We've been invited by the Head of Children Services at the Greece Public Library to participate in their Star Wars program in February. The current dates are Thursday Feb 22nd from 3pm-4pm and Saturday Feb 24th from 11am-12pm.
I let her know that I may not be able to provide anyone for the Thursday event, but please post here if you can do one or both.

The library is considering changing the Thursday event to an evening one in order to accomodate us. Would anyone be able to do that?
Also, I asked her how many characters she was thinking of having and she replied: I would think 2 characters would be fine. I am still working out the details of the program in my mind.
So... for the moment I'd like folks to still post if they can/want to participate and then I'll send her the list of characters (so list your preferred costume too) available and let her pick two (or more if she likes) for each night.

This is actually our next costume event.
I know I said at the meeting that it was Village Gate in March, but I forgot about this one.
Of course, at the moment it's limited to 2 people per session (and there's only two sessions) so this really won't be an event for many of us unless the coordinators as for more characters.
I'll be touching base with the library after New Year's to get an updated status.

The library has opened this event up a bit so we can have more than 2 characters attend, but it's been cut back to one session on Feb 24th (and then a future one on April 12th).
So if there's anyone on here who a) is interested in volunteering, b) hasn't already signed up on the Excelsior boards and c) isn't going to NY Comic Con the same weekend - post here with what costume you'd be wearing.

I think we are still free. Which costume would you prefer? Probably white ANH Leia?
OOPS - just noticed that College of 3 Ravens is the same day. Now it depends on their class schedule whenever they post it.

For those not familiar - the Greece Public Library is on Vince Tofany Blvd or in other words the Town Campus off Long Pond Rd just north of Latta. The library is the south most building on the campus or in other words the building on the left after you've gotten onto the campus entrance road.
We can meet in the lobby between 9:45am-10am to be ready for the 10:30am appearance. If you come in costume, try to wear something to cover it up so that the kids don't see us until it's time. We will have a conference room to change in and store our stuff.

its a few colors, the top like 3 or 4 inches is my natural hair color and the rest changes based on if its sun light or not, it used to be red, but then temp dyed black over it, the black is fadeing out so in the sun my hair shines red but in any other light it looks black
