	"There is no light side, or dark side. The Force is One. To walk the Grey Line, I must have balance at my core. Wisdom is my Guide." Such is the code of the Templars of the Twilight, the name of the order that many have come to call the "Grey Jedi" by some, although they are not close to Jedi, other than the similarity within the names of their ranks. The Twilight Templars believe that the force is one, and that there is no light or dark side, and that the act of the Jedi and Sith seperating the force into sides has caused it to become unbalanced and fragile. The Force is like a great river, and by seperating it into sides, the Jedi and Sith have turned it into two small streams. This is the official dueling thread of the Templars of Twilight, the main thread of which may be found here: http://boards.theforce.net/eu_community/b10194/19696265/p1/?3071 All sorts of dueling may be held here, be it with a lightsaber, melee weapons, blasters, or a battle of wits. Anyone may duel anyone, provided that both parties are a Templar of Twilight, or one aspiring to be so. This roleplaying game is restricted to Templars of Twilight, although you may play in this game if given permission by the GM (MarcusDade). Various tournaments and duels shall be held here, so you are required to start your post with IC and end it with TAG. Character Sheet Also, in order to play, you must post a modified character sheet. This is not as in depth as a story character sheet would be, but it is used to get an idea of who and what your character is. Name: (your character's name, not your username) Gender: Age: Species: Homeworld: Rank: Specialization: (Weaponry, Force Attack, Force Defense, etc) Weapons: (max of 2) Armor: Lightsaber Forms Known: Force Powers Mastered: (These are not all of the powers you know, just the ones you have gained mastery in.) Short Bio: (let me repeat: SHORT) In terms of Specialization, and Armor, it depends on your rank. Genin may not choose a specialization. Rank of Silver Knight and Below may only choose one specialization, Grey Masters may choose two specializations, Silver Masters may choose three. The Grandmaster at the time, knows 4 specialization, and if you have been a Grandmaster in the past, you may choose 4 specializations as well. Just becuase you aren't grandmaster anymore doesn't mean you would lose your knowledge. Armor: Genin may only have simple durasteel armor. Silver and Grey knights may have armor with one lightsaber or blaster resistant material.(not blaster AND lightsaber resistant. Pick one.) Grey Masters may have one lightsaber AND blaster resistant material, or one lightsaber resistant material and one blaster resistant material. Silver Masters and the Grandmaster may have one lightsaber resistant material, one blaster resistant, and one other special metal that does another thing. Or you can have one material that does all three. Force Powers Mastered: Genin may not have any force powers mastered. Grey Knights may have two force powers mastered, Silver Knights may have four. Grey Masters may have 8, Silver Masters may have 10. The Grandmaster knows all force powers, but only has mastery in 12 of them. Lightsaber Forms: Genin may only have Shii Cho. Grey Knights may have any one form of their choosing. Silver Knights may have two forms. Grey masters may have three. Silver Masters and the Grandmaster may have four. you shall post your character sheet at the beginning of each game, or each duel you enter into. Let the Dueling Begin! Sidenote: Take it for granted that this thread takes place in 10 ABY, not long after the end of the Galactic Republic. My Character Sheet Name: Dade Leviathan (born Marcus Dade) Gender: Male Age: 910 Species: Human/Icarii hybrid Homeworld: Alderaan Rank: Grandmaster (also known as "The Kage." Specialization: The Force, Lightsaber Dueling, Melee Weapons, Hand to Hand combat Weapons: Lightsaber: Ornate metal hilt, holding many ornate carvings. Silver Blade Armor: Armor in the fashion of ancient Jedi armor. It is made of Akorec Scales (blaster resistant), and Mandalorian Iron, with a Phrik weave. Lightsaber Forms Known: Makashi, Djem So, Juyo. Dade also utilizes an extremel unorthodox form of which there is no name. During his time of wandering the galaxy, he encountered a holocron by the Dark Lord Revan, in which he learned a lightsaber form, where the lightsaber was wielding in one hand, and one would attack with the lightsaber in one hand, and attack with a force power with the other hand simultaneously. Force Powers Mastered: Force Lightning, Force Crush, Force Choke, Force Heal, Midichlorian Manipulation, Morichro, Force Drain, Force Speed, Force Repulse, Force Deflection, Force Absorb, Battle Precognition Short Bio: Dade was born on Alderaan in 900 BBY, and was taken to become a Jedi when he was only 2 years old. He became one of the youngest Jedi knights in history, being knighted at only the age of 16. At the age of 20, he defied the Jedi, by falling in love and Marrying a fellow Jedi by the name of Skye Raven, a beautiful brown haired woman who was 2 years younger than him and had only just become a Jedi Knight. At 26, he discovered an ancient holocron and learned the art of Midichlorian manipulation which he used on himself and Skye, making them seemingly immortal. However, they are not immortal, it is just a fact that the power makes it so they don't age. However, they grow older at an extremely slow rate, so while it will take a long time, Dade will eventually succumb to old age. Skye was killed in 500 BBY, and since then Dade has refused to take on another Lover. He became a sith lord for a time, but eventually returned, as he had never fallen to the dark side, he had chosen it because the lightside left him empty. However, he eventually figured out that there was no light and dark side, and that there needed to be rebalance in the force, as well as in himself. And thus, he followed Leor Hal when the Potentium Jedi was created. However, having different beliefs than them, he went on to found a new Order, the Templars of Twilight. 	IC: Dade Leviathan Grandmaster Dade Leviathan entered the dueling arena, his silver and blue robes flowing behind him gently in the slight breeze that his swift movements made. "I trust you are ready for your trial, Genin?" he asked matter-of-factly towards Li Sal as he walked fowards. Turning towards the new Genin he nodded gently. "I see you have found your way to the dueling chambers, young one," he commented on the boy, "Perhaps here you will be able to find a master who is willing to train you in the ways of the Twilight Order." Turning back to Li Sal, he gently took off his robe and laid it on a bench at the side. "This trial shall consist of three things, Genin," he said, unclipping his lightsaber and laying it on top of his robes. "First, we shall conduct a test in which you exibit proof that you are adept in the force powers required of a Templar. Second, we shall conduct a test of physical conditioning, and thirdly, we shall spar. You shall pass the sparring match, not if you win, but if you perform to the standards that the Templars have set for a Grey knight. As you are a late arrival to our order, and have practiced the force before, trust that I shall go harder on you than other Genins because I expect that your physical fitness should be above average for a Grey knight. 	I definately can say a game like this was started the other day and got locked. It was a trainign academy thread, this seems like a mix of that and the lightsaber combat thread. And gredy jedi, pretty sure Greyjedi125 won't be pleased. 	This is the RP thread for a fan club if you have a problem then I suggest you take it up with the mods. As for whether or not some user is displeased...That matters not.. The Templars of Twilight are the fan club for grey jedi yet I see him not on our roster. 	IC: Dade Leviathan Dade nodded. "Your first lesson from me, Genin, is this. The Jedi and Sith use the force as if it was a crutch. Take it away from them and they are as useful as a blind corellian who has been chewing spice all night. You must remember that the force is a tool that we have been blessed with. If you rely on it as if it is your life, then even an average bounty hunter will be better equiped than you, in a certain sense." He then used the force to pick up his lightsaber which ignited and hovered in mid-air in front of him. "The Jedi and Sith delude their own minds with a fantastical lie of how there is a light and dark side to the force. They do this to excuse their actions, and as such all is right in the world. The Jedi, from a certain point of view, are just as evil if not more evil than the sith, but they may excuse their actions because they use the light side, and of course that would make murdering the youngest of female children all right, if it was the will of force, of course." The sarcasm in his voice was evident as he spoke. "The Jedi have torn families apart, exiled order members because of love and torn the force from others simply out of childish fear. It is the imbalance in the force that gives them this warped perception of heroism that distorts not only their own minds, but the minds of others as well. It is not so hard to figure out why many worlds despise the Jedi as much as the Sith? The Sith at least accept themselves for what they are, and do not try to excuse their actions by blaming it on the force. But both are guilty of the inbalance. They have taken a great river and torn it apart into smaller streams, and the force has suffered for it. Is it no wonder that the Sith Lords and Jedi Masters of the past were far more powerful than we could ever hope to become? I, in all of my power, would have been like a child playing with a toy compared with Tulak Hord, or Revan. They, in turn, would be considered children compared to the ancient Jedi that lived far before them. This is because the mentality of the Jedi and sith have not only inbalanced themselves, but the force as well, making it much less potent. We, as Templars, or Grey Jedi - whatever your ideal name for us is, try to make the force whole again, not by destroying both Jedi and Sith, but by trying to let them see the errors in their ways. The belief of the Jedi and Sith will not change depending on what "side" of the force they use. The Sith could use the "light side" and still be just as evil as they are now. There are no good or evil powers, Genin, only good and evil intentions. Just like night is part of the day, so is evil part of everyone, no matter how good or evil they percieve themselves to be." He smirked gently, and it was obvious that despite his cool demeanor, he held a grudge against either the Jedi or Sith. It would be easy for a thought to occur to someone to ask him about it eventually. "And now, we begin your trial." He floated the lightsaber over to Li Sal and let it float with the force. "The basics of the Force are your biggest ally and asset. Remeber, that no matter how powerful a Jedi or Sith is in Force Lightning, or Electric Judgement, a push from the force will still knock them over and disable their physical balance, thus making it easier for you to put them on the defensive. Keep someone continually on the defensive, and the fight is lost, however. For aggresive actions are far more taxing than blocking. All your opponents needs to do is wait for you to tire, and then you will be as easy to kill as a blind bantha calf." "And thus, our first test begins. I shall push the lightsaber at you, you shall push it back. Each time, we shall push faster and harder. We do not stop until someone loses control, or I am convinced of your prowess. No need to worry, however, it is set on stun and the most injury you shall get is a slight electrical burn."
