This is very sad.
I'm going to miss this place--it was a safe haven. The storms of chaos are about to wash us down--to blast us into oblivion.

I've been in the SA forum, but I only post in a few topics. Mostly the box office one, or the occasional random one that catches my interest.
I have decided that I won't even open any threads that have bashing/negative titles anymore over there. All it does is bring me down. I only go into threads that have interesting debates or good things to say, I'm tired of all the negativity over there.

I also stay away from those. But the problem is that virtually all threads over at SA have at least a certain amount of bashing in them.

Yes they do...which is why I only post in a few. And when I do end up in a thread with a negative slant, I definitely try to adopt a positive tone and try to defend the movie.

The worst part about that is that their bashing, for some unknown reason (the Dark Side?), ruin certain parts of the film for me and it takes me a while to shake it off. Luckily I've learn that all that matters for me is how I feel about the film, and I won't let their bashing take my love for ROTS away.

It doesn't affect me anymore.
I was getting a little down when people kept talking about how their expectations of The Duel were let down because they saw "way better" moves and choreography in the Back in Black video that didn't make it into the film.
Then I thought, "Wait, The Duel EXCEEDED my expectations, and my expectations were pretty damn high. Why am I falling for this crap?"
I'll never understand bashers. Sure, I've critiqued the movies plenty of times, and they're not perfect - but I've never seen a perfect film before. 
But the people who just constantly bash, nag and whine about the films...it's just really sad. Why bring other people down? Even if you're right, why ruin other people's vision of the movies? If that's what gives meaning to your life, that's too bad.
Gushers can also be annoying, but I find them easier to ignore.

Yes, some of the negative things they say do bring me down for a bit and ruin things I had not previously noticed.
