Enroute to Brentaal "Only one, sir," Layor said. "What equipment and weaponry will we be given?" Major Klusto answered, "You can find additional information on your equipment and weapons on the datacard." The datacard that they all had been given informed the stormcommandos that they would be issued a set of stormcommando armor, a standard blaster rifle, smoke and stun grenades, plastic explosives, spare power packs, a combat knife, survival equipment, and communications gear.
Dogfight Simulation Keraam pressed the trigger on his stick and emerald blasts of energy stabbed toward the clumsy Y-wing starfighter. The laser blasts tore through the shields and the hull within seconds. The ancient craft detonated into a ball of flame as fuel and oxygen ignited. "Excellent work, Cadet." The Instructor's voice praised over the interanl comm system. "Let's see how you fare against the next wave." And as if on cue, two more targets dropped out of hyperspace and adjusting course to intercept the TIE Starfighter.
Enroute to Taanab "I have a question, Major," Zanis said, "What are these natives armed with?" "That information is unfortunately, unknown to us. However, Intelligence believes that if they are armed with anything it will be simple hand blasters and the occasional rifle," Major Wagner answered. "Though that does not mean these natives will be easy to subdue. Expect the unexpected." He waited to see if there were anymore questions.
Escort & Defend Simulation Leran faught back his instinct to dive and out of the way of the crossfire the two Headhunters had placed him in. Instead he nosed his starfighter upward to fly between the two rebels and out of their line of fire. The maneuver placed him above and a clear shot at either one of the Z-95s.
Imperial Academy, Carida The Instructor sent Cadet TK-782 to the simulation complex where he would begin the next part of his training. The Sim Instructor there then gave the Cadet the equipment he needed in order to be in the simulation. Once inside, the recruit found himself on the outskirts of a rebel communications outpost. It consisted of three buildings, a landing platform and one giant relay dish pointing toward the sky. The compound was surrounded by a wire fence two meters high and rebel patrols followed the fence line. There was also guard towers at the gate with spotlights searching the area outside the compound. The sky was filled with stars and two cresent moons on the horizon to the southeast and to the northwest just coming over the horizon was a cerulean gas giant. Around the compound and where TK-782 was, is a thin forest. Exotic creatures native to the planet howled or hooted into the night. Over the Cadet's communication link inside his infantryman helmet, the Instructor explained the mission details to him. "This is a sabotage mission. The primary objective is to destroy the communications dish with the satchel explosive. Secondary objectives and essential to your escape are to sabotage the motorpool, destroy the guard towers and escape through the main gate with a stolen speeder. You are alone on this mission and are equppied with a DL-44 pistol and a E-11 rifle. Any other weapons or power packs you will have to pick up inside the compound. You are wearing light armor over green infantryman BDUs. Good Luck, Cadet."
Emperor Iaius I Iaius shook his head. "That's it, Director. Good day."
SSD Terror - Undisclosed Location The ISD Conquest soon fell in with the rest of the supply fleet off the starboard bow of the invisible Super Star Destroyer. The Captain of the Conquest did not particularly enjoy being a taxi service for the General, but at least it was something different out of the mundane patrol route and guardianship of the supply ships. General Thane did not like using the ship for transporting him to and fro throughout the galaxy, but it was necessary in keeping the Terror's location a secret. Even though the cloaked ship was always constantly on the move, a tracking device on his shuttle could reveal the ship's location as if it was not equipped with a stygium cloaking field. Thus why he traveled to the Star Destroyer at a random location first, returned the shuttle to whatever system he departed from and came to the Terror aboard the Conquest. It was redundant, but necessary. "Navigation, calculate the next jump." Admiral Sarn commanded as General Thane strode onto the deck of the large bridge. "Comms, upload the coordinates to the rest of the fleet." General Thane observed the crew members busily working at their tasks, keeping his ship fuctioning properly. He was not phased at the sight of identical faces, he had purposely replaced the entire crew of the ship with clones to make it harder for infiltrators and sabotuers. "I see you kept my ship in one piece, Admiral." Admiral Sarn slowly spun around on his heel at hearing the voice of his superior. "General Thane." He was surprised to see the young man return so early from Coruscant. "The Terror is running at 100% as usual, sir." Sarn was an idiot, but Thane only tolerated him because he was the most familiar with the ship and its capablities. And Sarn was an excellent administrator. If it ever came down to a space battle with someone, he would leave the fighting to one of the clones whose expertise is in space combat. "Good. Where are we headed today?" "Random Jump Coordinate 340A, sir." Sarn answered in the code Thane had devised to keep the Terror's jump pattern random at all times. He, Covell, Sarn, the ship Captains and the navigators were the only ones who really knew where the fleet headed with each jump. The random pattern was always updated every month just in case someone somehow got a hold of the schedule. "That one is a distant jump." "Yes, sir, it is." "I'll leave you be to run the ship. Inform me of anything out of the ordinary, Admiral." Thane turned and left the bridge to meet with Colonel Derricote and Covell down in the labs. He wanted to see how things were developing for the Doppleganger operation. Once there he wasted no time on pleasantries and went straight to the questioning. "Is the subject almost ready?" He inquired, stepping over to the cloning tank that held the developing body of a clone. "It will be ready within a week, sir." Derricote informed, sounding proud at his creation. "Have you given him the other sample, Freja?" Thane asked. Covell nodded. "It'll be a month before this subject is completed. But I recommend we hold off putting this one on the board until a ripe opertunity presents itself." "Of course. I would not be so foolish to do anything else otherwise." Thane agreed and turned away from the clone floating in the slimey green fluid. "I have another job for you, Freja." "Sir?" "You will return to Myrkr and inform Talon Karrde of the legalization of his operations in Imperial space." The young General handed Covell two datacards. "On the one are the details of jobs for Karrde, the other is for you." Colonel Covell looked over the two datacards curiously and nodded in understanding when he read the second one. "I won't fail you, sir." "I suggest you depart now with the Conquest before we jump to hyperspace." Thane warned and Covell saluted sharply before quickly leaving.
"Yes, you distrub me for what reason?" the normally quite Admiral spoke. The young Lt. Standing infront of him quickly handed him a datapad, containing a recently recieved message. "Is that all?" "Yes Sir" "Very well, dismissed." Reading over the message, the newly familiar name seemed to be the recipient, Grand Admiral Grek Vullorn. Isard had spoken of this man, and said he was worth speaking to as soon as possible. Perhaps this was the perfect time to do so. Walking onto the bridge, Randal leaned over to say his orders to the helmsman. "Plot a course to Yaga Minor, i wish to be there as soon as possible. Inform the Fist of Fondor of the coordinates." The two ships quickly turned outward from the coruscant system, and jumped towards their new destination, for a meeting that would set the course of the empire in the Outer Rim.
ISD Conquest - Myrkr The Imperial-class Star Destroyer Conquest fell into a high orbit over the temperate planet, Myrkr. A squadron of TIE Fighters exited the main hanger along with several tugs carrying cargo pods and several troop transports. Two TIE Fighters exited with a Lambda-class Shuttle and diverged from the main group to head for Karrde's main base. The main group headed for the forest where the indigenous ysalamiri lived. With the shuttle safely landed at Karrde's base, the TIE Fighters circled once and left to rejoin the Conquest. The shuttle ramp lowered and Colonel Covell and Major Brek exited the vessel, unarmed.
Karrde's Base - Myrkr Andrel Baldrac headed out from the Base to greet the newcomers. Colonel Covell and Major Alan Brek watched the man cautiously. Covell had warned that Talon Karrde might not be so welcoming if the smuggler learned what he had done the last time they had met. Major Brek kept a watchful eye while his superior greeted the middleman. "Mr...Baldrac is it?" Covell greeted and then motioned for the man to lead the way to his boss.
With either of the Headhunters to choose from, Leran angled in on the port fighter, switching power back to his lasers and linking them for maximum effect. Triggering the firing stud, he sent laser fire pouring into the Headhunter.
Escort & Defend Simulation With either of the Headhunters to choose from, Leran angled in on the port fighter, switching power back to his laser and linking them for maximum effect. Triggering the firing stud, he sent laser fire pouring into the Headhunter. The Headhunter's shields quickly fell as it tried to escape by diving down, a mistake that cost the rebel pilot dearly. The old starfighter disappeared from Leran's tactical display and bits and pieces of the rebel ship bouncing off his shields confirmed the kill. The second Headhunter dropped in behind the Gunboat and pelted the rear shields with dual-linked blasts.
Karrde's Base - Myrkr "I am here to speak with your boss, Karrde." Covell replied, slightly annoyed.
