I just signed us up to host Luke when he comes backpacking this way.
Along the lines of the Traveling Vader that we hosted and the Yoda on world tour that we'll see someday, this Luke is traveling the continent (at the moment in Calgary).
Each chapter is requested to put a postcard from their home city signed by the chapter members in with Luke's box.

There's only a couple more stops before Luke is visiting with us.
Hopefully some of this snow is gone by then or most of his pictures are going to look just like the ones when the Traveling Vader came to town. 
He'll be visiting Buffalo before us and then on to Syracuse.

According to the schedule, he's in Buffalo now.
I haven't heard anything from BobaChris yet, but stay tuned as Luke should be visiting us in the next couple weeks.

I should be getting Luke in the mail within the week.
Too bad the timing is a bit off or we could have done a hand-off at UBCon. Ah, well...
So what fun places do we want to take him to?
We'll have him for two weeks and then he goes with Syracuse to Pittsburgh Comic Con.
So for things already on the schedule: he can come with us to the library event on the 12th, UBCon, our meeting (if we decide which day it'll be) and he can invade the Star Trek club's bowling tourney.
What else?

Just got Luke last night at UBCon from BobaChris.
So he can go on the Heart Walk with us on Saturday and our meeting on Sunday for sure, but what else should we do for him?
He needs to get to Pittsburgh Comic Con (04/27-04/29) either via one of us or I need to mail him to Strawbary.

I can bring him to the Heart Walk...
hand him off to DarSolo for Minis...
then is there someone to get him from Minis to Niagara Falls?
I don't think there's a place for him at the MaW Gala itself, but he could join us for the after event dinner or hang out in the casino.

I won't be going to the Heart Walk. (Luke may be able to fit and hang out in Chewie's bag during the Gala.) Maybe Mike and/or Scott could pop into minis between the Heart Walk and the casino with him.  There's also the possibility of something mid-week since it would probably be a good idea to introduce Bill to the Starships Battle game before Saturday.  The scene from the movie of Luke in his room on Tattooine playing with an Imperial Shuttle just came to mind or would you prefer him holding his X-wing fighter?

Yes, I guessed you might not do the Heart Walk, but I can hand him off to Tom to get to you I was thinking.
Luke's in his Dagobah fatigues so probably the X-Wing would be most appropriate.

Actually, Luke was in the garage in the Lars Homestead, playing with a Skyhopper model, just before uttering the line "...Biggs was right! I'm never going to get out of here!..." Glad I could clear that up.

I bought a Rochester postcard for Luke's box and made up some Rebellion stickers for his passport & box.
Tom will be driving him out to Syracuse and handing him off to Strawbary on Thursday.
Is there anything folks can think of that we can do for/with him before he goes?
One thing I was thinking of was if one of our mini-aholics had a common they would like to donate to get turned into a replic FF award to commemorate his time at the FF Awards ceremony this weekend. I don't think I have any gold spray paint though... I might have silver...
