	IC: The Emperor/Darth Sidious Location: The Emperor's Throne Room There was a sudden storm visable outside the glass Throne Room. In the rooms darkness, the light of the lightning lit everything in sudden photorealistic monochrome glares. Sidious sat regarding how it reflected his sudden mood. Why was SHE here. Why had SHE or, IT, rather come to spoil this assemblege. Then to open Sidious's vision to such possibilities. Behind him her heard the footfalls of his Apprentice coming. He had the air of concern about him afterall. All of what Sidious had seen should not be revealed all at once, but his Apprentice sought appeasement and it would be instructive for Vader to be on his guard. Surely he had seen the golden woman. The Being would certainly have included him in its vision, but perhaps not as pointedly. "Master?" came the young voice behind him. Sidious willed his chair around to face Vader. Seeing his Apprentices cobalt blue eyes seeming to glow in the darkness, expectant, Sidious could not but inwardly flich. The eyes in his vision that were multiplied by two. "Surely you saw HER wandering through our Ball just now. It seems we are forever to be plaugued by spirits from beyond or by powers that should know better than to meddle." Sidious growled with the full rasp of his gravely voice. Clearly he was in a mood once more and just when things were becoming enjoyable. Sidious sighed and regained control over himself to some measure. Sidious stood and seemed to glide like a black spectre to the glass wall. Vader followed to join him. [cue Luke's Theme, in Minor chords] "We may have a new enemy in the coming years, Lord Vader. One that will challenge us both. One who can possibly bring what we have achieved down around us." Sidious intoned with a touch of the faraway in his rasping voice. "We have all been given special gifts in the Force, my Apprentice. Your's are obvious in your strength and prowess. Mine are somewhat more . . . subtile. I have been given the power to see what is to come, Lord Vader, and what I have just seen disturbs me greatly, my friend. We must be cautious as we proceed in the coming years and we must do so with great vigilance." Sidious's voice grew dark and low. [cue The Emperor's Theme] Sidious turned with his yellow eyes that flashed and glittered with terrible insight. "The rest of the Jedi MUST be found and destroyed, Lord Vader. Aaaallll ooofff theemmm, without exception and soon . . . if we are to survive." Sidious turned back to the approaching storm "ALLL OF THEEEM!" 	IC: Anakin LOCATION: the Throne Room, Imperial Palace, Coruscant "ALLLLL of them!" Sidious' words came at him, crashing through the delicate palace of hope he had begun to erect, and his heart screamed, "NO!" Just as quickly, Anakin clamped down on it, but the tears that stained his cheeks glistened amongst the shadows of the rain drops pouring down the slopes of the glass roof overhead, the rain a perfect echo of his despair. He had begun to hope again. How had that happened? To mend even? To believe in a future? How, how had he not safe-guarded it, and now it fell in jagged shards about him. The memories, the blood everywhere, those cries,...that look upon HER face, and then HIS words! "You are the "Chosen One" - you were supposed to destroy him, not join him!"..... The world sucked away! "Threat? What threat, Master," said Anakin closing his eyes and swallowing, suddenly feeling he would wretch, his voice husky and weakly avoiding three very significant issues. His mind was racing. If he could have, he would have bound from the room and carried Celeste as far away as he could manage. But he would bow his head and say, "Yes, Master, but could they not be persuaded, now that they have no cohesion?" He stood firm, though his world was shattered. 	Padme Amidala and a Bunch of people! - Outer Rim - A crowded place!- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Padme made the round of introductions. Standing next to Hannes she saw that he was about to make a comment to Mr. Starwind about his rather used clothing.Still smiling,Amidala grounded her heel into Vanepp's foot just as he opened his mouth. "Aahhhh!" "You'll have to excuse Han,he has the occasional outburst.Dorme and I have 2 rooms cleaned and I'm sure we can find a couple more sleeping pads.We were just about to go in and dine on rations.Come, join us." "What was that for?" Han leaned down, whispering into Padme's ear. "You know exactly what that was for.You were about to comment on Mr. Starwind's wardrobe, later why don't you offer him some of your clothing." "My clothing!" "Well, I can't offer him any of mine now, can I? Besides my wardrobe is very limited these days." "It looks as if he's worn those clothes his entire life..I don't want.." "Han, do you want me to step on your other foot?" "No.For a little thing, you sure do know how to ground a heel in." "Defense training,compliments of Captain Panaka, a long time ago." *** Amidala and Padme passed out the rations in what aptly became known as the 'Pool Room'. Senob tested the water and certified it was indeed pure and it could be used for their drinking/cooking water. There were no chairs so all gathered about the fire, sitting upon the marble floor. "We found the refresher as well, but it needs work, new piping." "I can work on that tomorrow, unless you want to Padala." Hannes teased. "I'll be glad to lend you a hand with my new found plumbing skills, Han." Padme opened her container of rations and began to laugh. "What is it Pad?" "FireStew...again...When I visited our fleets, the menu both times, FireStew...." "After we finish our bounty I need to show you something." "Very well Giles." Padme apologized to Revus and the others about the rations. "I hope with this fresh water we can grow some of our own food. Rations can only be tolerated so far -." *** TAG: Lan Revus & Others

Anakin, now this "Vader", certainly has excellent tastes. Reminds me of that pretty woman from Geonosian execution arena... "Yes in most senses," Boba explained, "to 'deal with someone' means to take life. You are correct. But a warrior you say, Lady Vader? Perhaps, but I am a hunter. The way I see things, a warrior will charge head-first willingly into the thickest of fighting to conquer a field of battle. Those like myself, though trained to fight like professional soldiers, would be the polar opposites, striking from the shadows and using environments to our advantages. And in some, perhaps we bounty hunters are something greater than warriors, or at least we all have the potential." 	IC: Kessa Location: Ravager, monorail Kessa hadn't thought of her vision or of Anakin Skywalker for a while. But she did know that the former Jedi was certainly capable of the feat of killing Lord Tyranus, so she voiced her opinion. "He could have done it . . . Tyranus used Makashi, but I don't think even it's precision could've stood up to Skywalker's sheer power." The Lunarian thought about it for a second, trying to remember the feelings she got from the moment of Dooku's death. "I don't think Anakin was the one who landed the killing blow, however. Anakin was there, but so was someone else, another dark spot in the Force. That other warrior was the one who killed Tyranus, I think." Kessa watched the droids that had just entered the car sit down, and resumed speaking. "That doesn't mean that Anakin had nothing to do with it, he probably had plenty to do with it. It just means that he wasn't the one who finished Tyranus, that's all." Kessa thought of her vision again, of the possible battle between Grievous and Skywalker. "If you end up crossing blades with Skywalker, I think now it should turn out differently from my vision. It happened before I fixed your little problem . . . not having to deal with constant anger should make you fight a lot better. Then she continued holding a crooked finger to her lower lip,"is there an end. Will you one day put down your armor? Or must you pursue? You are so young," she remarked, pointing with the finger and letting it fall to her lap. She thought poignantly, could he stop now? Celeste looked about the ballroom. There were Urseans who now began to approach. Only the two sat upon the dias, Fett and the Reina. She could not concentrate, struck by a sudden pang and she felt a deep, deep despair. She swallowed and gazed at those earnest eyes. Now she looked down into her lap, and turned her hands in agitation. "Dooku tried many times to have me killed and then ...he took the Re's ship. He planned to take me. My husband and his 2nd, they vanquished him. Now, I see that the cards were stacked against him with you also in pursuit," she tried to find a subject on which to speak, but her heart was not in it. Her mind was trained on her betrothed, and she thought she might break under the sadness. Her eyes welled with tears and she trembled in the midst of this great celebration. She nodded lightly and smiled as some passed and bowed. Laughter and conviviality rang from either side of them. She glanced at Tarkin and the red-head, and thence to Boba Fett, "I hope you enjoy the celebration, Mr. Fett..." The room began to spin, the ceiling to meet the floor. "Would you be so kind as to ...to fetch ...the major-domo...find the Re...please..." The room was going black and that would not do. She gripped the edge of the table and bit the side of her mouth to keep conscious. *** In the throne room, would he not relent? Anakin looked up to Sidious brow furrowed and hands knotted. 	OOC: Congratulations Pasha. I can think of no one more desrving that title than you. IC: Darth Sidious Location: Throne Room Sidious looked on his Apprentice and saw the conflict there. Anakin was still quite alive and the Jedi still had their hooks in him. Anakin's despair now reflected Sidious's own despair and utter frustration. Sidious's shoulders sank as he looked at the tears that the rainshadow could never hide. What was he to do with the boy. Sidious's face soured into a mask of near cartoonlike horror as the creases in his face became impossibly deeper and his furrowed brow became incredibly heavier. His face looked like a melting death mask. His eyes glitterd with anger barely maintained. Sidious turned and reached with the Force to his black cane and used it to hobble back to his throne. "Ohhhh, Anakin. When will I ever get you to see? When will I ever get you to believe?" The voice of the Master took on Palpatine's lighter sound filled with great sadness. Sidious sounded older than Yoda at the moment. Perhaps he was? Sitting the Dark Ruler turned in his chair toward Anakin Vader Skywalker, Darth . . . whoever this person was who stood in front of him. The rain suddenly came down in torrents and the lightning flashed through the windows making the Throne Room livid with its dark shapes and feelings. "What you did in the Temple of the Jedi. It was necessary. A horrible thing, but necessary. The Jedi sought but two destinies for you, my son. They sought either to control you or to destroy you. When they could not do the one they tried the latter by trying to contain you. They knew of our friendship and sought to use it to cut two ways, as a saber master might. They sought to use it to reveal and destroy me and they sought to use it to break your friendship with me and thus isolate you further from any chance at freedom from their control. Your nature is to struggle and to choose your own destiny and you need freedom to do that. To deny you that freedom is to kill you, Young One. I have ALWAYS known this of you and it is why I have tried for all of your young life to teach you the way to empower yourself." Sidious said calmly. "When at last the Jedi made their well planned move to separate you from me they went in for the kill and kill me they nearly did, if not for your Free Choice to help me. Thank the Force that you did do the right thing, what your heart told you to do, or I would be dead now and you would be dead with me. Your very soul would be dead. Crushed under the chains of the Jedi oppression of the spirit. Their weakness would have played out and the CIS would have conquered the Republic and Dooku, with his pet droid, would have your head as his ornament. Celeste would be wedded to him now and enslaved to him and Padme would still be dead." Sidious said with certain sadness. "Yes, my young Apprentice. I SAW all of this long before you were ever discovered by the Jedi. Before you knew me, I knew of you and I knew of your destiny. All of my mechanations. All of the war. All of the deception. All of the intrigues. All of this . . . I did for you. I sacrificed two Apprentices. I even had my own WORLD subjugated for you, so that you could be free. So that you could make your choices and come to the very conclusions that I knew you had to come to to save us all from what I SAW coming." Sidious stood with his finger in the air now, emphatic. "Would any of your old Jedi 'Masters' have done that for you. NO. Kenobi was sent to KILL you, Anakin, just as Windu was sent to KILL me. The Jedi are of one mind, Anakin, no, VADER, Lord Vader, they will stop at nothing to regain their position of influence in the Galaxy. They will kill you. They will kill me. They will happily kill Celeste before they kill you to see if they can break you back to their will, THEN they will kill you when they are done with you! That is what the Jedi have always done with their free thinkers. They send them out on the most dangerous of missions and when they die they 'mourn' their loss while the Council stays home, safe, in their little Council Chamber." Sidious has loud in the room now. With bluring speed Sidious came right into Anakin's face tapping his armored chest. "I have ever fought for you. I have nearly died just to see you free. Remember THAT when you mourn those . . . Vile Betrayors that you once served. They are still out there Lord Vader!" Sidious said pointing at the Jedi Temple. "Those that we missed. They will have learned. Our element of surprise is gone. They can attack us and kill us all at any time! They will kill Celeste. They will kill me. They WILL kill YOU. I HAVE FORSEEN IT!!! NOW TRUST ME!!!!" Sidious was spitting mad now. Something crashed outside and thunder seemed to split the heavens in two. Sidious digressed and limped back to his chair and eased himself into it. Celeste was passed out. Her sensitivity to Vader was so strong now that Vader's continual roiling had overwhelmed her as it was overwhelming Sidious. Sidious pinched the bridge of his nose with one hand while waving Vader off. "Go now. Your wife is in need of care. She's passed out from all of this. Here . . ." the Force sent and pushed into Anakin's flesh hand a crystal vial filled with a purple fluid. ". . . this will help her. It is an old elixer from Naboo, for women in her . . . condition. Now GO. You have worn me out worse than that Yoda of yours. We can speak further of this again if you CHOOSE to." Sidious said suddenly looking into his Apprentices eyes to sharpen his point.
