"Speak"
Emperor Iaius I "Ah, so then you designed his wardrobe and dressed him as well?" Iaius remarked dryly, "I can't imagine that was very pleasant." Iaius was in a rather sour mood, and this uppity Sith Lord didn't help things. A while ago, he would not have dared spoken back--even as Galactic Emperor--but he knew this Jean wasn't a threat to him, or he'd have been able to detect his Force presense in the temporary infinite energy inside the well of the Valley. "I've already been informed of the death of Sil Dugal... but I'm unaware of any persons named Viceroy Jusila. Has there been a change in the situation? Last I was told, the causes of the explosion were uncertain..."
"Well yes, Viceroy of Byss, Ms. Jusila, was the only other person present at the time of the assasination. She lived long enough to give me her last mental images and memories of the assasin. We are dealing with a formerly unknown race, that seems to be working with the Rebellion." Something strage eminated from the feeling of the Emperor, infact, this feeling had not been felt since he had been standing next to the real emperor many years prior. This man, had an extremely powerful force presence. He knew now, that he had a way to prove to him what he knew, was genuine. Reaching out, across the galaxy, Jean sent out a very strong push, to tell the emperor, he ment business. Along with that, he send a vivid image of this new Alien that hope had let him see as well. "I have been ordered, by my late superior Ms. Jusila, to prepare myself against any of these aliens that might come around once again. I know that this wont be the last time we see of them. Therefore, i also ask if i may use imperial resources to seek out that of my former, and extremely wise former Master, Lord Obdurate. If i am to be able to carry this out, as Grand Inquisitor, i must speak with him. I have been out of touch with the sith order for far too long.
Emperor Iaius I "Byss?" the Emperor repeated quizically, "What's Byss?" His curiousity was also tempered by a sudden flash and a mental image of a horribly disfi--no doubt sent by the Sith Lord, Jene. Yes--assassins that could sneak past Imperial Intelligence was something to be concerned about. Perhaps this Sith Lord, along with Obdurate, would be able to put a stop to these mysterious and stealthy aliens before the Rebellion used them in numbers. "Lord Obdurate is currently on Yavin IV," the Emperor simply stated. There was no need for Jean to know why the Emperor knew. "He's near the ruins on the moon's surface. They'll detect you on approach. Try..." the Emperor was well aware of the enmity between the Sith and the Jedi "...not to kill any Jedi. Not yet, anyway."
"Suprizing that you know of his where-abouts, no doubt you've seen him recently i suppose. But it is sad to hear, that even you, the emperor, know nothing of Byss. Tis funny to think they've kept you in the dark. I will have to tell you sometime of how important of a person i really am. Thank you for your time." Bowing over the small holoimage, the Sith lord faded away once again. Headed out, he moved straight for the hanger bay once again, and headed out towards his new destination, Yavin IV.
Dropping out of hyperspace near the very inhabited planet, Jean's personal ship, stolen from the once dangerous Lord Nyax, streaked towards the planet.
Emperor Iaius I And without even a word--much less a bow--towards his liege, the flippant Sith Lord signed off in a huff. Well, good riddance, Iaius thought--the man would have to learn manners. Still, his manner didn't only irk the Emperor, it confounded him. He knew Intelligence kept secrets from him--even Dugal, who seemed to like him--but he felt that he was missing something important. Perhaps it was time to change that. However much Dugal and Iaius respected each other, there was never enough time to properly arrange a working relationship. He would have to correct that error with Iceheart, who hopefully held no grudges from her failed attempt at the throne. So, he patched Isard in an Obsidian level transmission and affixed his royal seal on the transmission to give it priority. He had a few questions...
Emperor Iaius I The Galactic Emperor, clothed in all his royal splendor, addressed the Director of Imperial Intelligence for the first time since he had ascended to the throne. But he was not to speak first: decorum held that the other always bowed and greeted the monarch. And so it would be.
He never did like visiting hospitals, he always thought of them as being too sterile, and bland. His only memories of hospitals were that of his father on his death bed. He did not want to associate the hospital with any other persons death either. Approaching the main desk, he placed his hands behind his back as he waited for a nurse to answer his question. "Hello sir, how may i help you?" "I am looking for General Thane, could you point me to his location?" "Oh, of course, He is room 216." "Thank you." Making his way down the hall, Randal wondered exactly how the General was faring. Last he had seen of him, he was still in the bacta tank with major injuries. As he walked into the room, he saw that thankfully, the man was out of the tank, and now was in a bed, and awake. "General Thane! I see you are doing alot better. I am glad to see so."
Dogfight Simulation Keraam attempted another maneuver that would hopefully put him on the Y-wing's six. He banked hard left, then right, and finally back left. The Y-wing stuck with him the first two turns and over compensated on the third turn, placing him in Keraam's sights for the kill.
Enroute to Taanab Once the graduates had board the shuttle, the high-ranking officer in charge ordered for departure. The shuttle rose into the air, extended its wings, and raced for the heavens. In a few minutes, Major Magnus Wagner entered the troop compartment and passed out datapads to the soldiers. "On these datacards are the details of your assignment." He began and allowed them to read the cards first before he continued. Each card gave details of the mission objectives and informed the men of the world which they were attempting to take over. Taanab was an agricultural world that produced sixty percent of the galaxies grain and other major food products. Members of High Command believed that if they could control the distribution of food products throughtout the galaxy, they could force whole worlds to switch allegiance from the rebellion to the Empire without having to fire a single shot. "Your objective is to take control of the distribution centers on the planet. Each Captain will have one company of stormtroopers under their command. The Inseperable has reported stiff resistence around the distribution centers from the local natives, so expect this mission to be tedious and difficult. Any questions?"
Enroute to Brentaal Once the graduates had board the shuttle, the high-ranking officer in charge ordered for departure. The shuttle rose into the air, extended its wings, and raced for the heavens. In a few minutes, Major Sean Klusto entered the troop compartment and passed out datapads to the soldiers. "On these datacards are the details of your assignment." He began and allowed them to read the cards first before he continued. Each card gave details of the mission objectives and informed the men of the world which they were attempting to take over. Brentaal was a Core World located on the same stretch of the Perlemian Trade Route as Coruscant, Chandrilla, Corulag, and three other worlds. It had been recently blockaded by the Galactic Emperor and was currently still being pacified by Field Marshal Maximilian Veers and Moff Wilhad Cransin. The last report to come from the C-n-C gave the location of the rebellion's main base on the surface near Cormond City. "Your objective is to help in defeating and securing the rebel base. Captain Heinrich Wolfe will be your mission commanding officer. He is currently engaged with rebel forces near a hidden bunker which is believed to lead into the base. Captain Layor will be this unit's commander. Lt. Dasnei and four other stormcommandos make up your unit, Captain. Any questions?"
It was on the very same day of his graduation that he received the message. Draug Layor wondered if perhaps his dream would be fulfilled. He would not lose hope. The message was from the Armed Forces Division of the Imperial Academy on Carida, from which he had recently graduated. He read the message carefully, replying without hesitation. He would serve the Empire in any way he was able, and even if it was not to make his dreams a reality, perhaps it would lead him toward that eventual goal. He almost smiled at the thought. With his reply and acceptance sent, he finished packing for the trip to Brentaal. Captain Draug Layor felt confident in his uniform, and satisfied with his new rank insignia. He made his way toward Landing Bay Twelve, where a shuttle would take him to Brentaal to join with Field Marshal Maximilian Veers' army group on the surface in the pacifying of the locals. It would be an honour to service with the man and an opportunity to prove his worth. Layor left his quarters without regret or a thought of looking back. He was on the path to his destiny. Time was his only hurdle to overcome. Several minutes later, he boarded the shuttle, finding some comfort upon seeing Dasnei having been assigned to the same location. He had worked with her before, which would prove to eliminate uncertainties and barriers that would arise under circumstances with unknown comrades. It was efficiency. Draug recognised the officer giving the briefing as a Major. He nodded his thanks upon receiving his datapad, and read through its information thoroughly. Any questions?" He did not hesitate. His had been given his opportunity and he would not fail. "Only one, sir," he said. "What equipment and weaponry will we be given?" He considered asking as to whether he was to locate Captain Wolfe with his team, or if he would be contacted. It did not matter. Once he was on Brentaal, Draug Layor intended to find the Captain, regardless of what the Rebels brought his way.
