OOC: Thx
IC: Andre Hagan
Andre narrowly dodged the blow towards his back and was wary of strike from his foes gauntletted arm and as it came towards him he dodged with blinding swiftness that was force speed. He then came up and sliced upwards with one lightsaber the other one parrying aside another blow.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
((sorry been a tad busy with new house stuff damned back fence had to be rebuilt anyways))
Li'el raced to one end of the hanger, she slew vong warriors almost like cannon fodder, she notice one vong inparticual obseesively trying to get to her. Li'el's attention was drawn to a blurr of motion that cut across her vision, she reflexivly ducked in mid stride sliding her between two Vong warriors, one titned teal the other sage. The tealed colored one stepped up first he leap and braught his blade down at Li'el she threw up her "caliburn" blade and deflected the deathblow, Li'el backpeddled giving the vong ground as he slashed and whipped his weapon at her, he lefted slash, chop, and punchure marks all over the floor and near by wall. Li'el back leaped onto a supple crate and leaped again as he follow slashing the crate in two. he lost his footing when Li'el kicked the crate remains out from under him, she whipped Caliburn up into the air stabbing him in the weak join in his armor. The other vong the Sage tinted one had used the death of his partner as an opening with his enemy jeedai wieghed down by his partner's dead corpse she had left herself open.
HE stoved his boot hard into her back sending her sprawled across the hanger floor, The vong followed with a downward slash into his partner's dead body, she Li'el had use as a sheild, and quickly regained her former posture. some where along the battle both fighters lost their main weapons but continued fighting.
Li'el had advantage over her vong opponate in speed and flexability, but he was bigger and wore living armor, blow after blow, kick and kick, block and counter after block and counter, the fight took a slight turn as Li'el kicked to the vong's head, he grabbed her foot and flung her into the ground level control room's transparent window, taking out the window and part of the surounding weak Stresscrete. Li'el laid in the rubble of what was a window/wall for a moment before rolling over and caughing up some blood.
She slowly rose and called her lightsaber to her and leaped from the rumble as the vong came to investigate, she hammered away at his armored arms and chest in a near crazy fashion. When he swung his rediscovered Knife-like weapon at her head she blocked it with her left arm, blood ran down her tipless gloved hand and jabbed her blade into his neck, melting it away.
"Koss!" she ducked behind a crate as bugs blared over her head, she began to try to treat her injuries.
"Liel, do you have any disruptors here that can take care of these bugs?" Kajid asked. "Anything that could deal with these bugs internal workings would be pretty useful, I doubt or sabers are going to be too useful. These vong make some pretty nasty toys, thesooner we get rid of them the better." he added twirling around and knocking several bugs away with a piece of sheet metal from the floor.
she looked up at Kajid as she finished tying her improvised bandage, and reached for her comm devise, she need to contact the combat droid in her ship.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
IC: S'uun Esh
It missed, her strike actually missed! Not one to be usually stunned by astonishment, S'uun Esh was quick to keep her mind focussed and on the task. The amphistaff of a fallen warrior lay barely a meter away, she did not hesitate in calling it to her with a rather perculiar noise that sounded more like a hiss than a whistle, and one swift motion of her spike-bracered hand. The deadly weapon slithered fluidly towards her with as much haste as it would have displayed when striking down it's unfortunate victims, making to coil up her arm, but she held it firm. With another sharp twist of the subaltern's wrist it snapped to a rigid staff, resting against the back of her forearm as she stared down her prey, looking for an opening in his defenses.
Across the way the female Jeedai had succeeded in slaying the warriors persuing her, while their deaths were honourable ones, it meant that S'uun Esh no longer had the luxury of time on her side, she would need to disapatch this
Jeedai
quickly in order to regain the one that was in the process of escaping her.
Her gaze snapped back to the fore, narrowing to thin slits of obsidian night as she circled Andre slowly, closing the gap- with which she would need to strike- a little bit at a time. When she found her prospective mark, she twirled the amphistaff in a blurred flurry of movement before lunging at him, the vicious spine-littered tail whipping out in an attempt to prevoke the
Jeedai
into doing something. If he was moving, she could perhaps predict his strategies a little easier than when he stood still - a picture of controlled power and calm. And if memory and rumour served her correct, these infidels blasphemous powers would have little effect on her if used directly, that at least spoke in her favour.
Without warning, the subaltern continued to follow up each strike with another, and then another until both she and her prey were a flurry of fluid movements themselves, as were those around them engaged in similar melee combat. She alternated between using the amphistaff's whip-like qualities to release their weapons from a bind and attempt to wrench the
Jeedai's
blasphemous
light-weapon
from his hands, and arcing slices with the rigid blade-side of the biot.
Out the corner of her eye, S'uun Esh was certain that she saw the female
Jeedai
conversing with another, pulling out a communications abomination at the same time. That either meant they were calling more Jeedai to the battle, or attempting to aid the escape of others - and she certainly did not preffer the latter, these pitiful cowardly creatures, for all their warrior-like traits, venerated life, valued it as someone would a spectacular new implant or scar. It truly was pathetic.
What she needed was to stop toying with her prey as though this were some elaborate dance and dispatch him quickly.
"Grishna br'rok ukal-hai hrrl ! " S'uun Esh raised her voice as well as she could above the noise ripping through the large enclosed area.
A group of warriors, who had been adding to the constant stream of flying projectiles, turned and snapped their fists to opposite shoulders in salute and acknowledgement of the order, then proceeded to tear towards Li'el and her counterpart, Kajid, amphistaff's hissing in anticipation of the next strike. It was very likely that S'uun Esh had just sent these warriors to their deaths, but again she too knew that she would gladly have thrown herself into the heat of the battle in such a manner, had she been ordered to do so by her superiors. A warriors life was the gods' - and it was they and they alone who decided when it was best taken from them.
The subaltern growled in both annoyance and approval, her full attention now fixated on Andre.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
IC: Andre
The vong warrior Andre faced succeeded in calling an amphistaff to her and as she picked it up the fight started to renew. At first the two circled each other, then they began a rapid series of clashes before she ordered some warriors to go after Li'el. As it would appear this on was definately in some form of command. As the fight was about to start again Andre slipped into the almost trancelike state that was battlemind. As he did so it seemed his eyes flashed for a moment before fading. He grinned at his opponet before giving a slight nod and launched into a complicated series of attacks that relied on his natural agility and speed rather than brute force, it indeed appeared to become a dance, with neither of the two truly winning, rather Andre blocked or dodged the blows that came his way with skill and finesee and returned the blows in return to be fluidly parried by the amphistaff. Andre had chosen to, for the moment, to refrain from using his force abilities other than that of battlemind. The dance continued.

"Well, this is a bit cowardly, but..." Kajid started, he then used a force mindtrick to hotwire some of the bugs, he then sent them straight at S'uun Esh. "Let's see how they deal with their own weapons." he added as they sped, unerring, at the Vong warrior.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
OOC: Sorry
Chanbill
, it's not possible to effect/manipulate the Yuuzhan Vong or any of their creatures in the force, much less mind trick them
But it is possible to manipulate the native air and elements around said biots, so Kajid could have manipulated the air to push them back mayhap, if he'd spent a bit of time over creating a large amount of air preassure.
I've altered my post to state the latter, feel free to ignore it if you wanted to do something else instead.
IC: S'uun Esh
For every attack there was a parry and this was true of both sides of the argument, S'uun Esh had found it increasingly frustrating -as must have the Jeedai - and fought with renewed vigor, twisting and turning in uncompremising strikes attempting to break Andre's well placed guard. In turn he too seemed to be taking on more unpredictable, yet well skilled, slashes at the subaltern, but that only served as confirmation to what she had considered all along - he was worthy.
When the Jeedai's next stroke fell, she parried harder this time, attempting to drive him back towards one of the hangers corners, from there he would have little advantage that she could see, anything he flung at her he would be flinging at himself that way.
Harder and harder she clashed blades with the arrogant Jeedai, stepping forward to push him back further still each time she found an opening for attack, yet still none of her strokes hit him well enough to incapacitate him. Their moves were all of a blur until S'uun Esh seemed to slow or tire for a moment - this of course was what the Jeedai would see as a feint, he was about to get more than he bargained for, tenfold. With a sharp twist of her wrist, that made it appear that she might actually snap the elasticity of tendons that lay beneath the skin, the subaltern caused the amphistaff to return to it's flacid state, but something was different this time, instead of keeping the hissing venomous head at her wrist, it reversed it's self, barbed tail now at her wrist's edge.
WIthout warning or premable, the amphistaff coiled up like a crystal-snake, deadly venom bubbling upon it's fangs, then spat it's venom towards the Jeedai's face, following that up with a strike that would incapacitate it's foe and nigh on end their life there and then if it hit it's mark.
Such a shame it had to be like this, S'uun Esh thought to herself in the seconds before the amphistaff struck, that he would be killed like the less worthy of infidels. It was an honour, of course, that she would be the one to do it, but she highly doubted that the Jeedai would understand that fact, much less appreciate it as a Yuuzhan Vong of lesser station would have.
Caught up in the heat of the battle as she was, she suddenly became aware of a familiar and extremely loud buzzing. Familiar mainly because there wasn't a Yuuzhan Vong warrior alive that did not know what a razor or thud bug sounded like in flight. The sound had littered the area before now, but never in such a loud concentration as it did now, it was almost like...
Swarm! - S'uun Esh's gaze snapped round in time to see dozens of the little vicious biots blown off course by what appeared to be a heavy gust of wind. The trees and foliage beyond the hangers gaping entrance were as stock still as they had been when the Yorik-trema had landed them here, this was Jeedai sorcery. The subaltern did not have time to duck for cover, much less parry all of the bugs away in time, she had her hands full with Andre, and to do so would have been to hide like a crecheling at their first experience with the embrace of pain.
Several of the bugs actually came to rest upon her, sensing her as one that was not the enemy, or one that was their master. A few others, those she had not added to the fray herself perhaps, caught her, skidding and riquochetting off of her armour like icy hail stones off transparasteel. The subaltern did not so much as flinch when a razor bug whizzed past her ear, slicing into the tip as it reangled it's wings in an attempt to return to the one that had thrown it. A thin ribbon of jet-black blood began to well up from and trickle down from the wound it had inflicted, causing S'uun Esh to issue a sinister growl in response seconds before five or six nang-hul hit her before they could stop propelling themselves.
The impact of the hits was enough that with each blast the subaltern stumbled back, if it had not been for the vonduun crab's resilliance to such things, the fourth and fifth blasts would have stunned her. As it was, it had caused her to lose her balance and she was forced to -irksomely and embarrassingly enough - steady herself with one outstretched hand against the wall she had intended to drive the Jeedai - Andre- into.
When she regained her footing, she could already see a new group of warriors heading towards Kajid and Li'el.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
OOC: By the way the from of sense he uses in this post is more of a danger sense then sensing the vong themselves, aka he is sensing the impending attacks.
IC: Andre Hagan
As the amphistaff reformed his eyes were blasted with the weapons poison, blinding him in an agony of pain. He would have died then and there had it not been for a tingle he felt in the force. He brought his blades down and parried the blow just in time. As he recovered he reached out towards the tear like liquid on his eyes and manipulating it he managed to get rid of most of the venom but his vision was still very much blurry. It seemed his foe was recovering from a problem of her own, which Andre sensed had been caused by his fellow jedi. He looked over in what he sensed was their general direction and shook his head before turning to face the by now recovering vong. He moved his blades into a new guard patern, the right one in a reverse grip, its blade arcing up behind him in a diagnonal line. The second was in a standard grip and was along his chest. He gave noticable time for his foe to rise before he renewed the fight, launching into a complicated series of manuevers that once again signaled the restart of the dance. With his eyes still bluury he relied on the force, warning him of impending peril. Amphistaff and lightsabers clashed again and again, every clash new and distinct, flowing in its own pattern that when put together in the whole created the dance, which flowed from blow to counter, and counter to parry. As the flow continued he brought one of his blades in a swift stroke down low, near her legs before striking at the torso with the other.

(ok her move i wasnt sure how exactly to explain it hopefuly ull get it.)
Lie'l refused to go down like this hiting behind a crate, she commed her droid to to hack the hanger door controls and close the massive doors, she grabbed both hilts and held them in a reverse hold and placed her pink boot on the crate and leapped high into the air, she landed and rolled slice 3 pairs of feet off at the ankle joint. she rolled up and raced down the hanger slicing and decapitation warriors with moderate resistance, but the flow of her actions remained a steady pace of death. her master was a true BAttlemaster and taught her many moves and abilities, most were simple but powerful fightng styles while some where complex mixtures of several force powers. She use the "Force body" technique to channel much of her remaining force power into her right fist, and pick up a small rock, She spotted the Current leader of the vong forces and raced towards the beefy 7 foot tall monster, she saw her coming and swung out at her. Li'el used her small body form to get inside the Commander's personal space. She blocked his staff with her lightsabers and leaped up from his bent leg slammed her right fist into the bottom of his jaw. She focused her force and part of her life force into the rock and used Combustion move to have to it explode into the commander's jaw, she landed and used force REpulse to creator the ground under her and the commander resalting in a sonic boom like effect in the now enclosed hanger, it ripped up a good chunk of the floor.
The Vong's 2nd in command of the ground forces saw this and how much of a pounding his troops were taking and called for a regroup outside the Temple shamfuly, he was lost many more troops as parts of the roof began to fall. as the vong start to fall back outside the temple, they were greeted by more of their ships coming in to land.
Li'el found herself laying on her back on the torn up floor, her body ached like never before, it craved sleep, she was fighting to stay awake and failed passing out from exhaustion, her body was racked with cuts and bruises and produaly a broken bone or two. she barely heard some one aproach her over the ring in her bloody ears....

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
OOC:
Sorry this took so long, connection problems at my new house - still ironing out the bugs in this unholy abomination
IC:
S’uun Esh
Recovery from the onslaught of various airborne biots was a swift one, but the subaltern had to be quick on her feet to avoid the next attack. Dual bladed as the
Jeedai
, Andre, was, S’uun Esh had twice as much to think about. She watched carefully as the
Jeedai
swept one blade low and mirrored such an action shortly after the other with a higher sweep of a blade toward her torso. While this had a potentially lethal side to it, he’d also forgotten about one simple factor in all of this – his defence.
A warrior’s defence was not a cowardly attribute, but rather a tool to be used as well as the best of tsaisi or coufee’s. The right defence kept you alive long enough to deliver the right attack, and in which case it was well founded and acted upon.
S’uun Esh felt the searing heat of the blade as it sliced through the air past her ankles as she leapt back, tucking her knees in as though she were about to commit to a backwards roll in mid air. While the more brawnier of warriors could claim their strength was their ally, the more slender of them had the advantage of speed and athleticism. S’uun Esh was not out of the woods yet however.
She’d misjudged the leap by a second or two, and the blade aimed in an arc toward her torso caught her, searing the armour that lay beneath. Blisters of boiled and singed chitin bubbled up on it’s hard and durable surface, cracks forming where the stress had been palpable enough-the creature even shifted in discomfort! But it did not break – this would not be the case if the
Jeedai
kept hacking at her though, this the subaltern wasn’t going to allow.
As her feet hit the unforgiving stone floor, she brought her still whip-like amphistaff round to bear down on Andre at a harsh upper cut between his legs, hoping that if the blow landed, at best it would sever him in two. At worst, if he didn’t move in time he would lose a limb, a useful limb too, and then she would have him!
The snarl on her features was plain to see, he’d riled her now and his personal challenge was soon to be at an end, he’d fought well, but that would be all it was – all of it in pure hopelessness.
Around her, warriors of varying squads, including her own, seemed to be dispersing – An order to retreat?! Was their commander insane? The
Jeedai
were routed on their own territory, the gods voices must have
sang
with pleasure in the priests and supreme overlord’s ears! To retreat now, in her opinion, would be folly!
Order or not, she could not break off this particular engagement, her superiors would understand that, and no doubt be ever more gracious should she return with a Jeedai infidel as an offering.
“You fight well,
Jeedai
, but you must know that you can never win, it is the will of the gods.” She hissed through gritted teeth at her opponent, somehow, she doubted he would see things her way.

IC: Andre Hagan
Andre watched as he scored a glancing blow on his foe as she launched into a backflip in an attempt to dodge his blow. She was off on her timing slightly resulting in the glancing hit. As she landed she sent her amphistaff at him in an uppercut style attack starting from under his legs and aiming upward as if to slice him in half. He could have used force speed, but he didn't. Instead his used the natural agility of his race, unknown though it may be and dodged in an agile sideflip somewhat reminecint of a cartwheel. It did not let him escape injury though, for as he began to dodge he took a gash in his upper thigh, not a large wound but it still hurt quite a bit. As this happened the opposing warrior said to him,
“You fight well, Jeedai, but you must know that you can never win, it is the will of the gods.”
Andre looked at his opponet for what seemed like an age before replying, "I may lose and possibly die yes, but the possibility of such a fate shall not keep from fighting on, nor will I run in terror from such a prospect. I have my duty, and I shall stand by it, to whatever end." As he finished what he said he clashed blades again with his foe.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
IC: S'uun Esh
The subaltern grinned maliciously, displaying needle-like sharpened teeth in the process as if it added to the meanacing tone. This one was indeed a worthy foe, he did not run like some of the other infidels who fled in a blind panic - this was half the reason why so many of her kind went out of their way to hunt Jeedai. What's more, this one was accepting of his fate, he would be a great sacrfice to Yun Yammka.
Eyes traveling the same path her amphistaff had moments ago, she could see clearly now that the amphistaff had inflicted minor injuries, but it was an injury none the less. Infidels did everything they could to save themselves from pain, they drowned in their own agony instead of embracing it. Eventually, he would be forced to give in - providing she rendered him enough damage to actually be in agony.
For a while the 'dance' seemed to slow to a standstil, with each of them revaluating the situation, looking for signs of weakness and possible gaps in their defence stance. It seemed that both were an even match, that was what made it all the better challenge, S'uun Esh thought to herself, this had not been easy but it had been invigorating, reftreshing even, when compared to the long drawl of training exercises and fights between domains she had taken part in reguarly. Those had little reward waiting for you at the end of the day, if she could just wear him down, then her path to escalation would almost be complete!
Snapping her amphistaff round in a reverse arc toward one of Andre's wrists, she coaxed the biot into curling it's barbed tail around the flesh, bone and sinew that lay beneath it's grip, holding it there while she drew her double edged coufee and lunged forward for the attack. If he could not release his wrist from the amphistaff's grip, then he could not defend or attack as efficiently - at least that was the subaltern's plan, she loved nothing better than close combat, to see the whites of the enemies eyes as all life drained from them, knowing that it was she who had granted them their blessed release.
And at the back of her mind, she had not forgotten about the other Jeedai either, their time would come, even if someone seemed to be calling off the offensive for now.

As the amphistaff curled around one of his wrists Andre knew he was in trouble, just not as much as his foe evidently thought. Andre backflipped to gain time and as he did so he grabbed through the force dirt and dust from the hangar floor and encircled the amphstaff with the particles. forcing them all over the amphistaffs form he uncoiled it from his wrist. After he did so and as his opponet was closing he flung the dirt, with the snake like weapon along with it, off into the distance. Although their fighting skills were well matched he had one thing his foe didn't, access to the force. However he did not use such abilities yet, instead he continued using only his physical skills. So as the fight progressed even though it may not have appeared so to one that did not truly understand what the force could do, Andre was
holding back
. His lightsabers whirled in fabulous arcs as he began the fight, the
dance
, once more.

RE: Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Yuuzhan Vong War)
(i thought it was time to try something)
Streit stood over the bloody body of the vong field commander he had just killed, he despised failure. His blood boiled as he watched the vong troops empty from the temple. The Shaper he was being forced to work with had arived on a transport, this shaper he had "worked" with before, this shaper, Vok, had shaped many new creatures for the vong, most were still experimental, much like the ship full of Seekers.
They were odd beasts, the seekers, were smaller and had a more rounded body than The Fire Breathers and has two green eyes on ontop of each other. The body also contains the Seeker's flechette launcher. Attached to the body are the Seeker's three powerful legs. The Seeker has a powerful gait, similar to that of a gorilla, allowing the Seeker to easily outrun any human and can keep up with a speeder for a short time and smash through adverage walls. Seekers have a number of vocalizations, all of which are shrill, and fierce, and able to intimidate its enemies. When damaged, Seekers leak a blue, semi-clear fluid.
Seekers normally try to engage opponents at medium range, allowing them to fire their flechette launchers with great accuracy and being able to move in quickly and easily to use melee attacks. When targets take cover, Seekers use their flechette launchers and fire them near their opponent when the opponent has taken cover, so that when the flechettes explode, their targets will be caught in the splash damage. When up close, Seekers use a variety of powerful melee attacks with their legs.
Seekers always keep fully aware of their surroundings, in or out of combat, so using stealth tactics is not very effective, however surprise attacks sometimes work well.
Streit had seen the m used more and more escorting the Fire Breathers, or as scouts. Streit sent in a scout to try and spy on the jeedai, but roared with rage as some jedi had drop kicked the scout's head to his feet.
"SEND in Your Seekers, Vok, i want those Jeedai!"
Streit watched 15 seekers swarm into the temple and branched out seeking through the corridors.
<Get up Sjet!>
Li'el's eyes flashed open, she rolled her head and spoted Andre and some female vong duking it out. she stood up painfuly nearly collapsing in the prosess. she tested her muscles and raced after the stragglers of the vong forces, she round the corner and heard a quizitive pur like noise, she turned around catching a glimse of something shooting out of view. Li'el slowly back peddled to the hanger, before turning and break into an out right dash for the nearest room, the creature rammed into the metal door, just as she slammed the door to the old tactical room shut, the beast tried the door a few more times, before slipping down the rest of the corridor... Li'el found herself panting unusaly hard...
