RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
A female human approached the medics. "Do you have everything under control here?"
"Yes, ma'am, we do," the one medic said.
The officer approached Laine because she observed the man who breathlessly joined the group and claimed they'd stolen his speeder. "Is that true?"
Laine drew the officer to the side, because she could tell that the officer was honest. "Yes, but let me explain. We're Jedi, and we were on a mission that very quickly went south. The man can have his speeder back; we only borrowed it to escape from the people pursuing us." Here she brought out a few credits and handed them to the man. "For the fuel we used. I'm sure if our superiors are contacted, they would be sure to continue with easing this situation." The man smiled, climbed into his speeder, and left.
She smiled. "Also, we can tell you that a crime ring is/was operating out of that hotel back there--one of their men caused that explosion. Perhaps the others can be caught, as well. All we need is to get to the docking bay so we can follow the lead we received before things went sour," she said with a tiny wave of her hand.
"Thank you for the information, Master Jedi," the officer said very quietly. "The three of you are cleared to leave the scene and go to the docking bay. Good luck on your mission." She climbed into her speeder and headed towards the scene.
The medics finished up with Dinn and Qatya, then jogged off down the street. Laine looked at her two companions and grinned. "Shall we?"

With a snort, Dinn calmly pushed the medic away.
"They're nothing new, don't worry about it." she replied, before turning to watch Laine with the cop. Qatya was in her periphery the whole time. But the medic insisted, and Dinn was soon cleaned up and 'released'. She wandered over to Laine, catching the last of the conversation.
"... Master Jedi," the officer said very quietly. "The three of you are cleared to leave the scene and go to the docking bay. Good luck on your mission."
"Shall we?"
The slicer-General returned the grin. "Love how you work, sister dear. Let's get going."

”You do have a bacta patch, yes?" Qatya tried to stay polite and keep the tartness under control, her eyebrow quipping quickly.
The diminutive Chadra Fan paled in horror and squeaked, "You need much more than a simple bacta patch! If you don't get proper treatment for that injury, you could end up crippled for life!" She waved her handheld medical scanner over the injury. "It's worse than I thought. Your kneecap is almost gone. It's a wonder your knee hasn't bent backwards, shattering what's left, although if you continue at this pace you'll surely end up lame for life." She gave her patient a stern glare as she spoke, meanwhile reaching into her medical pouch for a bacta patch.
"This patch is the first step," the medic spoke as she cleaned up the knee and applied the patch, "but you really need to immobilize this knee and get OFF your feet."
She heard one of the other ladies speak,
"Love how you work, sister dear. Let's get going."
The medic looked up at the other two ladies. "If she's with you two, I have to insist that she receive proper medical treatment. I can take her to the hospital in the speeder and in a few hours have her knee properly reconstructed and stabilized to permit further movement."
The human medic who had been working on Arifa came over, holding a leg splint, and offered it to his companion.
The Chadra Fan could see that the ladies didn't seem very inclined to go along with her idea. "At the very least, let me apply this splint."

Casya
Despite her efforts, she fell into the web anyway. All around her she could see it, paths, futures, and beings. Since she’d come here anyway, Casya figured she might as well wander around. The very first thread she followed however, led her to a very dark tunnel. Inside it, and now all around her, an unfamiliar voice – masculine, a little non-humanoid, and with a lisp – spoke very familiar words in a taunting voice. “
Bloodhand! Bloodhand! Bloodhand!
”
With more than a little relief, Casya felt something pull her away from the voice, from the tunnel, and from her dream. Out of reflex, she stiffened as she awoke, but relaxed again as she came to realize that the disturbance was little more than an intercom message. She missed what the message said, but got the computer to replay it, quietly so as to not awaken Tlo who was sleeping peacefully in the next chair, and listened. Inside, her gut twisted in something akin to embarrassment as she heard not only the words, but the emotion behind them. Her mind buzzed around in circles, trying to figure out what to do.
Finally she let out a sigh under her breath,
Of all the awkward situations I’ve gotten caught up in...
, flicked the intercom on, and said in a low voice, “
Tlo’s asleep right now and I get the impression she’s not going to wake up until we exit hyperspace. How bad do you need her?
”

OOC: Our Supreme Chancellor has asked me to step in and move things along here...I shall address one situation at a time, in hopes that the others will accelerate and intervention will not be necessary. Thank you. Carry On.
IC: Various players on Fampol...
*Led by the Lieutenant that Sorin Kain had sent, Lank Pavail, Fyar Escalos and Xanteth were taken to the duracrete platform where the Outcast Shuttle was scheduled to land. Colonel Sorin Kain was already there, a fleet of limospeeders lined up some distance behind him in anticipation of honored arrivals. The Fampoli Jedi turned and smiled in amusement as Lank and company joined him.*
Amazing how formalities always expand the amenities beyond all proportion to the need. Sometimes, I think they even send guards for the guards.
*A distant sound grew from a far off vibration to a louder and louder roar as two squadrons of fighters in precise formation around a somewhat battered Lambda shuttle came into view and grew in proportionate size with the sound. All came to a hovering stop above the duracrete, the sound changing from a roar to a breathy whine with the use of repulsors. Then as one, they sank gracefully to the ground, the shuttle becoming the focal point as the two squadrons formed an honor guard on each side. Canopies popped, pilots leaped to the ground to stand at attention beside their fighters.
Colonel Sorin Kain led his companions toward the shuttle and stopped a short distance away as the ramp came down and settled at their feet. The hatch opened and the Jedi Outcast contingent walked down the ramp, Captain Lucas McCallum and Admiral ShadowScout together followed by Chancellor Lissa Rosqu and Mistress Nenmqent with Yeoman Rojo two steps behind and to the left of the Chancellor. The Captain and the Admiral each stepped to opposite sides and Lissa came forward and bowed formally to Sorin Kain; he bowed in return. He had just opened his mouth to speak when his comm went off in a very demanding fashion. He had only lifted it from his pocket when a voice issued from it.*
Colonel Kain, this is Councillor Tyrk. High Shaman Pentro conveys his welcome to Supreme Chancellor Rosqu and requests that she and her company be brought to the Home Hall immediately. Thank you. Tyrk, out.
*Sorin dropped the comlink back into his pocket and rolled his eyes.*
As I was going to say, Chancellor, Welcome to Fampol! I hope we can help you and the Outcasts.
*Then he grinned and relaxed his military stance.*
Hi, Aunt Lissa. You sure have been through the grinder, from what Lank here tells me.
*He looked at Lank, his eyes conveying a cross between mischief and honest penitence.*
Sorry, sir. I had to maintain 'the attitude'....

*Lank smirked*
"It wouldn't be you if you didn't, Mr. Kain," said Lank.
"Chancellor," said Lank with a criss salute. He maintained his posture, but inside, he was relieved to see Lissa all right.
"Well, it's not quite the place I had originally intended, but this does have the added advantage of being off the beaten trail AND unexpected."

*Lissa laughed at the byplay between Lank and Sorin, and actually socked the Fampoli in the shoulder, pulling her punch just in time to prevent self inflicted injury as she 'felt' the prosthetic arm and shoulder of her 'nephew'. Instead, she brought her hand up in answer to Lank's salute. Her smile conveyed her tightly focused thought.*
>>You have no idea how much I want to hug you in sheer relief! <<
*She gathered herself and turned slightly, indicating her companions.*
Sorin, I know you remember Captain Mccallum and ShadowScout...and probably Yeoman Rojo, too, but I don't believe you've met Mistress Nenmqent. She is representing the civilians who have attached themselves to the Outcasts. They are the families aboard the
Ill Repute
and in the Marines and Security details...among other services.
*Suddenly, the distress showed on Lissa's face.*
We really got hit hard, Sorin. I really do need to ask for Sanctuary for all of us.

Fyar stood at attention, having just dropped a salute, the last remnants of sleepiness being driven away. He listened to the byplay between Admiral Pavail and the Colonel, and Lissa’s request for sanctuary. He used this time to think.
When I decided to join the Outcasts, I didn’t think my like would turn so upside-down, on the run from the most powerful nation in the galaxy, fighting trained commando-infiltrators in high-tech armor with a hell of a punch. And *Shudder* going through the most hostile set of black holes in this galaxy.

OOC: Well, got nothing better to do. Another post then.
IC:
Undisclosed location, Outer Rim
Vaya popped out of hyperspace near the asteroid field where her contact was supposed to meet her. She didn't like it here, but couldn't complain. The pirate nest offered her credits and she needed the cash. As the A-Wing approached the Asteroids, the pilot began to shift in her seat. "Damn, I need a stick." Her metal arm itched in her mind, an uncontrollable itch that she couldn't scratch because technically it wasn't there. She reached for her secret stach and sighed deeply; only one stick was left. She needed money and fast.
Getting to the pirate nest wasn't that big a deal. They were expecting her and let her past the defenses with nary a backtalk. She nimbly landed her fighter on the pad designated for her. Popping the canopy forward, she half jumped, half flipped out of the fighter; as she stood she swigged the death stick completely, tossing the glass tube away. The drugs swam through her body, calming her nerves and conversely heightening her senses. She never understood that. Death Sticks were supposed to make one euphoric - they also usually dimished the Force sensitivity, but not her. Maybe it was the drug's ability to make everything more vibrant that she got a feedback loop or something in her brain, but being able to see things like air currents while "high" enhanced her Jedi abilities.
Several of the pirate crew approached. "Hey little man. Word is you caused a ruckus at Coruscant."
"What's it to you, nerf for brains?"
"Whatever, we could have done that job. We should have done that job." He brandished a large hyrdospanner. "SO why don't you just give us the package."
Vaya smirked. "Yeah? You got the credits for it? 10% over the original offer, and I'll consider it."
"We were more thinking you give it to us or we beat you to death." The first guy took a swing at her with the hydrospanner, which stopped mid swing because she caught it in her left hand. The pirate was astonished. "How in the...?"
"Here's a piece of advice..." Vaya wrenched the hydrospanner from his hand then squeezed, her mechanical hand putting incredible pressure on the tool. Soon, she had visibly bent the makeshift weapon. Dropping the tool, she cracked her knuckles. "Know who you are dealing with before attacking them."
"That is enough!" a voice boomed from the end of the hangar. The pirates slunk off, scowling at the little pipsqueak. Vaya simply turned to the man, obviously the pirate leader. He apprached and stood about ten feet from her. "You're the Courier? I take it you were successful."
"Yeah, plugged in the datachip just like you said." She pulled the message container from her satchel. "You got the credits?"
He held a large case. "100,000 credits. My chip?"
Vaya laughed. Hard. "You must think I am a complete moron. 'Oh sure sir here's your chip', then you get sniper boy up in the rafters," she looked up. "Yeah I noticed you bonehead." She looked back down to continue speaking, "- to get me, or maybe one of your other stooges. Fat chance. Obviously you didn't hear how I do business." She pulled out a datapad and tossed it to him. "Your thumbprint on that pad, authorizing a direct transfer of funds into my account. Or kiss this precious chip of yours goodbye."
"Sorry to hear that Courier. You see, I will have that chip, and dead bodies are easy to search. Kill him."

Laine turned to the one medic, smiling. "You've been very helpful--and...'
She needs to stay with you...
"...and we would love for you to put on that splint. Once we're to my ship, she'll be off of that leg, I promise. I mean, we only have a few blocks left until the berth where my ship is."
And I mean it, too. Basically, bed rest, even if we're looking for Nimaj--as long as I feel no intentions to steal my ship. If this girl's possibly to be an Outcast, she has to be in fine fighting form...

Walking over he punched in an a wake up call then flicked the lights off, which seemed odd to him, darkness was used for hangovers and hunts why turn them off to sleep? Didn't she trust the others on the ship? or was she just wanting something covert, hmmm.
Heading back to the cot he lightly leaned over next to her cot, letting his tail reach up to caress her face...and to offer if she so chose, all she had to do was rub against the grain. "Sweet dreams if we truly seek sleep my love."

Well you will have you shot at it Chancellor. I was hoping to have time to prepare you but the Council is requesting to see you now. I am to escort you directly to the Chambers of Elders now.
*He nodded to his gaurds and as a unit almost a dozen soldiers surrounded them as they walked.*
All I have time for is to give you a quick run down on customs. First off when you step in and approach them you will bow to the head of our council. Second off, and this is the one thing that has made and broke many hopeful traders. Always, always keep eyecontact with them, if you break it they will think you are hiding something and will not trust you. Third, Speak only when spoken to, when asked a direct questions, etc etc. And as always...address them as the Council. To do any less is disrespect to them and it will get you thrown out.
*he ran a hand through his hair*
I cannot think of anything more at the moment other than that right now..and probably won't know until after, knowing my luck.
