Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk - Sept 30th

I just received the volunteer form in the mail today for this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
The Rebellion has volunteered at a water station for this event for the past few years and I'd like to see us do it again.
I should note that for our dual/tri members this event conflicts with the Binghamton Zoo event. 
Personally, I'm torn on which I want to do. I had planned on the zoo before hearing the date for this as I thought the younglings would have fun, but due to personal reasons I would like to support the breast cancer event too. I'll have to talk with my family and see what's happening for that day.

You can probably confer with TD-2709 as he's done this in the past, but basically we need to make sure we are signed up to volunteer at our Water Station. Also, make sure all the volunteers are signed up and have sent back in their forms (so they can pick-up their volunteer t-shirt onsite).

I'm planning my move for that day, but... I think I could do the water station (would love to do it in costume...), and then take all our members home with me after to help me with the move... (hint hint, nudge nudge...) Any takers...?

Not good news to report here. I just spoke to Anne Ryan at the American Cancer Society and in response to feedback that they have recieved they have reduced the number of waterstations this year to 3. They also have had well over 200 people volunteer to help at this years event, she is actually having trouble finding jobs for all the vounteers. She also mentioned that another change that was made is that they do not assign full teams to particular jobs since they had a whole team not show for a critical job last year (probably water distributors) Wink Anyway to make a long story short we are not assigned to a water station this year and is sounds like going forward it may not be an option in the future. If anyone wants to walk it I would still be interested.
