"That is disturbing news. I've heard nothing of such activity. As to what your master saw Ziost is a haven for the ghosts of the Sith, especially that of Marka Ragnos, the chances that she saw one isn't that unlikely." Damkor said. "When we return to Coruscant I want you to inform the council of everything that transpired on Ziost. But I implore you, speak nothing of this planet. Jin Rei, Vin Yadel and I have promised not to disclose the location of this place so the people here may live in peace, away from those who may destroy them. You my friend were not the only one who was attacked." Damkor said to the young padawan.

Wayland, The Spacer's Port

Kiev Lorraine sifted his new information around. He might need to check out Carlie's. He was in the market for some good cigarras or a few sticks. Which ever got him glassed quickest. He wanted to avoid hard spice, though. He had gotten over that awhile back and wasn't eager to return. Maybe, he could get this Twi'lek to give him a tour. He grinned inwardly. Outwardly, he shrugged.

She looked up at the bar. "Well, looks like your order is ready. What table would you like? she asked him, while deftly scooping up the tray in one hand.

"Which ever gives me the best view, honey." The twi'lek raised an eyebrow towards Kiev, and then laughed soflty, as she headed for a table. "Well then, well have to get you one of the good tables. Want to make sure, that you get a good view of everything." she replied, as Kiev threw out his most charming smile. She leaned over, and placed his tray of food on the table. She gave him a small kiss, as she stood back up.

"Enjoy. Shows about to start soon..."

With a wink, she grabbed some dishes from the next table, and prepared to send them back. She blew a kiss towards Kiev, and skipped back with the dishes, before she would bring him his drink.

Mikhail entered the first bar he came across on the planet, if there was any place to start his search it would be here. He would contact his supplier once he had a drink. He surveyed the bar for a while taking in his surroundings, checking for anything that could give him a lead for this, Zelt Bozier.

....'New place. Very techie place, holovids, and all kinds of stuff in there'...

Mikhail wasn't eavesdropping but he could hear the Twi’lek talking to the customer, that had caught his attention. It slotted into the description of his mark. Rather than interrupting those two, he turned towards the bartender. Who's view was fixed behind him.

"Hey. You wouldn't happen to know about this new place around here would you?" He didn't respond straight away, Mikhail didn't even think that he noticed him. "Hey! You expecting something?"

The bartender gave Mikhail a long long. "Are you buying something? A drink? If not, then know, I dont know a thing about the place..." he stated, and then continued to pour a fresh drink.

Somewhere

The streets were pretty abandoned at this hour during the day. Angelo was trudging back to the cantina where he was meeting his partner. It figured that the place they had to go was not accessible from where they were currently. Many question went throught his mind, as he headed back towards his partner. He gave up the Jedi because of their ways. The life was not easy, he could live with that. But it was the beliefs that got to him constantly. How Jedi rationalize things to fit their own ends. A bit of "Ancient Wisdom" had an answer to everything in their book. But Angelo was no fool. Not then and not now. This business on Zoist didn't sit well with him and he was sure that Daemon was the same. But it was the next paycheck and that was how they got by.

Angelo walked into the door and stopped for a moment, his Force senses told him that his partner was at the back of the place. He saw Daemon nod in his direction, a subtle chin lift was all it was. Daemon, was busy scanning the room. Angelo slinked through the crowed and plopped on the cushion across from his friend, with his back to the room.

"Thats a no go on the tickets. No one or thing is flying to Zoist from this system."

Angelo's hand twitched. Daemon nodded as he sipped his tea.

"Well it was worth a try. We might find a spacer here that could take us.. but I doubt it. That is a very dangerous place right now.. How do we get there? We both don't know how to pilot a vessel, so buying one is out. Maybe we should link up in another system with someone to take us?"

Thre walk however was interrupted by the arrival of a rather burley gentleman at theier table. He seemed rather intent on depriving them of the credits they had on them, but both Angelo and Daemon were intent on finishing their conversation.

"I apologize for being rude sir. But you should leave right now. My associate and I were having a conversation."

A red dot was painted stock still on the annoying mans chest, right over his heart. His eyes traveled the length of the beam and found a silver slugthrower tucked neatly behind Angelo's back. While he didn't like using his Force senses... they did have their benefits. Precognition being one of those.

"Sir... if you please.... Shoo."

CHK CHK CHK

"Yeah.. yeah sure I'm going... sorry to have disturbed you two.. please excuse me." The man decided to take the advice of his friends, and excused himself from the table.

Daemon began to smile politely as he sipped his tea once more.

"What a polite man. Now... about these travel arrangements..."

Daemon's chat was interrupted once again, this time by the barmaid, who came by, with another cup of tea, and then leaned over to ask Angelo what he would like to drink. The human girl gestured over towards a table, with a young woman sitting in front of a holovid sat, long purple hair tied into an intriquet ball, and sporting what looked like bikers threads, was busy typing in somethng.

"Compliments of the lady over there. What's your drink?" she asked asked the pair.

"That is disturbing news. I've heard nothing of such activity. As to what your master saw, Ziost is a haven for the ghosts of the Sith, especially that of Marka Ragnos, the chances that she saw one isn't that unlikely." Damkor told the young man.

Tai-gen looked rather confused, as he listened to the request that Damkor asked of him. "Well...sure Master Damkor, but if these folks are hiding from someone, coudlnt the Council help them?" he asked the Jedi Master. He then shrugged his shoulders, "Not..like I really know where I am anyway. If we find my Master, maybe she could ..." he stoped his comment, and looked back down with a sigh. He rather not think of the possibility that she was gone just yet, even if he did not feel the comforting link between them.

So he simply nodded, and then took another bite of the food in the rations, as he sat back, and thought about what was going on.

"Are you buying something? A drink? If not, then no, I dont know a thing about the place..."

That was basically Mikhail walking face first into a wall. But it seemed as if he was going to be here for the long run, he might as well settle in.

"Sure. Pour away" He eyed the bartender suspiciously as he took the drink, he didn't drink it straight away. He wasn't really a big fan on alcohol, he had watched his friends become alcoholics or drug addicts back on the slums during his teenage years.

It was awful, he was glad he escaped that place.

"So, nothing at all?"

Cantina

Angelo's eyebrows rose as he stared at the waitress. "Compliments.. of..?"

He turned his whole body and strained to see who she was referring to. Daemon continued to sip on his tea that he had been nursing for about 20 minutes now.

The waitress began to get impatient and without turning to look back at her, still craning his head to the stranger buying them drinks, he answered.

"Ice water.."

She turned and went about her job as Daemon stared in his pacifistic serene way towards the purple haired woman. Angelo began to get up but was met by the sheath of Daemons sword. The darker man set his tea down with his free hand and began to get up himself.

"You lack... tact... my friend. I will handle this one."

Angelo smirked.

Only reason I seem to lack tact is because it annoys me. I have more than you do when the times call for it Daemon my boy.... but you are so willing.

Daemon walked over and placed his long sword against the bar next to the woman and leaned with his back against it himself. His eyes traced her frame lightly, getting a cursory glance at her body. To the untrained eye that was. In reality he was checking weapon locations and possible dangers do his immediate person.

"To what, may I ask... Do we owe the favor of drinks madam?"

Zaydin didn't sense anything that was a cause for alarm at the moment. No hostile intent, or any kind of sudden attention directed at Anaa or any other member of their group. Normal, safe...hopefully for a long, long while. Like 'till the end of their mission.

He looked back at the others and suddenly realized something that may need correcting when he saw that only Anna was the one who had a hood up, hiding her face. Belatedly, he gripped the hood of his own cloak before pulling it up over his face. It was a small detail that wasn't likely to arouse suspicion in some shape or form if an onlooker saw that only one tiny figure was hiding her face amongst this group, but it was a detail that was easily remedied. With the moment that had occurred between him and Anna on the shuttle, Zaydin suddenly felt more protective of the girl and was even more unwilling to allow her to fall into dangerous hands then he had just been before.

His senses still trying to detect anything suspicious, he looked to Alexia and Straven and tilted his head as his now shadowed face switched to a questioning look.

"Anyone happen to know where the others are docked?" questioned Zaydin, referring to the other group of Jedi. Their droid pilot could've mentioned it to Alexia and Straven when he had been in his bunk concealing the items. If not, their best bet was to see if they can contact the others with their comlinks.

Jin Rei Amarant, Jedi Knight

Syth Village

As Jin Rei and the two youngsters began to walk out of the Speaker's Hut, a sense of dreamy unreality seemed to descend upon the Jedi Knight.

Was this a dream or was it really happening?

Jin Rei looked down as he felt something warm grab his hand.

It was the young girl's hand.

She looked over at him, and smiled, which he returned immediatel. Her touch was gentle and familiar. welcoming.

"Hello Jin Rei of Bre'tor. My name is Nati and this is my brother, Kresh. We're also of the clan, Bretor, just like your father Ja'keem.

Jin Rei fought strongly against the urge to forget convention and embrace the young girl right there and there. She was indeed related to him! The realization was almost overwhelming. However, he was a Jedi now, and although he did not deny his emotions, he had learned how to control such impulses that would otherwise seem reckless...as they were at one point in time.

Jin Rei quickly held his feelings in check and simply contiued to listen to the young girl, though he did wonder if she had felt anything at all.

Our father, is your fathers brother, and he is the one who wishes to meet with you." she said smiling, as she lead him to a hut, almost as large as the speakers.

Jin Rei nodded in understanding as he also realized the possible implications of having such a large hut.

If he was interpreting things right, it meant status.

If that was true, that would mean that Clan Bre'tor was influential in this village.

Of course, he could be wrong, so he did not assume anything.

Jin Rei felt a gentle tug on his hands and looked down to find Nati smiling as she spoke yet again.

"Dont worry. They know of you." She said as she pulled back the curtain and gestured for Jin rei to enter, which he did without hesitation. From the entrance, Jin Rei could see one elderly looking Syth, sitting in a chair, surrounded by several females, and young children all looking wide eyed in his direction.

"Welcome, Come in." the elderly voice spoke to him, a slight smile on his face.

"Come in and meet your family."

Jin Rei almost felt overwhelmed, but managed to remain in control as he took a step closer and bowed his head before speaking.

"I am humbled by your generosity and very greatful for this opportunity, Elder." Jin Rei said, hoping he had used the right word.

"I would very much like to know more about my father and mother and my family... my clan."

Jin Rei raised his head slightly and smiled in the direction of the Elder, nearly unable to contain feelings of happiness and belonging.

It did not longer matter why the jedi hadn't told him about his origins. He was here, and that was all that mattered at the moment.

Nothing else could rob him of learning about his heritage.

Nothing.

Chade
Ziost – Caverns

Exactly why Chade had allowed the young man to approach so close he did not know, there was just a niggling feeling that attacking the boy would not go at all Chade’s way.
So he stilled his blade, letting them hang by his sides as the boy’s eyes began to glow, as if a silver light had been lit behind them. And in those eyes he saw things. His life since he was last on Ziost quite literally flashed before him. And not just his life, he saw the lives of other Sith too. Or rather, their endings. So many have been lost, he thought to himself. A pity they did not have the power to survive.
"You may enter."
Chade bowed his head to the youth as a pair of trees somehow moved, clearing away an area of snow to reveal a lavishly appointed room.
"Come in...."
The sheer potency of the Dark Side in those two simple words nearly send Chade reeling. Power the likes of which had only dare allow himself to dream of.
“People with this much power should not be kept waiting Chade…”
Choosing not to reply, Chade strode out of the snow and into the room, standing proud as any Sith should when meeting someone for the first time.

Alexia was pleased - and relieved - when Anna nodded and pressed a finger to her lips, the universal signal for quiet. "Good girl," she said with an easy grin.

There were all kinds of beings at the docking station, but nobody paid them any mind as they descended the ramp. Zaydin went first, pulling his hood up as he did so. "Anyone happen to know where the others are docked?" he asked.

Alexia shook her head, raising her own hood as well. That had been a detail she'd forgotten as well: four hooded beings might call more attention than one, but at least it would not be focused on Anna. For her part, she was concentrating on trying to keep Anna's Force presence masked - not entirely hidden, for that would also raise suspicion, but she could try and damp down her presence a little.

"The droid's informed them of our arrival, and I think our location as well, but I don't think he got a reply," Alexia said. "D'you think we should try again, or wait around here? They might be busy." Alexia didn't really want to think about what could occupy a Jedi to the point where they couldn't speak on the comlink, though, but there was no point worrying...

"D'you think we should try again, or wait around here? They might be busy."

"Hm..." Zaydin looked left and right, trying to see if he could find any robed figures that matched them, but the initial search proved to be a failure. There were all kinds of people moving around in the docking station but, while one or two wore robes, there was nothing else that marked them as one of the other Jedi that were sent out before they were.

"We'll give them a few minutes to reach us I suppose," Zaydin replied and checked his chrono for the time. "They could be busy as you said." Though he wondered what they could be doing that would delay them from contacting them. Zaydin didn't think that they had been that far behind them when they first left the Temple...but then again they did end up having to take a little detour that may've added some time between them. Might as well wait for now.

Zaydin took another long, careful look around, still trying to detect anything suspicious with both his eyes and senses before he looked back at the others, thinking what they could do to pass the few minutes that were being given.

"Her past is your present..."

Hm... He was doing that a lot, but now seemed to be a good enough chance to ask. Who knows when there will be another time when he would be able to ask about Alexia when they met up with the other Jedi and went on with the mission?

Despite deciding on it, Zaydin took a moment to think on how to start it. He didn't think asking her how she has been or what she has been doing lately would be an appropriate opening as those were kind of touching on the subject of her loss. As he took a step towards Alexia, he just spoke words that just came to his mind.

"Actually, I suppose this would be a good opportunity to get to know each other," Zaydin stated as politely as he could as he stared at Alexia, displaying a face that was genuinely curious. "We've both trained at the Temple but I don't think we knew each other well. Since we're on this mission together, I'd just like to know what you've done after training."

Alexia gave Zaydin a curious, evaluating look. His tone and words seemed to suggest something beyond polite curiosity - or did he always phrase things so formally? Too, he was asking her specifically rather than her and Straven, which Alexia found odd.

"There's not much to tell, really," Alexia said, glancing around for a quiet place to talk and wait. Right now, they were right smack in the middle of the docking bay, with a multitude of beings milling around them - Alexia kept a hand resting behind Anna's shoulder. She gave Zaydin a small, wry grin. "Technically, my Padawan training ended three weeks ago in a rather, well, final manner. I had to spend a few days with the Healers after that, and then the Circle assigned me this mission."

She rather doubted this answered the question Zaydin meant to ask, but there it was. Alexia shrugged, taking care to ensure her voice remained level and calm. "Before that, my training mostly concentrated on Intel work. My Master and I worked with Republic Intelligence quite a bit, tracking enemy movements, investigating suspicious activity, that sort of thing. Some undercover work."

Alexia tilted her head, glancing up at Zaydin and Straven. "What about you?"

Not sure if I ever mentioned it before: the way I see it, Calys was a master swordswoman throughout her life, but after Alexia was born, she switched specialities from the front lines to more behind-the-scenes Intelligence work. Alexia subsequently followed her into Intel, obviously.

"There's not much to tell, really."

Zaydin listened, his attention hanging much more on Alexia's words then he allowed to show, especially with the look that Alexia had given him after he had asked. Had he came on too strongly? He listened...and he found nothing that could be what Allaron could've possibly been talking about. At least, not with this quick explanation, and he couldn't ask her for more details without seeming way too suspicious. Maybe when the opportunity presented itself...

"What about you?"

With some of his attention on his senses while the rest pondered over Alexia's story, Zaydin had actually forgotten that Alexia was probably going to ask about his story. The question actually caught him off guard, and the guilt and grief that he still kept hidden leaked out for just a moment and once again he had to clamp that down. That was starting to happen a lot too...the emotions he's been hiding leaking out. Too many things were going on. Anna, Alexia, Allaron, the mission, the Sith, even Straven. The responsibilities were really piling up on him, trying to crush him under their weight.

When he went about answering Alexia's question though, he brought it all back under control. He did wonder if he managed to do so before Alexia or Straven could pick up on the leaked emotions.

"I suppose there isn't that much either," replied Zaydin, though that was a lie. "I had been Knighted on Coruscant right when the war begun and the Sith struck. I had to make a visit to the healers myself after that, and when I was deemed good to go, I was sent to Koros Major to help with some Sith trouble there." Of course, by then the Sith had already been defeated there; the Republic had already started making their push actually. There were remnants of the Sith force that tried to invade Koros Major that needed to be taken care of though.

He shrugged. "Soon after, the war was over. And throughout the next four years I've been doing whatever normal Jedi did; studied and did missions, such as this one."

Like Alexia, he was keeping it short as well by cutting out details. But for him it was a lot of details.

The elderly man laughed softly. "You are not in the Speakers hut, Jin Rei. You are HOME. Do not feel the need to be formal here." With a nod, two very lovely ladies stepped out, with a platter of food. The younger one, scooped up the children, who seemed facinated with Jin, and moved them to one side of the hut, so that Ak'hem could move closer.

Ak'hem smiled slolwy. "And there are some things, concerning you directly, we will speak of, after.." he added so sofly, only Jin could hear it.

Daemon didn't know if he liked this woman or hated her immediately. The first impression was one of confusion and questions mostly answered with questions. His face remained impassive, for Daemon was a master of his emotions. Such was one thing he was grateful for, due to Dark Jedi training.

Daemon stared his red orbs into her green ones. She was certainly attractive. But that also meant she was probably very dangerous. The lack of weaponry only spoke more to that end, meaning that she was very stupid to not carry weaponry, or that she simply didn't need it because of other skills that enabled her to either avoid fights, or dominate them. All of this flashed through Daemons mind in an instant.

"Tourists? ....Yes I suppose you could call us that. We go from place to place to see certain areas. As for the drink, the hospitality is not expected on a planet such as this, in a cantina filled with roughnecks and criminals. Normally such a gesture indicates that you want something from us rather than the other way around. But in this case the want may in fact be mutual, if at all. You see, my partner and I are in desperate need of transportation to Zoist. We have to meet someone there. I wonder, would you be able to help us with this? We can pay well."

Daemon continued to stare into her eyes, all the while feeling her with the Force, searching for treachery or deceit.

Angelo in the meantime was pulling firearms from strange places on his body and setting them on the table. The pulled a small kit from his backpack and clicked a button on it. His little black box opened up and extended, containing weapons cleaning supplies of all types. He set his two favorite sidearms on the table and began to break them down and clean them. His agitation with the situation prior all but gone.

Jin Rei Amarant, Jedi Knight

Syth Village, Clan Bre'tor Hut

Proceeding according to his diplomatic training, Jin Rei presented himself in a formal manner to the Elder of Clan Bre'tor.

"I am humbled by your generosity and very greatful for this opportunity, Elder." Jin Rei said, hoping he had used the right word. "I would very much like to know more about my father and mother and my family... my clan."

The elderly man sat up and gestured, and many of the smaller children moved foward to cluster around Jin Rei, clamering around him. Within the Force, he could feel their small minds, bursting with curosity, as they gently pressed agaisnt his mind, as if trying to catch up on everything in his life.

Jin Rei chuckled in response and allowed the probes. He had nothing to hide and was quite charmed by the curious children. They had the right to know 'something' about this stranger that had so suddenly come into their home.

The elderly man laughed softly. "You are not in the Speakers hut, Jin Rei. You are HOME. Do not feel the need to be formal here."

Jin Rei closed his eyes as a wave of emotion coursed through him at the mention of the word 'Home'.

Yes, he could feel it in the core of his being. No one here was afraid of him or looked upon him with suspicion. He was indeed welcome here, and quite warmly in fact. This indeed felt like home. Something he never had.

With a nod, two very lovely ladies stepped out, with a platter of food. The younger one, scooped up the children, who seemed fascinated with Jin, and moved them to one side of the hut, so that Ak'hem could move closer.

Jin Rei opened his eyes and smiled candidly at the women. He nodded his thanks for the meal offered and the temporary reprieve from the curious children, charming though they were. in every sense of the word.

Jin Rei composed himself and straightened as the Elder approached him and spoke.

"I am Ak'hem. Your father was my brother. Since you now stand in your fathers place, that makes you a senior member of house Brethor, as am I."

Jin Rei's eyes went wide. He hadn't considered that at all. That he was an heir... to anything. Ak'hem leaned in closer and continued to speak.

"Your Original name was Jin'ath Ja'Rei...or that was the last I heard of it."

At the mention of his birth name, Jin Rei's mind almost exploded with recognition, and much more. Unbidden images rushed in, and he could not understand them. The Jedi Knight shook his head lightly to stop the stream of images and reserved his astonishment for later, as not to appear rude. He continued to listen to the Elder as if nothing had happened, but he was almost sure that he was being scrutinized by those in the room even as he listened.

"I spoke with your father about 3 months after your birth. Ask me what question you have...or better yet, show them to me, and we will do our best to answer them for you."

The first thing Jin Rei did was to lean closer to the man and hug him.

The whole room bathed him in welcome and he could not help to respond in kind. After a moment, Jin Rei took a deep breath and broke away.

"Thank you Elder..." he said, looking first at Ak'hem and then at the rest of his family.

"Thank you all..."

Ak'hem smiled slolwy. "And there are some things, concerning you directly, we will speak of, after.." he added so softly, only Jin could hear it.

Jin Rei gave a small nod of acknowledgement.

Ak'hem spoke slowly, as and elderly woman came to sit next to him. The two girls sat next on either side of Jin. Pointing towards the older woman first, Ak'hem smiled. "This is my wife Airya, our daughter Mer'la...and she.." he gestured..towards the girl lookin at Jin intenty.

"..is your older half sister, Jasca."

Jin Rei's eyes affixed themselves to Jasca and he felt a powerful connection. He broke contact gently and turned towards the Elder's wife , Airya, and bowed respectfully to her. he acknowledged Mer'la with a nod in greeting, then closed his eyes as he spoke.

"I'd like to know everything there is to know..." he said simply.

"Why were my parents attacked by....." Jin Rei hesitated for a moment as he was surprised at the difficlty he had saying the enxt word."...Jedi."

"Was my mother a Jedi, a force sensitive....or simply human?"

Jin Rei did notice that little was said about her. This made him want to know more, and with greater intensity.

"Was a born on this planet, or elsewhere...and how did I end up in the Jedi Temple."

Jin Rei opened himself in the force and let his mind share all his memories with his new family.

"....and.....how long have you known about me?" he said as his mind raced.

"The other Sith...are they from here? they seem slaves of the darkside, nothing like here.....I don't understand..."

Jin Rei bowed his head, eyes still closed. He had so many questions, but he did not expect an answer to them all. He just wanted to know the important things pertaining his origins, his family.

In the back of his mind, he even wondered about Vin Yadel. The Avenger. Perhaps the elder knew something of her as well.

It was thus that Jin Rei began to forge a bond with his new family.

He was no longer alone in the universe. He had something to protect. Something to fight for.

He had this village... and the Syth of Clan Bre'tor.

IC: Straven Fermare
Docking Station One, Wayland

Straven just sat in silence, contemplating what was going on as the other two ironed out a plan. He had no doubt that they wouldn't like his plan... though he paid attention more to Alexia's reasoning than Zaydin's. Straven figured Zaydin would object to anything he said. Throughout the mission, Straven had gotten the impression Zaydin didn't like him, and Straven was beginning to think the feeling was mutual. A slight smile crossed his lips, but there was no more time to think. They were now making ready to leave.

The four stood and moved down the boarding ramp. Straven noticed with surprise that Anna was holding out her hand to him... wanting him to hold it? A broad smile crossed his face as he moved up beside the small girl and took her hand. However, he never let his attention wander. He was touched by the little girl's actions--at least she wanted him to be a part of things, he thought--but did not let that cloud his mind. This was a potentially dangerous situation, and it would be very foolish to lower your guard.

As the Jedi left the shuttle and entered the docking station, the other two pulled their hoods over their faces. Straven likewise did so with his free hand. His hand then drifted down to his saber, resting inside his cloak. It was not a very obvious movement to most of the beings that would be here. However, he was sure the other Jedi would notice. That hardly bothered him though.

He listened silently as the other two talked about their lives briefly, noting that neither asked about him. That figured. This would be a hard mission, at this rate. His mind was only partially on the conversation though. Beneath the shadows of his hood, his eyes scanned their surroundings constantly. He could not afford to let down his guard. He held onto Anna's hand still, and started formulating a course of action should they be attacked. He knew that they were probably safe, but in his experience, in situation like this it was those not prepared for combat that died the most.
