Sorry for the numerous delays; the original post was a lot better, but seeing as Word lost it, I give you the update:
Bothawui Orbit
A deep humming began in the depths of the ship; and a bright blue light appeared, illuminating the bridge. The ship began to vibrate further; as more lights appeared; highlighting a naked, grey, human corpse. At least, what was once human. The corpse had been… changed. Hundreds of tubes protruded from the table, looping through huge metal pylons before entering the body. The pylons began to spark, and bright blue liquid filled the tubes. The lights brightened once more; and with a jolt, the corpse’s eyes opened; the chest heaving as its lungs struggled to pull oxygen in. Blood began to flow back into the corpse, and the grey began to be gradually replaced with a pale white. Amongst this chaos, Luke Skywalker awoke; in a world of pain.

This is how it feels to be Luke Skywalker
With a jolt, your eyes spring open. You see a bright light, a light so bright it burns. You blink, but the light is still there. You clench your eyes shut, and open them once more. The light remains.
You turn your head a fraction, and see the table. The tubes connected to the table. And the tubes connected to you. Your eyes fill with terror as you realize where you are.
Your lungs fill with air as your breathing intensifies, and you try to will it to stop. Your nerves are raw with pain, and you scream out. Every breath sends flashes of pain to your body, rivers of molten lava flowing into the basin that is your brain. You try to move, and the pain intensifies, making you let loose an involuntary, gut-wrenching scream; yet only a rasp can be heard.
As you blink once more; your brain puts together what happened. And who you are. The pain the memories bring back is far worse than that that plagued you before. You feel a hand on your shoulder, a light touch, and immediately reach for it. You can see the hand, but you cannot touch it.
The closer you reach; the further away the hand goes; before disappearing altogether. You feel the hand go. And your body convulses as you realise you have lost the only ally you once had. Your connection to the force is gone.

Two Ssi-Ruuk stand by, watching the body. A priest and a technician. The Priest smiles, revealing its teeth, and walks over to the table, letting out a whistle. [Stop the body convulsing] He said. [Administer the drugs]

You hear a heavy thudding noise, and turning your head a fraction, you see a gold scaled lizard towering above you. It whistles something; and your eyes widen a fraction as you realise what the lizard has said; or more to the point; that you understand what the lizard has said; even this slight movement, this slight recognition, sends pain through your body. Suppressing the pain; you hear another whistle; and concentrate on it.
You are in pain. I can make that stop. Just follow the hand. You try to retort; but the pain is too much. You hear a familiar voice; and turn your head a fraction more, revealing a familiar figure; bathed in blue. Do what they say, Luke. It is the only way. Ben! You try to say, but the voice you hear is not yours. The voice is deeper, and mechanical. You try to scream again, but no sound can be heard.
The elusive hand appears again, and a door materializes in front of you. You step through the door; and place your hand into the other. Almost at once you feel the pain disappear. But it begins to return; you see it in front of you; billions of red dots. You reach out to them, and as the hand squeezes yours, you crush the pain, bringing it towards you. The red dots begin to disappear, and you smile.

The Priest turned to the Technician, and whistled, before looking out of the viewport. [He is nearly ready] You say. [How much power is stored up?] The technician turned to look at the capacitor, and sees the tubes, once filled with blue, rapidly begin to fill with a deep red. The Technician bared its fangs in a smile. [Capacitors are at 45%] He said. [Excellent] The Priest replied. [You may fire when ready]. The Technician smiled, and pushed forward on a lever. The Priest turned to Skywalker, and whistled. [You are in pain. I can make that stop. Just follow the hand].

A blue beam of light shot out from the ship, heading for Bothawui; it hit the surface in an instant, and began to spread. On the surface, Lowbacca and Jaina watched, with a smile. They felt the beam come towards them, welcomed it, letting the energy flow through their bodies; and excelling it, spreading the energy to encompass others.
The light spread out across the planet, forming an intricate web, connecting every sentient being. The light surrounded them, a continuous blue hue, before suddenly changing from a bright blue, to a dark red, and, after less than a quarter of a minute, disappearing all together.

The priest watched as the web of light turned from blue to red, before disappearing all together. [Well?] He asked, and the technician smiled. [Look for yourself.] The Technician said, baring his teeth in a grin, and nodding towards the body on the table. It was rapidly convulsing, and was pulsating with blue light. The Technician smiled once more. [It appears to be working.]
He was right. The liquid in the pipes surrounding the body turned a dark red, and began to flow out of the body. The Priest and Technician watched the red liquid flow in silence, until the pulsating light stopped, and the tubes emptied. [How many?] The Priest asked. The Technician bared his fangs. [Three Billion] The Priest returned the smile. [Excellent] He whistled. [We are done here. Turn it off]. The technician nodded, and pulled the lever back.
The pylon behind the body crackled as it powered down, and the lights illuminating the table shut off. The bodies pale skin began to turn grey once more, and the chest stopped moving.

You crush the dots, eliminating them one at a time, two at a time, three at a time. You reach the stage where you are crushing hundreds, thousands, millions at once. As the final dots fade, you reach for the hand. But it isn’t there. You see it in front of you, and reach out for it. But you cannot grab it. Once more it eludes you. You reach out once more, but you are further away this time. You feel yourself slip back and you are once again in a world of bright lights and pain. You feel your body convulsing, sending a constant stream of pain back to your brain. You scream. Again no sound can be heard.
It is in the pain you realise that pain is all you have. It is you constant companion and ally. This is your last thought as your vision greys, your chest stops heaving, and the world once again turns dark.

The body of a Jedi Master, the Jedi Master, lies on a stone table, on an alien ship. Except it is no longer a body. It is a conduit. A facility to store the energy of millions of souls at once; be killed and revived in an instant, and live submerged in constant, terrible pain.
This is how it is to be Luke Skywalker, Forever.

Far below the mysterious ship, the sun dawns on the Southern Hemisphere of Bothawui. It illuminates a world that is littered with corpses. A dead world.
The Ssi-Ruuk had done the unthinkable. They had created a machine that could entech billions at once, in under a minute. Across the galaxy the repercussions of what had happened at Bothawui are felt. A shockwave in the force.
A Sith Lord doubles over, clutching at a table in support. A bodyguard falls to the floor. A Captain is knocked out cold. A Supreme Commander collapses, and tears flow down his cheeks.
Amongst the chaos; a single fighter breaches Bothawui orbit...

IC: Oct
Oct listened to Draeks instructions, and began to plot a course on the navi-computer. He was halfway through the calculation, when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. A glint. The fighter began to rise off the ground. “Draeks!” Oct shouted. “What the hel- Never mind. We need to get out of here. Now!” He cried, and listened to the roar of the engines, as the ship shot skywards. The blue light reached out for the ship, and Oct watched in fear, as the two raced.
There was no contest. The light surrounded the ship, and Oct felt as if a hundred Gamorreans were crushing his brain. The pain was intense. Flames began to lick the fighter as it broke out of the atmosphere, and an alarm wailed as Oct cried out in pain, then relief, as the light, and the pain, disappeared within an instant.
“What in the hell was that!” Oct cried out, “Draeks are you Ok?” He asked, activating his emergency beacon, which sent out a pre-recorded, Red-Zero message. He then turned to face Bothawui; watching in horror as the blue beam spread across Bothawui, surrounding the planet, and cried out in shock as the beam turned red, before rapidly disappearing. The beam headed for a huge ship in the middle of the Ssi-Ruuk fleet.
The Ssi-Ruuk fleet. Oct swore as he realised where they were, recalled the emergency beacon, and the alarm he had earlier heard, and looked down at the vid-screen. “Draeks!” He said. “We’re in deep poodoo. We’ve lost the hyperdrive, and sublights are at 5%.” He sighed. “Can things get worse?” He asked rhetorically, and slumped over in his seat. A crackle made him jump up, and he swore violently as a human voice was heard over the comm.
“This is the Ssi-Ruuvi ship Wrath of Ssi to the Unknown Fighter leaving Bothawui Orbit, broadcasting Red-Zero transmission. Shut down your weapons and engines at once. We have you in a tractor beam. Do not attempt to escape. Or you will be fired upon. Repeat.”
Oct swore. “I just had to ask.” He said, and turned to Draeks. “What now?” He said, as a second voice began to crackle out of the speakers.
“This is Jorj Car’das, responding to Red Zero, to whom am I speaking?.” The voice said, before adding “This is a secure channel, in compliance with BC regulation 4597.”

“Well that could be interesting…” Moss mused to himself as he pulled out his datacard and stood up from the terminal. “I’m finished here; do you know when this big meeting is? Will I need to leave soon?”
“I think it will be wit-“ Malana began, then fell to floor, clutching at her chest. “No.” She said. She turned to the Bothan Admiral, her face pale; and began to cry uncontrollably. “No.” She repeated, pulling her comm. link off her belt. “Tell me that wasn’-“ She began, and the Shadow’s voice could be heard instantly on the other end of the comm. link, the confidence gone, shaken to the core. “It was.”

“Actually I was interested in finding a tranquil place to medit-“ Jacen doubled over, and clutched at a chair for support. He said one word, and repeated it over and over. “No. No, No, No.” Turning to face the Bothan President, the blood drained from his already pale face, he spoke. “I’m sorry. I’m so, so, sorry.”

“So Joseph, you had some concerns about my choice of word before, specifically the word ‘sacrifice’. You said that to make a sacrifice they’d have to of known what would happen. I disagree, as soon as they realised what was happening they had to make a choice. They could do nothing and hope that help might arrive, exposing more of their comrades to the virus. Or they could get the virus as far away from their friends and their loved ones as possible. ‘Sacrifice’ any chance of help getting to them so they could warn us and get the danger away from us. ‘Sacrifice’ may not have been the absolute best choice, but it was the most appropriate one I could think of.”
Joseph was contemplating what the Captain had said, and was about to reply, when Jakys fell to the ground, knocked out cold. “Captain!” He cried out. “Captain!” He ran out of the Captain’s cabin, and onto the bridge. “Doc! The Captain has collapsed!”
Within a moment, Martha Teneque was in the Captain’s cabin. She slapped him hard around the face, and began to thump on the Captain’s chest. “Wake up!” She cried. “Damn it Jakys! Don’t do this.” She leant down to whisper in Jakys’ ear, and spoke 3 simple words. “I love you.” She leant back, and burst into a smile as she watched Jakys’ eyes spring open.

“It is not as simple as it sounds, but man-” Grissom began, then suddenly stopped, and collapsed in a heap on the floor. He managed to pull himself over to the wall, and leaning his back upon it for support, he pulled himself up. Holding his head in his hands, with a river of tears flowing down his cheeks, he turned to Joao. “I’m sorry.”

The captain was trying to figure out why they hadn't moved on Nar Shadaa yet, I guess that answers that question. But there's billions of people on that moon! We have to do something!"
“I don’t know where we are, but we’re not in Nar Shadaa orbit anymore.” Car’das said, as the vibration intensified, then stopped. He turned to Argyle, the final blood remaining in his cheeks draining away. “They fired the weapon.” He said, and then heard a mumbling noise coming from his cot. He ran over, and grabbed his commlink, listening to a series of long and short beeps.
He anticipated Argyle’s next question. “This is a Red-Zero, repeat Red-Zero code. We are in urgent need of assistance. This message is being sent on a open frequency. Please reply on the appropriate channel.” Car’das said. “The message repeats after that.” He frowned. “The proper channels. That code was Bothan, so the proper channel would be...” He grabbed the comm. and dialled in a new code. “This is Jorj Car’das, responding to Red Zero to whom am I speaking?” He said, before adding, as an afterthought, “This is a secure channel, in compliance with BC regulation 4597.”

Fel strode down the ramp to the shuttle bay, with a squad of stormtroopers in tow. He refused to let them take point. He watched as the two shuttles approached, one with the markings of the Anaxes Coalition, the other with the markings of the Bothan Coalition. His comm. link beeped as he received a message from the bridge.
“Sir, you’ll want to see this.” Fel frowned. “Can it wait?” The voice came back instantly. “It may be best to, Sir. One of the visitors is a Bothan, yes?” Fel frowned again. “Yes, why.” The voice cracked slightly. “Be-He should see it for himself.”
Fel stroked his bead in deep thought, as he watched the delegates disembark. He frowned once more as he moved over to greet the delegations from both ships. “Welcome aboard the Empire of the Hand ship Indauntable. Please follow me to the bridge. We have some disturbing news.”

OOC: So, the endgame has begun. Good thing my fleet is almost finished. Just need fighters and support ships. to be honest when i read hrough the whole thing before starting i was surprised no one went to war back when there were around half a dozen players. oh well.

For now Argyle waited, wonder if the weapon had destroyed bothawiu or if it was some other weapon. He leaned in close, wanting to here anything that might be said in reply.

Oct swore. “I just had to ask.” He said, and turned to Draeks. “What now?” He said, as a second voice began to crackle out of the speakers.
“This is Jorj Car’das, responding to Red Zero, to whom am I speaking?.” The voice said, before adding “This is a secure channel, in compliance with BC regulation 4597.”
“Ok Oct, what happens now is you remain very calm and quiet and keep working on that hyperdrive while I chat to Mr Car’das.”
He switched over the secure channel and took a deep breath, “this is ex Vice-President Draeks Ral’ek of the Bothan Coalition. How is it you come to be on this channel, seeming independent of the Ssi-Ruuvi fleet about to swat my little ship from the sky?”

En route to Kothlis
Jakys watched Joseph open his mouth to reply, then his vision went red and the reply became a scream. Then another voice joined, and another, another, another. Until there were thousands, then millions… Billions of terrified voices, all screaming, begging to be released from their torture.
Then there was silence, for a handful of heartbeats there was nothing but total silence, and Jakys dared think that might be the end of it. But then it came again, just like in the vision where he saw the ship. Death…
And just when he thought it might swallow him too there was a blinding light, filling his being with happiness and delight.
I love you.
His back was getting cold from the metal deck, his arm was starting to ache from the way it twisted under him and his chest felt like someone had been hammering on it with a prybar. But his eyes felt good. As his vision adjusted to the bright lights on his ceiling Jakys drank in the sight before him even while his ears rang with sweet, sweet music. I love you.
Jakys pushed himself up onto his elbows and winked at Martha, “Mister Joseph, would you please give me a moment, I apologise for the way our conversation seems to keep getting put off. Return to your station and I will come see you there shortly.”
As the door slid shut behind the young officer Jakys turned to Martha, “Well now my dear doctor, if I heard you right a moment ago then we have some talking to do.”

As Grissom collapsed to the floor Joao quickly keyed her comm to the general emergence frequency, “This is the captain, I need a medic at the security access way immediately.” She crouched down beside the Sith Admiral and helped him to lean up against the wall, “Are you ok?” she asked as she noticed the tears rolling down his face.
“I’m sorry,” was all he said.
“Sorry for what? Don’t go all emotional on me now Grissom, talk to me.”

“That’s a very long story, and definitely one for another day. But I have an authorization code to confirm my friendly intentions. Foxtrot-Oscar-Ichor-58-Niner-44. Now listen carefully. I need to know the status of the ship. Myself, and my conpadre here are both prisoners aboard the ship you know as Wrath of Ssi. If you can get onboard this ship, then we can meet with you, and can utilize my escape route.”
Car’das cut off the comm., waiting for a response, and looked at the slack jawed expression on Argyle’s face. “What?” he asked.

Oct nodded at the Vice President’s orders, and seethed. He had seen his best friend murdered, and then seen something he could not even understand, and the Vice President was treating him like a baby. Typical. He sighed, and began to work on the hyperdrive, listen half-heartedly to the conversation between Draeks and the man who called himself Car’das.

“It was? It was what?” Moss called towards the commlink. He bent down to help Malana back to her feet, and Malana grasped his hand, pulling herself up. She stood against the wall, shaken to the core, and let Moss take the commlink from her weakened grip.
“What’s going on Jami… Shado… Bob! What the hell just happened?”
The Shadow’s voice came back over the commlink, still shaky. “I… I don’t know how to say this. I am sorry. It seems that the Ssi-Ruuk have utilized a superweapon. One capable of enteching billions of souls at once. They have used it on… against…. Bothawui. I’m so sorry.” The Shadow said, his last remark inaudible over the clatter of the commlink against the floor, as it slipped out of Moss’ hand.

“What?” Besk asked, the reaction of the Sith Lord scaring him, “What are you sorry for? What just happened to you? Do you need a medic?”
Jacen stood up, and looked at the Bothan President in exile. A single tear leaked from his sulfuric iris, and rolled unchecked down his pale cheek. “The Ssi-Ruuk have utilized a super weapon in Bothawui orbit.“ The Dark Lord of the Sith spoke 3 simple words, 3 simple words that would change the Bothan people’s way of life forever. “Bothawui is dead.”

“Mister Joseph, would you please give me a moment, I apologise for the way our conversation seems to keep getting put off. Return to your station and I will come see you there shortly.”
Martha watched the ensign leave the room, and turned to face Jakys.
“Well now my dear doctor, if I heard you right a moment ago then we have some talking to do.”
Martha took a step back, embarrassed. “I don’t know what you mea…” She began, but stopped. “Jakys, you intrigue me. Ever since I first laid eyes upon you, I had an attraction – but it was not until recently I realized the extent of that attraction. I am a doctor, and an intelligent one at that. I understand quantum phsyics, I can understand and cure nearly any virus, disease or injury we encounter, and yet I cannot understand love. All I know is that I love you. With all my heart.” Martha gulped before breathing again. “Now. We can discuss that later.” She said. “First things first, sit down and take a deep breath. Your still weak, and whatever you just experienced definitely did not help. What happened?”

“Of course Baron Fel,” The Bothan spoke, soon followed by the Captain of the AC vessel. "May I ask the nature of the news?"
Fel frowned. “Of course.” He said. “As soon as we reach the bridge.” The rest of the walk to the bridge passed in silence, with Fel pointing out the occasional modification to the ship which he thought may pique the visitors curiosity. Within 10 minutes the party reached the bridge, and were confronted with a view of hundreds of blue skinned, red eyed, humanoids working at the bridge.
“If I can direct your attention to this holoimage. It was captured from a probe droid in Bothawui orbit less than 2 hours ago.” Fel pressed down on the play button, and watched the image of the planets death. He turned to face his visitors. “That showed what we believe to be a Ssi-Ruuk super weapon enteching millions of people at once. I’m not quite sure how to say this, but Bothawui is devoid of life. For all intents and purposes, it is a dead world.

“Alright then, your code checks out and it doesn’t look like we’ve got much choice but to land. Our main drives are at 5% and the Hyperdrive is currently non-functional. You do realise of course, that once we get pulled into the hanger there’ll be nothing to stop the damned scalies from tearing us apart right?”
While he waited for Car’das to reply Draeks shut down the sublights before they overheated from straining against the tractor beam.
“Oct, if this Car’das character doesn’t come through, it’s been an honour serving with you.”

“They have used it on… against… Bothawui…”
The weight of the Shadow’s words fell heavily around Moss’s shoulders. His knees buckled and he groped aimlessly for the wall, he leaned against it and let gravity tug him down to the floor. As he sat there, slumped opposite Malana, he kept waiting to feel something. A great sadness perhaps, or despair. But all he could feel was pure, cold fury. The kind that would burn for a long time. The kind that demanded Revenge.
Filled with new resolve Moss picked up the commlink, “prepare my shuttle.” Was all he said to the Shadow before closing the connection and switching over to his flagship’s frequency.
“This is Admiral Yab’ia. Prepare the fleet for hyperspace, set our co-ordinates for Kothlis. We will leave as soon as I return.” He shut off the comm and pushed himself to his feet. Resolve and fury gave his walk a frightening purpose as Moss made his way down to the hanger bay.
