At the last meeting I brought some sample name badges that we could use at events like the upcoming DVD Release. I have some (low res) samples visible at:

Pin backed name tags I can provide for free...
however using Pins may be an issue with some costumes - what other alternatives are available?
Magnetic was suggested - I'm not sure what cost that might add.
Some of the other comments from the meeting were:
We should include "Fan Force"
We should add our screen names
We need a Rebel Legion logo (for members of the RL)
Is this something that we want to move forward with?
If people are interested in getting photo name tags -
I will need to get photo's that people will want used on them.

It is my opinion that our badges be Fan Force and chapter specific only. I say this only so that they will be as uniform as possible and not to busy looking. Pictures are great, if everyone has one. Some with and some without isn't good. That's just the way I see it.
I will look around Office max and stuff for badge ideas as for magnets and stuff. Maybe we want to do the lanyard necklace thing.
There is an official FF logo somewhere from last may. They decided on one but I have not seen it since. I will have to ask around.

I like mine as is, The only I would change is the black gap on my forearm where my armor came apart, (Photoshop white in maybe?). I would like to keep the small 501st symbol on the bottom since myself and a few others represent both orginizations. I think the badges look wonderful. Great Job!

Here's my additional thoughts...
I do agree that somewhere our user names should be on the badges, if for no other reason than that's what some people soley recoginze you by....they may not have a clue what your real name is but they know you from posts on the boards. I realize this won't pertain as much to the DVD release event, but I know from other events that people are more inclined to recoginze the user name.
So maybe instead of putting 501st ID's on there, we should use our board names. I think having the small 501st and/or RL picture on there somewhere is cool, but most local people won't know what the ID # is for anyway, and those that do know what the 501st/RL is will recoginze the icon piccy.
Just a thought(s).

I didn't mention it before - but for those that didn't make the meeting - we decided to go with lanyards instead of business cards like I initially designed for.
I'm not sure that I'm 100% happy with these yet -

If it wasn't for the fact that I thought people couldn't read our names, I was tempted to make the name smaller and centered just below The Rebellion logo - and place the costuming logo in the bottom right with the word "Kenner" just to it's left

WOW!!!!!!!!!! That's super cool. It looks so official and everything. I guess having the RL and 501 stuff on there is cool the way you designed it. As far as I am concerned maybe Rochester Fandom as well. Maybe that's to much. That pic of me looks cool but I would like to use the one with my Stormy Belt since its my Han costume for now. I can do an action shot with my Stormy blaster later. Hoth Girls is gonna be like legal size for all her costumes, or she's going to have 5 or 6 different ones. Or better yet Your gonna have to print out all the little pictures for her to switch out.  She can't decide. Although ANH Leia is my choice. Its funny seeing Duane's because of our name and the big rebellion symbol and all.

These are AWESOME! Can I get greedy and have one with the Red background with TD-2709 on it and one with the Blue background with TD-027 on it! Great Job! Are you looking for final pic submissions, cause I like mine as is but, I have one where I photoshoped white into the black where my arm armor split. It really isn't that big of a deal. Again GREAT JOB!

Should I plan on dropping them off your way after work on Thursday and maybe you can laminate them Friday/Monday?

P.S. It won't take me long to do the Lamination thing. Will the Material be more ridgid than normal copier paper? That thicker stuff tends to Laminate better but, whatever you got we will make work!

I was trying to keep it specific to Star Wars clubs that people were in so I though Rochester Fandom to be a bit much.
