasion, the visit to Tatooine, the Ride to the silver city, and then back to Naboo. In AOTC, R2 was there for both of the assassination attempts, the hideaway to Naboo, the Trip to tatooine, the trip to Geonosis(sp?), and there for the Clone war. And int the OT, he is pretty much like a foriegner in another country, HE'S ALL OVER THE PLACE. Now granted, you might wonder if it is thru him, how does he know about the things that go on with him not around, please, he is a droid, he can plug into things and I am sure he is talked to by the people every now and then, I would be surprised at all, if GL did make a 7th film, he revealed that the first six was being told to some children, whos I dont know and wont speculate, by R2 during storytime....it would be kind of neat! -----signature----- Yoda: Help you with acting, I can Sam:Thanks, but I think I can handle myself Yoda:No no, teach you I will Sam: Listen you green freak, you better step back before I bust a cap in your a$$ Yoda:Learn, you could not, anyways.
