He had played his part and there seemed to be little else that he could do at the moment. Layor's flash grenade had helped to drive the Rebels back, allowing his comrades to press forward with renewed attack. Rhys Varn led the attack with a grenade of his own, taking advantage of the Rebels' momentary lack of clear vision. Before Layor could move in to provide backup, Dasnei stepped into the corridor, alongside Varn. Together, they opened fire upon the Rebels. Draug Layor almost smiled to himself. There was little chance that the Rebels would survive the attack. At the very least, he expected them both to be seriously injured. Unfortunately, Layor could do little to help. If he joined the firefight he'd simply be wasting his blaster's power pack. There was little more that he would be able to do anyway. Instead, he chose to remain in the corridor and head back around the lab's other side. He stopped in mid-motion. There was a chance that, if they were smart enough, the Rebels would retreat and come in behind Varn and Dasnei. Layor decided to do that very thing himself, and if the Rebels had the same thing in mind then he'd be ready for them. He crouched as low as he could while moving at a fast pace, back and around the lab so that he came out behind the enemy. He pulled out his frag with one hand and held his rifle in the other as he approached ...
Entering the personal quarters of Captain Devis, a man in an Imperial Uniform, waited patiently outside. Lt. Cmd Henry Tlak'sar was here waiting for his first assignment on which he would be in command of. Watching on the other side, Devis realized who the gentleman on the other side was, and was eager to see him in. With a quick acknowledgement from behind the door, it slid open to reveal the captain sitting behind his desk. "Ah, Lt.Cmd Tlak'sar, im glad that you could make it. Please sit down. Now then i have some good news for you. Due to your great scores at the Academy, i have deemed it that you are ready for your first command. You will now have your very own Carrack Cruiser under your command." Handing him a datapad, the admiral continued to discuss the nature of Henry's first mission. "In the region south of the planet Bestine, the planet Yag'Dhul is at the crossings of 2 Major Space lanes, the Corellian Trade Route and the Rimma Route. This planet is a key planet to hold if we wish to ensure the saftey of the inner rim and the core from outside attack. Your mission, is to survey the planet and the surrounding system, and engage any hostiles that may be in the area. There may not be any enemy confrontation, but still be prepaired. You must claim this planet in the name of the empire! Any questions?"
Emperor Iaius I Veers was busy making his conquest, and Cransin was flying back to his newly alotted territory. There was nothing for Iaius to do. The Emperor considered contacted Kiera to ask her about the situation on Imperial Center, but he dismissed it. She could handle things without him having to look over her shoulder. If she needed anything, she would have contacted him. So, Iaius sat. Bored, he decided to employ his telekinetic abilities to slam pieces of parafin together to make interesting collisions in the air. Eventually, he used the finest telekinetic control he could muster and molded them into the shape of ships--and simulated an epic space battle. He was that bored. Here he was, Emperor of the known galaxy, playing Force games with parafin. If that wasn't a waste of time and the Force, he didn't know what was. He should have been doing something more productive--' --of course! Iaius figured that it would take a least two or three days to secure the planet, and a few more to conduct priminary negotiations. He might as well occupy himself in the meantime, and what better than to practice his skills in the Force? At first, he tried meditation and telekinetic exercises, but they soon proved to be highly ineffective. A dueling droid, he knew, wouldn't make any difference at all: since he would draw on his natural fencing skills, instead of the Force. What to do, then? He didn't know. What did Force users do to train? It should've been something that he asked Obdurate about, but unfortunately, he neglected to do so. After some consideration, Iaius brought up the copies he had made of the Imperial Database at the Information Center. He browsed through the files, learning a lot about Jedi lore and Palpatine's musings on the Sith. Surely interesting reading, but it didn't quite help him. He considered giving up, just when a curious entry caught his eye...
Depressing the trigger, Leran sent lances of energy shooting towards the Y-wing, hoping to strafe the aging fighter along the top, then swing around for another pass to finish her off.
Emperor Iaius I The Emperor's sleek little craft sliced through the atmosphere of the planet Ruusan like a fine edge. It smoothly flew through the entry, unlike most ships which weren't nearly as graceful as the N-1. He anticipated spending a fair bit of time looking through the ruins here, so he had deferred local command at Brentaal over to Admiral Plasvic during the duration and any important events were to be relayed from the Eternal Blade to Kiera in the Imperial Palace. He wasn't logged as being absent, but simply busy and unavailable. Iaius chose a landing spot half a kilometer from where the entrance to the Valley was said to have been, and he chose to walk the remainder of the way. Tightning the fastenings of his armored suit and clipping the blaster on his belt opposite that of his sword, the Emperor made way for the entrance.
The small but powerful cruiser reverted to realspace outside the system, as to not disrupt anything that may be around the planet. Launching what little fighters they had, The TIE/rcs, recon fighters, swarmed inwards twards the system to get a better feel of what was near the planet. Soon enough, they would be able to relay their information back, and inform the Lt. if anything was amiss or amuck.
