"I like your style of thinking admiral, im suprized i didnt hear word of your ways of thinking ealier in my career. I'll see to it that you get your ships. Now, other than firepower, do you need any assistance here at Yaga minor, it looks as if you've had some trouble after the attack."
Pandath, Taanab Captain Ulmar and his one hundred stormtroopers quickly raced toward the processing plant compound in groups of ten. Staying low they fanned out and approached from different points. The Rhuum grain fields partially hid them from sight of anyone inside the compound. The wind blew against the stalks, sending them to sway aside, and parted slightly as the Imperials moved through them. Then something from a few meters in front of Gamma Troop popped into the air and arched in their direction to land and explode just in front of them. Two stormtroopers fell to the grenade attack and the stalks in front of the group parted to reveal a charging alien with a bayonetted rifle. Red, Black, and Kappa Troops also encountered groups of one or two aliens and humans charging at them or opening fire with blasters or lobbing grenades.
Pendath, Taanab Sergeant Ydoban led his squad of stormtroopers ahead of the main group. The soldiers traveled down the streets in the direction of the city's food processing plants. The streets were deserted except all but a few civilians trying to get somewhere other than where the Imperials were. The city had quickly turned into a ghost town and that made tensions run high among the soldiers since they had been informed of stiff resistance elsewhere. Then suddenly, as the stormtroopers rounded a building's corner, laser fire blasted away several chunks of the building's duricrete, sending splinters everywhere. Down the street about a block away was a barricade of crates and sand bags, behind it was an E-web manned by a soldier and five more armed with blaster rifles. Lt. Modnar's squad kept pace with Captain Varn's on the opposite side of the street, they were a few blocks behind Sergeant Ydoban's group when they heard the raport of a blaster cannon firing ahead.
Dogfight Simulation Keraam headed straight for the two Y-wings along a head-on-head approach with the idea of spearheading between the two. He barrel rolled a performance that only very few could manage, a sign of an ace in the making. The enemy starfighters opened up on Keraam's starfighter with both laser and ion cannons, his maneuver keeping his starfighter intact, otherwise he would have been space dust with his head on approach. He spearheaded the two Y-wings, splitting them in opposite directions as they looped around to catch him in a crossfire.
Defence Simulation The Instructor was pleased with Cadet Maq Lohg's answers and quickly sent him on his way to the simulation complex where he would begin his prelimary test. The instructor there handed him the necessary equipment and entered him into the selected simulation. Lohg found himself in the middle of an arch bridge that has recently seen a battle. Burnt out and still burning speeders lay everywhere as well as dead bodies and tons of debrie. On the end that he was nearest to, he could see two pillboxes--a low fortification housing repeating blaster cannons and made of duristeel--guarding the entrance, one of them was currently burning and two stormtroopers were trying to put the fire out. Other fortifications that had been erected to defend the bridge were sandbag barricades with E-web blaster cannons or just armed infantrymen. "The objective is simple; defend the bridge's north entrance from the enemy force until reinforcements can arrive to relieve the bridge defenses," the instructor informed the cadet. "You are armed with a repeating blaster rifle and one thermal detonator with a five meter radius. There are approximately twenty infantrymen and stormtroopers helping to defend the bridge along with you. "The numbers and types of the enemy force is unknown but believed to consist of infantry to light armor." With that, the instructor left the cadet alone to complete the objective. "Here they come!" Shouted an infantryman pressed against a sandbag barricade. Ahead at the mouth of the bridge a squad of lightly armored rebel infantry charged from the right flank, using the ferrocrete and duristeel of the arch bridge as a partial shield. The Imperial defenses opened up along with the charging rebels.
