RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
IC: Jasock
As the lightsaber blade came down on him, Jasock had to wonder if the pirates had somehow found a Dark-Jedi-for-Hire, but immediately reconsidered that opinion as he stopped the blade just short of Jasock’s neck, then spoke.
"So, you must have come from that piece of junk. Take it you got my message. Next time, I'll hope for more... GET DOWN!"
Jasock was pushed down, then peeked around the corner of the crate to fire a few more rounds, then came back.
"you don't sense like a merc... too stiff. You're a damn GA aren't you!"
Jasock became a little defensive at this.
"Oh... former GA. Whatever, though your friends...",
At this point, Jasock realized their was something… odd about this… person, he couldn’t tell if it was a he, she, or for all he knew something else entirely. He/She/It dressed and looked like a man, but their was something feminine about… It.
"One military man, stiffer than even you are, and one... idiot. Of all the stereotypes I have to deal with, a doofus smuggler. Whatever... your ship got the ability to haul me and my ship out?"
Though he completely agreed with it’s opinion of Palso, he had to say something that would make He/Her/It angry, and angering a person with a lightsaber, albeit a short one, was not an especially good idea. He shook his head.
“Without Commander Times’s orders we’re not doing anything but holding this position, speaking of which…”
His breath caught as he beheld The Commander, standing, but with a pool of blood at his feet.

*Severeal minutes later, a bearded man in shabby clothes with a large blaster and lightsabre strapped to his belt exited the door the pair had left*
"Reffins, right? Kyle Katarn," he said, extending a hand to shake*

IC as Torsy
Reffins, right? Kyle Katarn," he said, extending a hand to shake*
Torsy took the man's hand and shook it. "Yes, Torrence Reffins. Friends call me Torsy," he said. "I overheard the two apprentices talking about a possible sighting of the Outcasts near Ryloth. I was wondering if there was truth to that statement, and if there was some place we could talk about it."
He took a deep breath--Katarn seemed like a fair and honest man. "Don't misunderstand me; I'm here in the Temple only because Kre'frey's men drove Laine's family and I from home because they threatened her niece and nephews."
Torsy waited, worried that the Jedi wouldn't believe him--or, worse, thought he was a spy. He toyed with the thought of mentioning that Morgan fellow to the man, but figured that could wait until later.

"Relax Torsy," adivsed the older man. "I know who you are. We checked your records when you arrived. Been doing that for all people who are associates of the Outcasts just to make sure we're not letting in a spy or saboteur. The people you came in with did attract a little extra attention, given their past, but nothing serious. Would be surprised if they hadn't noticed.
*Kyle motioned Torsy to follow him. A few moments later, they were in a quiet room with cushions for meditation*
"While those two could use another lesson in keeping their big mouths shut when out in public areas, yes, as far as we'e ben able to gather, the fighters and the cruiser spotted at Ryloth were Outcasts. The sector military base sent scout ships out, but couldn't locate them, or the Interdictor and Lancer that were in the area. We recovered the body of one fo the pilots shot down, but he appears to be a former solider who was domobilized a few months back. Probably pilot for hire."
"As for the Outcasts, we still aren't sure exactly where they are. Our best guess is they're either looking for or found a place to lay low, get resupplied, and try to find intel on where Kre'fey is and go after him."
*Kyle looked the man squarely in the eyes* "We want Kre'fey badly, too. And we're going to find him. He can't keep running forever, not with as many people looking for him as there are."

She was very suspicious of this ‘AteHive’ droid of Juerr’s. At the same time however, she’d had encounters with really nasty droids before and knew how to take care of it if a problem came up.
Speaking of problems, that cougar they had heard sounded a little dangerous. She unsheathed her vibro-dagger, just in case they encountered it or anything else that felt like trying her skills.
When Tlo mentioned food, Casya realized that she was feeling a little hungry, even though she had eaten a little while in hyperspace. “
Okay.
” As they headed back to the ship, she kept a close eye on their surroundings and an inconspicuous eye on the droid following them.

As the simple message declaring Juerr was here flashed on the screen both quickly raced to the hatch of the ship to await his arrival. After a few moments their semblance of patience quickly began to falter and soon faded all together as they both looked at each other with knowing gazes, held out two hands and proceeded to chop them through the air counting. “One, two, three…Rock beats hydrospaner, and blaster beats flimsie.”
“Oh no, its flimsie beats rock and hydrospaner beats blaster!”
“Sore looser. Best four out of six?”
“Stop yakking and start shaking we ain’t got all day. One, two, three!”
ELSEWHERE
Walking through the jungle was a relaxing past time normally, and although he longed to pass through it in the trees to get a better feel for the place before walking on the ground like this Nikki made it all worthwhile to face the danger of such a trip in this manner. And he was concerned about her she seemed so uptight and scarred now, everytime he thought of something to say he strugged it off. It was always too dumb or off in someway that didn't seem appropriate, so he just walked with her closely and hoped that whatever was bothering her would pass in time.
Perhaps in the end she made it too comfortable and concerned, he strangely wondered as he was suddenly he was yanked off the ground by his tail causing a loud growl to escape unbidden into the jungle before he was summarily dropped back next to Nikki. Whipping around and drawing his blaster he admonished himself for having been so careless to have not noticed the individuals force aura before that second, and it was indeed an individual hidden in a billowy cloak that was over two meters tall with long sleeves that hung nearly to the ground. Motioning to Nikki he smiled broadly slapping the figure on the back with his long tail, “Nikki this is one of my parents, Father this is Nikki the special someone I mentioned in my letter.”
“Glad to see you both so well.” Deeply intoned the tall imposing figure, “And a pleasure to meet you Nikki.” He added as his intense unseen stare bored into her for a brief second before his sleeve rose above the ground extending a huge pasty white hand with dirty nails the size of small plates.

"Outcasts? Do you mean the 'Jedi Outcasts'? As in the mercenary group that was bombed out of existence on Coruscant?"
Let's see how she responds to this little untruth.
At the edge of his attention he noticed Torsy leave the commons area in the company of Master Kyle Katarn. As much as he'd have liked to follow along, he felt he was needed here to make sure this probable bounty hunter wasn't going to be a problem.

Rhianon's face visibly fell. "They're completely gone? I thought surely..." She shook her head as if to clear her suddenly disappointed thoughts.
"I'm afraid I've been a little out of touch with the galaxy. I've only heard snippets about them, but I found them fascinating. I didn't realize they were completely destroyed."
Rhianon's eyes drifted off.

Hanger Bay, Enemy Ship
"Oh, what a good day for a blaster fight!" Jim said with blee as he delivered a right hook to the face if a Rodian pirate. "In your case, a fist fight!"
When one ran out of ammo, choaking, punching, kicking, and yelling became very suitable alternatives (sp?) to a blaster pistol. Palso then went in to choke the man, but the Rodian started choking him!
"Not fair!" Jim choked, then was spit in the face by the pirate. "Now you have pissed me off!" Jim managed while being choked and head-butted the man and as he stumbled backwards, Jim yelled in a high pitched charging yell (
OOC:
Like the Confedate Yell during the American Civil War) and jumped on the man, his legs flaining in the air the last thing seen as he disappeared behind a crate, pounding the Rodian and the Rodian giving him a fight for his money.
Although a few punches and rolling on the ground later, Palso came out the victor, getting up and and putting his foot on the alien's chest and putting his hands on his own hips, declared in a loud voice, "I AM THE CHAMPION! I AM THE CHAMPION!"
When another blaster bolt snaering past his head, Jim snapped around to see the firer, a human. Jim yelled out-loud, "Why you little---get back here!!!!!" There was only one person who had the guts to chase after someone who held a blaster...Jim Palso.
Jim must ahve scared the pirate by his bravedo act of charging him with-out a blaster or any find of weapon, for the two shots he got off were random and wide off their mark as he backed up. Jim all but jumped over the crate he was behind and mid-way in air contacted with the man in a forcful tackle, taking him to the ground and scattering his blaster pistol far from his grip.

RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
IC: Peter Times
Hanger Bay, Enemy Ship
Peter had to give his prisoner some credit. The man had flown into the thick of the pirates and had managed to stay alive. He saw his priosner in charge and locked eyes briefly with the man before taking down a few more pirates. As he advanced tacticfully and the wound noth even bothering him, Times turned to look at Palso, who taken down a fair number of pirates---his shots seeming to be very accurate, considering he was a smuggler---and watched as the man charged a pirate with-out a blaster pistol. Peter had to give the smuggler and former memory lost Jedi Outcasts credit for having guts, if not brains at the current moment.
Taking up coverage behind a starfighter that was down due to mechanical reasons, Times assessed his situtation with Emily.
How bad is it?
Times thought.
"Bad. Although you will live. I have slowed the bleeding into your lung and was able to repair some tissue, but let me be honest, we have advanced far enough into my program to allow full recovery."
How much time I said?
"Five minutes. Then your dead."
Can you uplink with the ship's computer?
"Yes. It will take a few moments. I am not a slicer."
Just do it. Overload the reactor, force the crew to abonded ship. It shoulder scatter the pirate fleet. Then cool the reactor and we have a free ship.
"As you wish. Four minutes left Peter until death. I will do
anything
it takes to preserve your life...and mine."
Peter advanced from his position, noting he last two pirates in this part of the hnager bay quickly being overwhelemd by the two secuirty guards left over by covering fire; Peter watched as the two pirates died in a hail of red blaster fire.
Advanced, Times was quickly encountered by two pirates flanking around to reniforce this position in the hanger...a odd tactic move for pirates. They normally didn't employ military tactics, but they were here in this hanger bay, holding ground and regrouping by thje A-Wing when ground was lost. Times could only think it was the soldier who had fired at him earlier who had taught them. But who was the soldier? ETL Agent again? No, the imagining profile didn't match. It could only be one type of soldier and although not as deadly as a ETL Agent, their mere pressence in this galaxy sent a cold shiver up Times' spine.
As he encountered the two pirates, Times quickly ducked the butt of one rifle, while the other pirate, being suprised, fired off a useless blaster bolt. Times dropped his blaster rifle as he ducked and spun around to the pirate's back, quickly snapping his neck and dropping the body to the floor. Peter quickly advanced on the other soldier, kicking the rifle out of his hands, then bringing his leg back again and letting it out with a kick to the chest, sending the pirate into a tool bench and where the covering blaster fire from the two secuirty guards overhwelmed his body in a brilliant show of red light. As his smoking---and now blaster holed---body dropped to the floor, Times picked up his rifle and made it to his prisoner and the one he assumed was why they were here.

The people you came in with did attract a little extra attention, given their past, but nothing serious. Would be surprised if they hadn't noticed.
"Oh, I'm sure they noticed it, probably expected it," Torsy said as he followed Master Katarn into a room he assumed was probably used for meditation.
And we're going to find him. He can't keep running forever, not with as many people looking for him as there are."
Hmm. This man is someone I can trust. Here goes...
Torsy gave a short nod. "About an hour ago, a man named Cyrus Morgan came to the apartment where Laine's family and I have been staying. He was trying to also find out the whereabouts of the Outcasts, and claimed to be part of the GAI--and claimed to be a former Outcast. Unfortunately, we decided that we couldn't trust him fully, though he seemed trustworthy--and I agreed to meet him in the common area, where I overheard the two apprentices. Morgan had this appealing idea of using my job as a reporter to spread ideas of where the Outcasts may be--for what reason, I didn't get far enough to ask--but perhaps that could be used to entrap Kre'frey and his men."
He waited for the Jedi's answer.
Whether that idea's ethical or not, I don't know. And at this point, I'm not even sure if I care about the difference.
TAG: Lank (as Katarn)
OOC: Moving us along. Sorry, Allegra. I'm tired of the slowness. There's always retro-posting.
IC as Laine Snowtrekker
Laine had just finished slurping down her reconstituted noodles and broth when the 'approaching destination' alert went off. She glanced at Dinn and Qatya. "Here goes," she said.
She made her way to the bridge and slid into her captain's chair. Laine knew that coming out of hyperspace was the easy part of this--it would be getting clearance to land at the Jedi Temple that would be the tricky part.
You'll be fine. Don't worry.
Easier thought than done,
Laine thought as she eased the ship out of hyperspace.
"Unidentified ship, Ossus control. You have entered Ossus space. State your name and business."
Laine clicked on the comm. "Control, this is the
Nevaah Efase
. I have business at the Jedi Temple--may I have clearance to land?"
She held her breath--because, even though she was sure that they all knew that Kre'frey was the villain and not them, this still felt like going to the enemy's stronghold. And, in some ways, it was.
"Clearance granted,
Efase
. Land at the Jedi landing bays. Welcome to Ossus."
Laine sighed in relief and began the landing procedure.
Meanwhile...
Two comm calls were being made.
A young officer slipped off to the side corridor and pulled out his commlink. "Sir, we think an Outcast ship has come to Ossus...
The Jedi on-duty in the control center went to a secure room and commed Master Katarn, since he was the leader of the investigation. "Sir, a ship by the name of
Nevaah Efase
is landing at the Temple--a registration check shows it to be the ship of one Laine Snowtrekker. Just FYI, since you wanted to know if any Outcast came to Ossus."

"Don't get up or move until the medics get here, got it?" Dinn ordered Qatya, forgetting for a moment that the girl wasn't one of her Preventers.
Minutes later, Dinn was sitting in the copilot's chair, watching the scanners and feeling a warm pressure building in her chest.
'Anxiety'
her innervoice sighed.
'If he's here...'
"Oh, he's here." Dinn muttered to herself, wishing she'd had time to clean herself up. She was burnt, sweaty, dusty and dressed in a rather lowcut tunic.
The
Nevaah Efase
eased down to the landing pad under Laine's skilled and loving instruction. Dinn, not having much to do, reached out tentatively to those she knew were here...to her sister, who wouldn't feel it or respond, to her neice, who was too untrained to understand and to Nimaj, who she wasn't even sure would answer.
Meanwhile...
"Aunty Di-Di's here!" Lyyra yelled suddenly, dropping her little ewok toy on the ground in excitement. She jigged from one foot to the other. "Mum! Muuuuuuum! Aunty's here! Let's go meeeeet heeeeerrrrr!"
Nia blinked once, a strange prickly feeling coming over her, like deja vu. "What? Bug, what are you talking about? Your aunt is probably lightyears away, being very busy. She wouldn't be stupid enough to come here where she could be easily captured."
Lyyra gave her mother a familiar cheeky grin. "Aunty always said, hide'n'seek in planeside!"
"Planeside?" Nia repeated, trying to translate her daughter's garbled language.

"That eager to stick your neck out?" asked Kyle with a slight grin. "As for Morgan, I'm afraid I don't know about him. If he's on the level, would be good to hook up with him. the legit GAI is madder than a Hutt who lost a bet over what Kre'fey did, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's working for them-" *Kyle's comm chirped, and the news made his eyebrows rise*
"I didn't figure they'd try this," he said to himself. "Have the ship escorted in, tight security on this. No body but Jedi meets the ship, nobody but Jedi near it. I'll be there shortly." *he turned back to Torsy* "Well, we might have more intel than we'd hoped. Let's go collect Jedi Neb and go meet them." *Kyle led the man back out into the public area.*

RE: New Jedi Outcasts RP...V. 2.0
IC as Laine Snowtrekker
Laine set the ship down and glanced out of the viewport, noticing that there had been security escorts for the ship. She idly wondered if it was to protect them or prevent them. Laine stood and stretched, closed her eyes and focused on the Force. Her family was here, all right--along with the fuzzy presence of a certain reporter.
Interesting.
She looked at Dinn. "I feel very uneasy. Do you?" she asked as she noticed a security detail headed towards their particular landing space. "Are they coming to escort us or arrest us?" But she also noticed that they had stalled, and looked like they were waiting for something.
Meanwhile...
Alre wanted to hug Lyyra--because, she was as happy at sensing Aunt Laine as Lyyra was at sensing her aunt. She tugged on Dallas' pant leg. "Mommy, Aunt Laine's here--she's real sad, too!"
Dallas smiled. "Yes, your aunt is here," she said. She glanced at Nia. "Dinn, too."
"Stupid kid," Sloan said.
"Hey! I thought that's my job title!" Jamin protested.
IC as Torsy
"That eager to stick your neck out?" asked Kyle with a slight grin. "As for Morgan, I'm afraid I don't know about him. If he's on the level, would be good to hook up with him. the legit GAI is madder than a Hutt who lost a bet over what Kre'fey did, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's working for them-" *Kyle's comm chirped, and the news made his eyebrows rise* "I didn't figure they'd try this," he said to himself.
The contents of the call startled Torsy. Why would she come to Ossus? Wouldn't they be laying low? Then he realized that she was probably looking for Knight Neb. He followed Master Katarn back into the public area. "As regards to sticking my neck out, it's not that I'm eager. It's that my neck is already out there, and I figure I should be as much of a nuisance to them as they've been to me. No one should threaten four-year-olds," he said quietly. "Plus, I've got the skills to do it."
They were in the common area now, ready to collect Knight Neb and join the security detail.
