RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
IC: Jasock
"No, I don't remember you. Mind telling me a little bit about yourself? I've been extremely busy as of late and until the Supreme Chancellor arrives, Commander Sunford has put me in charge of keeping you entertained." Times turned on his heel and lead Javelin towards the turbolift that would take them to the Mess Hall. The two security guards fell into a flanking position behind the two. "You have to excuse the security, we're fresh off of a space engagement and we're still on alert...in a way."
Jasock nodded.
“I understand the need for security.”
He waited until they were inside the turbolift and the doors had closed to speak again.
“I suppose it could be considered classified information, but it’s not secret, especially since it involves you, and I’m no longer part of Galactic Alliance Intelligence.”
He took a deep breath, not unlike preparation for a plunge into water.
“I was on this ship less than a week ago, as part of a special ops unit sent by Admiral Kre’fey to sabotage, gather intel, and otherwise wreak havoc on this ship and it’s crew. I had been lead to the impression that you and your people, Chancellor Rosqu in particular, were practitioners of the dark side of the force, and that you were responsible for the destruction of Silvantli and countless other atrocities. My squad was neutralized pretty quickly, and I was cornered in the armory, with my weapon pointed at the Chancellor and the explosives I had mounted in that room at my command. She convinced me to stand down, and she… Opened my eyes as to what was really going on, that I’ve been lied to.
We were let go, and returned to our base of operations. I immediately left, taking with me that shuttle and a few classified pieces of equipment and reported to GAI HQ, only to find that they were well aware of the situation, so I left.”
At this point, he realized that he had just monologued to a complete stranger the secret details of his life, and he stopped speaking.

RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
IC: Dinn Tsalisz
"Well, I guess we're all about the have the family reunion I never really wanted then." Dinn joked, running her fingers through her matted hair and feeling decidedly grotty. "If they're all together, I can at least feel better about not contacting them for so long..."
"Do you mind if I go check on our...passenger and then clean myself up a bit? Things are starting to ache already. It's almost like we're getting old or something." she sighed faux-dramatically, pushing herself up from the chair and leaving the cockpit. "I'll make us something to eat and bring it back for you." she added, before ducking out of the doorway and going to see Qatya.
She found the birdlike girl lying down, keeping her leg elevated. The bacta was doing some good, but the splint would need work.
"You doin' alright?" the slicer asked gruffly, moving to the small storage space beside the lounge and grabbing the medical kit she'd brought from the
Ill Repute
. It contained, amongst other things, decent painkillers, a bacta wrap and a blaster burn salve. "Mind if I fix that up a bit, now that you're prone? Gives us a chance to...talk. About how you know Nimaj and how you know us."
Tag: Laine, Allegra...Kleiny too
IC: Nia and Lyyra Tsalisz
Nia pryed her daughter from herself and ushered her back towards the triplets. The little girl instead ran to where Nimaj was and attached herself to his leg.
"Dallas...Is Torsy really as inexperienced as the guys are making him out to be?" she asked the only other adult female in the room, though it was in a quiet voice. She didn't really want to share this conversation with the men in the room. "I mean, he's a reporter and you all trust him but...the last person anyone wants to get into trouble is the one who is least likely to be able to get himself out of it. As much as the Jedi are...very helpful, I doubt they're going to be happy with us if they have to save his sorry arse in their own hallways. That Cyrus guy was pretty snappy."
She shook her head slightly. "I don't know what's going on in my head, but something just doesn't...feel
right
."

RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
Name: J9-85 (AteHive)
Gender: Drone/In flux based on colony stratification and social justifications.
Age: 63years
Species: Droid
Homeworld: Roche Asteroid Field
Affiliation: Droids/Self/Master(If applicable)
Personality
---Traits: Highly inquisitive, indirect information retrieval/communications, buzzing overtone to voice no matter language, incorporation of insectoid qualities into translations, and painstaking detail if asked to relate observations.
---Likes: Computer codes, being of service to the hive. Fire, and religious connotations that pertain to fire, the association and attraction came from a faulty program upgrade when adding software to accommodate the 8D8 smelter droids different motivators and readjusting safety perceptions to accommodate increased tolerance to heat/fire from the hips down. Insectoid races in general to better acceptance of his model and social structure, and a general distaste for most non-insectoid races due to their inability to accept an insectoid protocol unit designated as a worker drone and common lack of clear social structure.
---Dislikes: Mistreated or oppressed droids being tasked beneath their station, and those largely responsible for such misguided and abusive uses. Touchy or emotional organics, and those that look out for only themselves and not the betterment of the current society/hive they find themselves serving. Humans and similar species in general for an abundance of these traits in their races.
---Habits: Though admittedly loyal, still has hive/insectoid based core programming. With a preternatural attraction to fire and its effects, often uses fire as a basis for explaining his perception of organics, due to his view of most as a ravaging and often self-destructive organism. Has little or purposeful ignorance of electronic privacy, and will often when left alone hack through systems and personal files of those organics encountered and those referenced as important in their personal files. Which has led to several dismemberments and partially successful memory wipes before coming into the ownership of a master that improved programming and judgment in execution of searches, albeit for personal reasons. Lighting small fires to assess new acquaintances/masters for competence under duress and emotional competency. Will often connect to nearby computers via communications package to garner information and for company if current form is too slow, boring, or absent.
Appearance
---Strengths: Computer codes, Languages/cultures, pyrotechnics/fire in general, loose electronic property ethics, and defensive up-close fighting capabilities.
---Weakness': Overconfident in own judgments, preference for use of fire, and inability to attack/harm organic/machine directly without being immediately endangered itself or its master in some way.
---Skin Plating Color: Tarnished/grungy mustard yellow (To human based eyes, highly accentuated in colors to Verpine spectrum of vision)
---Photoreceptor Color: One-way Black Protective casing
---Other Attributes: Extensive knowledge of computer, ship, languages, and droids.
---Other Details: Has integrated components, legs/hips and motivators where replaced with a Roche's 8D8 smelter droids. Has an incorporated small internal smuggling compartment, and has an attached backpack (Think B1 model for size and outward appearance) for extended comm capabilities and storage usage, and a multipurpose information socket inside the palm of each manipulator.
---Weapons: Not that kind of droid, beyond a basic C-22 flame pistol usually kept in the backpack.
Biography
---Personal History: To long and twisted to bore the common un-imprisoned audience
Amended is the Readers Regurgitation version.
Being the 85th off the production line has its perks, most of the earlier bugs from prototypes have been worked out of the programming and parts, and just enough deeper quirks remain to yet be uncovered in the programming of personality. After an inability to be sold due to large misunderstandings about the droids role, misconceiving the label 'worker drone' as an inventory and loading unit instead of a protocol unit designation, by other sentient species and particularly the large market represented by mammillian species due to the insectoid appearance and misunderstanding of the Verpine designation of Worker Drone. Causing it and its line to become known as a flawed and failed experiment into protocol droids by the Roche hives.
It spent a couple years of work programming other droids within one of the Roche asteroid hives gaining an increased working knowledge of many other forms of droids, 85 was later acquired in lot with a hundred other operational members by an up and coming underground criminal smuggling and information based organization, which eventually became known as the Smugglers Alliance years later after Karde took control of the organization after Cardaz disappeared. After a short term in service and change of leadership 85 was relocated along with thirty other J9 units to a large cargo ship to be transported to an undisclosed location for 'mixing' as a favor for a hidden informant of the organization in the CSA. Prior to which the droids were fitted for computer espionage, hacking, and reckon capabilities to better create, hopefully, additional informants or employees. During the mission it was one of the few left active aboard ship to help in the running of the ship and caretaking/spying on the 'delegation' they were transporting to an embargoed CSA controlled planet. Due to the droids hip motivators destruction caused by a mechanical repair accident of the ship during the mission 85 was unable to make the journey to be mixed with the crystalline sentience that was ‘borne’. The captain of the vessel kept 85 onboard ship afterwards and replaced his failed locomotion capabilities with that of an 8D8 unit, and continued with fiddling with upgrades ever since. It is after the initial upgrade with the 8D8 propulsion unit and software update that the droids ‘fascination’ with fire began.
After the captain retired for personal reasons, he took the droid with him in relocating to a Trianii Rangers space station where he and his wife raised the lost or orphans, largely those of none Trainii race that the Rangers had taken in after helping reclaim a colony world, where the unit operated largely as controller of estate and caretaker to the family. After many years, upgrades, and experiments later whilst operating in the droid rare environment of the Trianii, with their attitude to droids as children or near equals, his quirks accentuated into his current personality and outlook at treatment of droids by organics in the galaxy, views he hopes to someday share. Due to the highly spiritual undertone of the Trianii, which infuses every facet of their society, his views and eccentric use of fire took on a more religious and fact finding overtone, becoming more of a tool and use of discovery then merely a fascination. These views and uses of what he has learned before being reintroduced to the galaxy at large have greatly reshaped his personality and understanding of what a relationship between a droid and its owner or others should be, as well as whether one should be allowed to own a droid or deserves to be its master. Which perhaps in a way is its greatest weakness as it will judge a person solely on their stance and treatment of droids, and not considering other factors to outweigh it in importance, nor will its mind be easily changed that an individual should be perceived otherwise or that they can change.
Another 1.378 second passed planetary time. It was a strange world, made only stranger by the fact that he knew more about or at least as much as any sentient in the galaxy could rightly propose, even the previous owners. Perhaps that was what made him yearn to leave so much, the previous owners were most unkind to his kind and even his creators, but that wasn’t it. No use lying to yourself when no-one’s around to listen and be deceived by them. Yes that was it, that was what truly bothered his circuits, he was alone standing out here near this clearing waiting for what seemed an interminable time awaiting what would be its new lot in life. Even if it was the lot he chose it didn’t make waiting any easier. The two remaining seconds were up, time to broadcast the landing beacon again for two pulses. With any luck, he wouldn’t have to remain for too many more silics, alone and without a hive.
Reaching out he connected the machine with the beacon and watched as the data scrolled through from one memory bank to the others processor, in what many would call a blink of an eye, a euphemism that he often heard and understood fully intellectually but when one cannot blink the core of the expression is a mystery. And a rather uninteresting one at that, but still apt considering. It was only the command execution code and signal strength and intensity yield which was very little, and in the end the device standing next to him was nothing but a basic computer with a giant transmitter attached to attract a single unidentified ship to land here someday when it entered within the radiance of two planetary rings distance.
That was the true rub, someday, sometime in the future. Waiting in and of itself isn’t a problem so long as one knows it will end and when, but when the future goes on like a dark tunnel with no light, no reflection or glimmer of an end to the present task. Yes, that is when the mind closes in on itself, and even the simplest, repetitive task seems the most arduous and time consuming of things to impart on an individual. Not to mention there are only so many games one can play by oneself, and while burning clear a landing site was fun to pass the time it didn’t last long enough even with the prolonging nature of creating a single individual controlled burn process that wouldn’t endanger the neighboring areas.

"Well, I guess we're all about the have the family reunion I never really wanted then." Dinn joked, running her fingers through her matted hair and feeling decidedly grotty. "If they're all together, I can at least feel better about not contacting them for so long..."
"Ditto to that last statement," Laine replied. "Although, I told them we were on the run, so they weren't to expect letters or whatnot from me." She sighed.
"Food sounds good," Laine said. "And then I should get cleaned up, too, I suppose."

"Dallas...Is Torsy really as inexperienced as the guys are making him out to be?" she asked the only other adult female in the room, though it was in a quiet voice. She shook her head slightly. "I don't know what's going on in my head, but something just doesn't...feel right."
"No, I don't think he's as inexperienced as the guys think he is," Dallas said. "Sloan is in the midst of overcoming his prejudice of reporters from the other side--Tor's taken it quite well, actually. There's something I've noticed about smugglers--they like to swagger and boast and whatnot--but they do not like thinking that someone looks down on them. And Sloan has been a smuggler of sorts for a very long time--and Torsy, well, he's a reporter. That's an occupation not too kindly looked upon in the smuggling business."
She paused, then smiled. "Torsy's an investigative reporter. You know, the kind that gets himself into scrapes but comes up with a story anyway. I did some checking on him--and his earliest story is from when he was fourteen. He was known for the stories he went after on Hythrope IV. There was enough seedy stuff going on the 'civilized side' that he never had to come to the other side or leave the planet. Perhaps we were wrong in our estimation of Morgan's intentions. Perhaps he
was
an Outcast, if only briefly."
She closed her eyes when she felt
something
in the Force. Dallas could see the green ribbon in the Force that was Laine to her. She re-opened her eyes. "I think my sister's headed to Ossus." She glanced at Nimaj. "Of course, the Outcasts don't abandon their own."

"What you ask brings risk to my people, Lissa Rosqu. However, we have heard tales of your deeds-*Pentro briefly looked at Sorin Kain, then back to Lissa* -and have had time to review some of the reports coming out about the cowardly attack on you. We do not wish to draw attention, but we cannot ignore a plea for help from such people who have acted as your Outcasts have. Therefore, we shall grant you and your people sanctuary. Colonel Kain and other staff shall be assigned to work out the full accommodations. For now, go forth and inform your people."

Roxez held up his hands. "Okay, okay, you guys don't want to tell me, whatever. Just curious, that's all. Don't throw a wrench in the engine just yet, okay?
He sat back down. "Just that there's been rumors, alright? They say that some freelancers got a bit too much for the all and mighty GA and so they had them wiped out. Least that's the rumor, you'll never get a straight answer around here. Then again, GA pilots do get rather boastful," wincing slightly then laughing, "especially when their drunk and think the janitor spent too much time gawking at the fighters."
"The Chief said any of them, what did he call them?" Roxez pondered. "Outcasts, yeah, any of them Outcasts came through the port, we were to turn them in. Not that I would, though. These guys are heroes, the real thing, y'know? Standing up for us little guys and fighting the good fight. Besides, I don't work for him no more, so I don't have to follow his rules! I dunno..." Roxez scuffed his boot against the ground. "I was hoping you guys might know of them, where to find them. If the rumors are true, I bet whoever's left is in need of new people, and, well..." with a slight laugh, "I don't exactly have much left tying me here, you know?"

RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
*Lissa didn't notice a whole heck of a lot on the short journey to the row of billets where Lank and his team already had rooms. Sorin showed Scout to one and Lissa to another before he excused himself for other duties. Lissa walked into the room, hoping Lank would follow even if just for a moment or two. She found herself seated on the cot before she knew it, both hands pressing down on the mattress to test its comfort...not that it mattered.*
I think I could sleep on a rock at this point.
*She crossed one foot over her ankle and tugged at the boot.*
I'm...not...*tug*...sure, but...*tug* I think my...FOOT and this boot...*tug* have grown...toGETHER!
*With the last word, the boot came off and Lissa fell over backwards.*

*Lank caught the boot as it flew toward him*
"This is what you get for overworking, Lis," he chided her. *He took hold of her other boot.*
"Now, relax your foot, and this should come off nice and easy."
