Ziost – Caverns

Chade strode out of the snow and into the lavish appointed room, standing proud as any Sith should when meeting someone for the first time.

As Chade entered the room, he saw movement from a corner of the room. There were all kinds of items and artifacts, spread throughtout the area. Another youth, which looked to be about 13, was standing next to someone who had their back to Chade, and was putting on a robe. The young man handed him what looked like a long cane, and then bowing stepped back. The figure turned slowly to look at Chade.

Chade could feel the power radiating from the man, before he turned. He was truly a Sith Master, in every sense of the word. Chade could feel the darkside radiating from the man in waves. But there was something else there too. He couldnt quite put his finger on it, but there was something else going on as well. The man looked Chade up and down before he finally spoke.

"Welcome. I have been waiting for someone. Perhaps, you are the person I seek. Come, let me have a look at you."

As Chade enters the room, he notices that he feels something within his robes, begining to grow warm, almost painfully so. The metal plate, that he had picked up eariler, is reacting to something within the room.

The old man looks at him, peering closely. "If you are the one, then you already have the tools necessary. If not, it wont matter. Come, I have something to show you."

Chade swears he hears laughter, but it is not coming from the old man, as he moves towards an end of the room, and places his hand on a section of wall. It slowly slides back to show a machine. No, the term machine does not do the thing justice. It is huge, with parts of it disspearin off into the depths, as far as the eye can see. There is a faint smell of blood, but the place is well lit. Sith symbols line every part of the machine, as well as some parts of the floor, as you can see. There is a soft hum coming from someplace within the mechanics, but it is impossible to sight exactally where. In the center of the room, there is what looks like a throne or seat. It is carved out of the darkest looking black stone, that seems to absorb all the light near it. There is a raised part near the armrest on one side, but it is difficult to see any further, without stepping into the room.

The man only looks on in interest.

Docking Station One, Wayland

Alexia Rivers was pleased - and relieved - when Anna nodded and pressed a finger to her lips, the universal signal for quiet. "Good girl," she said with an easy grin, as they headed out the ship.

Zaydin Ven didn't sense anything that was a cause for alarm at the moment. No hostile intent, or any kind of sudden attention directed at Anaa or any other member of their group. Normal, safe...hopefully for a long, long while. Like 'till the end of their mission. Zaydin pulled up the hood on his own cloak as he looked around. Behind him Alexia Rivers and Straven Fermare stepped out. Straven had decided to let the others iron out a plan.

The four stood and moved down the boarding ramp. Straven noticed with surprise that Anna was holding out her hand to him... wanting him to hold it? A broad smile crossed his face as he moved up beside the small girl and took her hand. However, he never let his attention wander. He was touched by the little girl's actions--at least she wanted him to be a part of things, he thought--but did not let that cloud his mind. This was a potentially dangerous situation, and it would be very foolish to lower your guard.

As the Jedi left the shuttle and entered the docking station, the other two pulled their hoods over their faces. Straven likewise did so with his free hand.

"Anyone happen to know where the others are docked?" questioned Zaydin, referring to the other group of Jedi. Alexia shook her head, raising her own hood as well. "The droid's informed them of our arrival, and I think our location as well, but I don't think he got a reply," Alexia said. "D'you think we should try again, or wait around here? They might be busy."

"Hm..." Zaydin looked left and right, trying to see if he could find any robed figures that matched them, but the initial search proved to be a failure. There were all kinds of people moving around in the docking station but, while one or two wore robes, there was nothing else that marked them as one of the other Jedi that were sent out before they were.

"We'll give them a few minutes to reach us I suppose," Zaydin replied and checked his chrono for the time. "They could be busy as you said." Zaydin took another long, careful look around, still trying to detect anything suspicious with both his eyes and senses before he looked back at the others, thinking what they could do to pass the few minutes that were being given.

Zaydin and Alexia began to speak out the past, on what Alexia had been doing after her initial training. Her response was quick and to the point. "Not much to tell, really." she answered him. She then questioned him about his own training. His reply was equally cryptic.

Straven listened silently as the other two talked about their lives briefly, noting that neither asked about him. Beneath the shadows of his hood, his eyes scanned their surroundings constantly.

Anna looked around curiously, letting her eyes roam. At one point, she looked at Alexia and Zaydin for a moment, eyes narrowing. Then she turned her head, and looked up at Straven, tugging on the hand he was holding. She then pointed.

There was a dealer, selling from and open stand, what looked like several items on his cart. Some jewelry pieces, what looked like tricked out sun goggles, a few food items, and other odds and ends. Anna tugged gently, and pointed with an outstretched hand. She then tapped her face, and then pointed to the cart once more.

As the group looked about, they saw past the docking area several shops and such nearby. Behind the cart Anna was pointing two, there was a crowd of folks watching what appeared to be a holo-vid screen broadcasting something, but they were too far away to hear. But the general sounds from the crowd, did not sound too encouraging.

A cantina was to their left, a parts shop, and a clothing shop were immediately to their right. Other shops could be seen in the distance.

Daemon didn't know if he liked this woman or hated her immediately. His face remained impassive, for Daemon was a master of his emotions. Daemon stared his red orbs into her green ones. She was certainly attractive. But that also meant she was probably very dangerous. The lack of weaponry only spoke more to that end, meaning that she was very stupid to not carry weaponry, or that she simply didn't need it because of other skills that enabled her to either avoid fights, or dominate them. All of this flashed through Daemons mind in an instant.

"Tourists? ....Yes I suppose you could call us that. We go from place to place to see certain areas. As for the drink, the hospitality is not expected on a planet such as this, in a cantina filled with roughnecks and criminals. Normally such a gesture indicates that you want something from us rather than the other way around. But in this case the want may in fact be mutual, if at all. You see, my partner and I are in desperate need of transportation to Zoist. We have to meet someone there. I wonder, would you be able to help us with this? We can pay well."

The woman met Daemon's stare, as she leaned back in her seat. "Ahh, I see." she said softly, with a slight smirk on her lips. She then became business, and sat up slightly.

"Well, A lady can offer a drink for many reasons. And as for being tourist, well, I can agree you definatelly had an eye for interesting travel spots." She took another sip from her drink.

"Thats an hot spot nowdays. Hard to get to. Even harder to leave, with some folks trying to blast anything that moves in the area." She made a face, but quickly as it came, it vanished, as she became all business once more. "But then, that what makes it so interesting..." She crossed her legs. "Well then. I might be able to assist you with your .. need." She smiled. "I can have a response for you within an hour. Payment can be discussed then, if that is acceptable."

Daemon felt no traces in the Force of treachery or deceit.

Angelo in the meantime was pulling firearms from strange places on his body and setting them on the table. To say the least, it had warranted him abit of attention from several directions, but no one was about to approach him, to say anything.

Well, almost anyone.

A young boy, was watching as Angelo pulled weapon after weapon on the table, his jaw slack. But then he started to smile, as he watched the man start cleaning them. Curiosity took over fear, as he watched the man work on the weapons. His sharp eyes watched every move, even as the other patrons went back to their conversations, while a few watched from their tables, nursing their drinks.

"Yeah..I know both of the places she's talking about. Which one were you interested in? Carlie's...or...the techie place, the Griff?"

"The tech place. I need a bit of infomation that's all. Assuming you have some?"

Mikhail took a sip from his beverage, the bitter taste made him grimace. As he mentioned before he never like to drink. For the moment he listened to the chatter of the other customers, local news, things about friends and families, nothing really important. To Mikhail at least.

Families. He never saw the appeal. During his time in the Republic army, soldiers who served under him would often mention their families to Mikhail, they where was also time when Mikhail would contact them personally. Telling them how a son, husband or father had died.

Maybe that was why he was off put by the idea of a family.

IC: Qenmas Pacto
Location: Control Room, Level 26

To say that Qenmas was overwhelmed when the doors opened was an understatement. The flood of light that washed over him was intense, and he had to shield his eyes just to see. There would be no sneaking around in the shadows this time. Aaaand hmph, with these types of people, his training in mind-manipulation probably wouldn't do much good at all.

For a second, Qenmas wanted to turn around and go back up. This was not his element. This was, in fact, furthest from his element.

But no... he'd done some work to get here. Turning around now throw that all away.

He walked into the room, crossing the vision of the guards.

He figured if this was opposite from his element, he should do the opposite of what he would normally do.

Qenmas took a breath and turned to the guard.

"Jedi Knight Pacto. I need to speak with whoever is the ranking officer here. Urgent Business from the Council."

He laced his words with natural confidence and some force persuasion, wondering if it would catch. Maybe the guard would fold, as to the officers, he sincerely doubted it.

He would deal with them via a different tactic.

IC: Daemon/Angelo
Cantina.

Daemon felt nothing wrong with the situation. But often times things were not as they seemed. There were in fact ways to fool the Force if you knew how. It was so deceptively simply that sometimes it worried Daemon. He would never admit such but having trained with the Sith, they knew what to expect.

He nodded to the woman and stood with a slight bow of the head.

"Assuming that transportation can be gathered, my partner and I will be ready to leave at a moments notice. I will return in one hour."

Daemon gave her one last cursory glance and picked up his sword and went back to stand by the table with Angelo in his usual fluid motions. That was another major difference between the two. Angelo was crude and straight to the point at the best of times. Sometimes Daemon wondered if it was simply to spite him and his carefully measured nature. Other times Daemon thought that it was what Angelo was really like. In their time as partners and friends Daemon had come to know certain quirks in Angelo's personality, and was sure that the man had been doing the same with him.

Daemon's crimson eyes turned left and found a youngling staring at Angelo's work. His eyes didn't leave the young boy as he spoke to Angelo.

"I may have acquired us transportation to Zoist. Stay here and I will gather our belongings. Our female contact there will have an answer in one hour. I should be back before then. If there is any trouble..."

".... Then I will call you after I have dealt with it. Not a kid red eyes. I can handle myself. Go ahead and do what you need to do. I am sure I can entertain these folks with my weapons for a while longer."

This pulled Daemons gaze back from the child. Deep blue met crimson red as they stared at each other for a moment. A small smirk broke Daemons face.

"Yes.... you are right. I will return shortly."

Angelo nodded and went back to cleaning the chamber of his prized pistols. As Daemon passed the boy that was watching he knelt down and stared into his eyes. The eerie red coloring of Daemons eyes seemed to pierce the soul of the boy.

"This is not the place for you to be boy. It is dangerous. You should go home...."

He pushed venom and some Force suggestion into the last word to drive his point home. He didn't much enjoy using intimidation tactics on young people... but it was all he knew. He was still learning a thing or two from Angelo in that department....

At feeling the Force being used, Angelo craned his neck around the side to see what was going on. He gave a baleful look at Daemon and shook his head. Daemon stood and shrugged as he swung his enormous katana onto his shoulder and walked out calmly into the early night. The breeze was soothing on his slightly pale skin. The air ruffled his hair in it's tie. His eyes closed for a moment as he felt truly relaxed. It was something he was not used to. But he could definitely grow accustomed to it. His eyes opened and dusk greeted him. The sky was a pleasant orange color, mixed with purples and reds. If he wasn't careful.... he would get used to it too quickly and forget how the universe really worked. Things were not peaceful. Things were not easy. Just one job to the next. That was all he normally allowed his senses to take in. But tonight was different. He didn't want to go to Zoist. For any reason at all. He knew however that this job was the next meal ticket. If he and Angelo didn't work, then they didn't eat. They had money to spare right now in their joint account.. But it wasn't enough to last forever. Had they been good at something else besides fighting, they would do it in a heartbeat. But somehow Daemon simply couldn't see them working at the local bread shop in town. Daemon was born with demon colored eyes. Angelo born with the Angelic hue himself. They were each others perfect counter balance in the universe. The perfect upset to the natural order. And so they would remain. For their squabbling and disagreements, there were quite few in existence that were closer than Angelo and Daemon. Their fates intertwined with each other. It was because of this. The fact that he knew that Angelo would always be there.. that he allowed himself this moment of peace.

The wind continued it's steady breeze. His red eyes closed once more.

Once they got to Zoist... things would heat up considerably. But they weren't there yet... So Daemon elected to take the long way back to the hotel...

IC: Straven Fermare
Docking Station 1, Wayland

Straven was still examining his surroundings when he felt a tugging on his hand. Alarmed, he turned and looked down at Anna, who was tugging relentlessly on his hand and trying to tell him something that he was simply not getting. Her tiny finger seemed to be pointing off towards a vendor not too far from them. His cart held an assortment of merchandise. There seemed to be little connection between the pieces. There was just some jewelry, some food, some goggles... nothing much.

Was she hungry? Possibly, but she knew that they had food. He scanned the area for danger. Perhaps her special abilities could sense danger as well? But, no, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary at first glance. So, he looked again. Nothing seemed out of place, so he focused on the group of people behind the vendor. They were simply watching something that could not be seen. None of them seemed a threat, though their reaction to what they were seeing did not bode well. Nearing exasperation, Straven looked once more at the child. Now, she was gesturing towards her face, continuing her tugging and pointing at the cart.

Annoyed, but still worried, Straven crouched down next to the girl, her hand still in his, and looked her in the face. "What? What is it? Are you hungry?" She was still pointing, so Straven turned to look at the cart again. His eyes moved from the food to the jewelry. He quickly tossed that thought aside. He thought she'd be too young for jewelry. That couldn't be it. His gaze moved over the sun goggles, and quickly discounted those too. What could she want?

He looked once more at the child, his eyes meeting hers, and realization dawned on him. He had it... or at least he thought he did. Anna's eyes were a very golden color. That is not a particularly common eye color for humans. If the people looking for her knew about her appearance, certainly her gold eyes would have been mentioned. Could this be it? Could this small child have the sense of mind and the intelligence to realize this? Was Straven making things up? Well, there was only one way to find out. When he spoke, his voice was gentle and curious.

"Are you worried about your eyes? Do you want those sun goggles over there?" He pulled his free hand from his saber and gestured over to the goggles, hoping the girl would understand.

IC: Zaydin Ven
Wayland, Docking Station One

"What? What is it? Are you hungry?"

Zaydin turned to look at the sudden distraction, finding Straven crouched down in front of Anna, who was gesturing at something. Afraid that a sudden danger had made itself known, the Knight turned to look where Anna was pointing, his senses immediately focusing in that direction to see if he could find anything that may be deemed as hostile or suspicious.

His worries seemed to have been for naught, however, when all that Zaydin found was a vendor that was selling his wares. Nothing suspicious or even remotely dangerous about that. But Zaydin did detect something that caused him to look past the dealer and at a crowd of people that were watching something on a holo-vid screen. He couldn't hear anything that may have told him what was being viewed, but between what he sensed and the general sounds of the crowd, his curiosity nudged at him to find out.

"Are you worried about your eyes? Do you want those sun goggles over there?"

Zaydin looked back at Anna and Straven, then looked again to the dealer. Ah, he saw now. Anna's eyes did indeed possess an unusual color, especially for a human. While Zaydin hoped that the hood of his cloak would hide her eyes, it would probably help to have something to more efficiently hide that very notable feature of Anna's.

"The goggles would probably help," Zaydin spoke while his gaze turned back to the crowd, his curiosity nudging him towards the display. What were they watching? Thinking that this was a good opportunity to catch up on sudden - and apparently stressing - news about Wayland, he started walking over to the crowd to see what was going on, looking over his shoulder at the others as he did so to say a quick "Going to check something out real quick."

Syth Village, Clan Bre'tor Hut

Jin'ath Ja'Rei, leaned closer to the man and hug him.

"Thank you Elder..." he said, looking first at Ak'hem and then at the rest of his family.

"Thank you all..."

Ak'hem spoke slowly, as and elderly woman came to sit next to him. The two girls sat next on either side of Jin. Pointing towards the older woman first, Ak'hem smiled. "This is my wife Airya, our daughter Mer'la...and she.." he gestured..towards the girl lookin at Jin intenty.

"..is your older half sister, Jasca."

Jin Rei's eyes affixed themselves to Jasca and he felt a powerful connection. He broke contact gently and turned towards the Elder's wife, Airya, and bowed respectfully to her. he acknowledged Mer'la with a nod in greeting.

Ak'hem spoke, "I spoke with your father about 3 months after your birth. Ask me what question you have...or better yet, show them to me, and we will do our best to answer them for you."

Jin's questions came to him in a rush. "I'd like to know everything there is to know..." he said simply. "Why were my parents attacked by....." Jin Rei hesitated for a moment as he was surprised at the difficlty he had saying the next word. "...Jedi." "Was my mother a Jedi, a force sensitive....or simply human?" Jin Rei did notice that little was said about her. This made him want to know more, and with greater intensity.

"Was I born on this planet, or elsewhere...and how did I end up in the Jedi Temple." Jin Rei opened himself in the force and let his mind share all his memories with his new family.

"....and.....how long have you known about me?" he said as his mind raced. "The other Sith...are they from here? they seem slaves of the darkside, nothing like here.....I don't understand..."

Jin Rei bowed his head, eyes still closed. He had so many questions, but he did not expect an answer to them all. He just wanted to know the important things pertaining his origins, his family.

There was a softly rustling noise, as the children, and the others left the hut. Now it was only Ak'hem, Airya and Jasca. Ak'hem reached over, and gently touched Jin as Jasca came to his other side, and laid her hand on his lap. "Be calm, and we will try to answer your questions with what we know." He said softly.

Your father, Ja'keem, met your mother off world, while exploring for a new home. She was not a Jedi, but she was a powerful, full of the life force user in her own right. Ja'keem told us her tribe was the same as the Avenger came from. She was smart, and not afraid of us. The Siren told us we could trust her." Images of a beautiful woman, holding a Syth which had to be Jin's father came to him. He looked very similar to Ak'hem.

"Your father had lost his first wife, Na'yira many years ago. Jasca was already in a young woman, when Ja met your mother. I think her name was..."

"Elisa-beth." Jasca said softly, her tounge slightly struggled with the woman's name. "He called her Liz, but her first name was Elisa-beth." She said with a smile. "Da had her meet me, before they left. Later on, I heard they were expecting a child. You. They were supposed to be on their way back home, when they were, attacked..."

"Yes." Ak'hem responded. Images flowing along as he spoke. "At first, we thought you had perished, along with your parents. Your father, we felt as he left us. Your mother, lived for a bit longer. She saw you to safety first. Some said she dissapeared, seeking revenge...we do not know what happened after she gave you to others, though. As for why they were attacked, the true reason is unknown, but it was probably the same reson that has been the one ever since the beginning. They see with their eyes first, and not with their senses. They see us as the others, and they do not give us time to explain. It is why the Siren stepped in, and found this place for us."

Airya spoke up next. "At first, you were feared dead for many years, and our clan grieved, but then we got word that you, like your parents, and like most of us here, were strong of the life force. And that those that called themselves Jedi had taken you. We asked the Avenger for their thoughts, and they believed that then, you were safe at the time, and that it was possible that you could actually bridge the gap that has divided us for so long."

Airya shook her head sadly. "But we no longer believe that to be true now. Not after what has transpired on other worlds. Nothing is what it seems."

Ak'hem stood. "Planets have been left to die. The ones that stole our name, are desperate." He sighed deeply. "We left, when we saw that the thieves wanted to take our name, and use us as animals. Others of our kind, saw them as gods, and saviors, but some of us did not. We saw them for what they were. Deceivers and liars, who would burn not only themselves, but us in the process. Three clans, Bre'tor, Ca'routg, and Ree left our old homewold, taking our families with us, and fled into space. For a long while, they presued us, for we had set a dangerious example. Many died back then. But in time, they other believed the lies, that we had been slain by their gods, and so for a long time they left us alone."

"But when the dark ones caused all of our people to be consumed within the Force, they knew they had made a mistake. They had lost something. Without us, without their mixing their blood with ours, they grew weak. Some remember the old tales of the clans that had left, and in desperation, they began searching once more. When the Jedi ... " Ak'hem paused for a moment, as he chose his words carefully.

"But when the Jedi chose the action they did, to burn the planet of our anscestors, it caused the balance to tilt. The Dark ones that remain have become desperate to find any connection to the old ways...and that put YOU Jin'ath Ja'Rei, in even greater damage than us, simply because of your ancestry."

Jasca spoke softly to Jin. "Because we stayed true to our path, like out ancestors, we age differently. Out touch to the life force is different as well, as our ability to share our knowledge within the entire clan. Even the entire village, if we wish it. We are truly united."

Ak'hem picks up his head, and closes his eyes for a moment. He then looks at Jin, and smiles. "Our time is almost over. But know now that you can find us no mater where we might travel. You are part of our clan now, and we shall hold you close to us. But now if there are any other questions you would have of us, ask quickly." Ak'hem waved his arm, and Jasca and Airya stood and left the room. Ak'hem spoke quietly now.

"The Siren has informed me, that you will need to be very cautious when you leave. What you trusted before you might not be able to now. I dont truly understand all of what she showed me, but I know you have to be careful. I have no wish to lose you now that I have finally found you again." Ak'hem hugged Jin tightly. "Now hurry with your questions, for your friends are waiting for you."

Docking Station One, Wayland

Alexia continued to regard Zaydin with a thoughtful look as he described his own career. There had been a fleeting sense of guilt and grief from him before he began, so faint that Alexia half thought she might have imagined it. "I was sent to Koros Major to help with some Sith trouble there," he was saying. He shrugged. "Soon after, the war was over. And throughout the next four years I've been doing whatever normal Jedi did; studied and did missions, such as this one."

"Korus Major?" Alexia said interestedly. "I remember that one, I think. I wasn't involved directly, but I think we were tracking Sith movements in that sector around that time." She also had a feeling her mother might have been the one to recommend the Circle send Jedi there to assist the Republic in the first place, but that particular report was probably still classified. Best not bring it up.

As they spoke, Alexia scanned the docking station. The usual assortment of shops and stuff, plus a holo-vid broadcast with a knot of beings watching ... "Are you worried about your eyes? Do you want those sun goggles over there?" Straven asked suddenly. Startled, Alexia glanced at him and Anna, who was indeed pointing towards a stall.

"The goggles would probably help," Zaydin said. He was looking at the holovid. "Going to check something out real quick."

Alexia nodded at him. "Okay." She turned to Straven and Anna. "Let's go look at goggles, then?"

OOC: Many apologies for the delay in reply, folks; Darth RL has been hell.

P.S. I'll assume that Myrkr has been discovered during this time period (i.e. ysalamiri) but its existence isn't widely known. In particular Cho-Shai's only ever been given the barest of instruction about the planet or the unique effect of the ysalamiri.

Cho-Shai Adimus

Docking Station One,
Wayland

Cho-Shai sighed in frustration when the comlink beeped to signal that other Jedi had arrived on Wayland. As if that Force wave hadn't been enough to ponder, now there was something entirely different -- a fleeting sensation, as of an individual who was dark to the Force, who just had no existence inside it at all. But it was fleeting, and the beep of the comlink had broken his concentration, and as quickly as he'd sensed the individual's presence, it was gone again. There was a flutter of a memory in his mind, a whisper of a forgotten dream, about the darkness -- that the sense was familiar somehow -- but that, too, was gone in a second.

Hm. Perhaps that was as well. If he was planning on infiltrating a Republic station to try and ascertain what was within, it might well assist him to have some other Jedi on side. Provided, of course, they could be convinced to assist him in that capacity. And yet -- one person could infiltrate better than several ...

Competing desires balanced, but eventually Cho-Shai remembered that he was the only master on Wayland at the present, and the other Jedi would need some direction. Once again Brill had maneuvered him into a no-choice situation. The Warrior Master turned and started back into the body of the spaceport, slipping away from the rest of the Republic Army contingent with some ease.

The comlink, of course, specified location but not where the Jedi were at present. For that he'd have to turn to other means. He reached into the Force and the Force reached into him, and he stretched his mind out across the spaceport, sensing...
Nothing.

Odd. If there were Jedi on the planet he would've sensed them as beacons of Force energy. Similarly, whilst the Dark Side whirled upon itself on this planet, it didn't coalesce around any particular person. But here he couldn't detect them. Cautious Jedi indeed, if in fact they were disguising their presence in the Force. On the other hand, that only left one real way to try and contact them given pulling out the comlink would be a dead giveaway.

Cho-Shai started for the rendezvous indicated by the comlink; it wasn't far from here. And with his mind, he touched on the Force's surface, like touching a pool of water with his fingertip, sending out a pulse through its rippling, a pulse that pretty much any Jedi should be able to detect at short-ish range: Here, here, I'm here. With some concentration, he kept the pulsing going, and headed for the rendezvous. The form of the touch on the Force was such that if a Jedi knew Cho-Shai from the past they'd also recognise the person calling to them.

Vin Yadel's Spaceship, Unknown planet

"That is disturbing news. I've heard nothing of such activity. As to what your master saw, Ziost is a haven for the ghosts of the Sith, especially that of Marka Ragnos, the chances that she saw one isn't that unlikely." Damkor told the young man.

"When we return to Coruscant I want you to inform the council of everything that transpired on Ziost. But I implore you, speak nothing of this planet. Jin Rei, Vin Yadel and I have promised not to disclose the location of this place so the people here may live in peace, away from those who may destroy them. You my friend were not the only one who was attacked." Damkor said to the young padawan.

Tai-gen looked rather confused, as he listened to the request that Damkor asked of him. "Well...sure Master Damkor, but if these folks are hiding from someone, couldnt the Council help them?" he asked the Jedi Master. He then shrugged his shoulders, "Not..like I really know where I am anyway. If we find my Master, maybe she could ..." he stopped his comment, and looked back down with a sigh. He rather not think of the possibility that she was gone just yet, even if he did not feel the comforting link between them.

So he simply nodded, and then took another bite of the food in the rations, as he sat back, and thought about what was going on.

"The tech place. I need a bit of information that's all. Assuming you have some?"

Mikhail took a sip from his beverage, the bitter taste made him grimace. As he mentioned before he never like to drink. For the moment he listened to the chatter of the other customers, local news, things about friends and families, nothing really important. To Mikhail at least.

The bartender looked over at him. "Depends on what you need to know. Not like Im trying to keep tabs on the competition mind you, but it pays to keep your ears open." The bartender grins. "So, Like I said, what kind of info you looking for?"

To say that Qenmas was overwhelmed when the doors opened was an understatement. The flood of light that washed over him was intense, and he had to shield his eyes just to see. There would be no sneaking around in the shadows this time. For a second, Qenmas wanted to turn around and go back up. This was not his element. This was, in fact, furthest from his element.

He walked into the room, crossing the vision of the guards. Qenmas took a breath and turned to the guard.

"Jedi Knight Pacto. I need to speak with whoever is the ranking officer here. Urgent Business from the Council." He laced his words with natural confidence and some force persuasion, wondering if it would catch.

The guard looked at Qenmas for a few moments, and then brought up his arm, and punched a few digits onto the device. The request was a bit unusual, but it was not his duty to try and decipher what was going on. He only needed to pass the information along. And so, he did. A few moments later, Qenmas good see a door slide open, and
an older looking gentleman, wearing a blue uniform, along with one younger officer strolled over towards him.

"Yes, Jedi Knight Pacto, I do hope I am correct. I am Seri Velder. How can I be of assistance to you?" he asked Qenmas in a polite voice.

Daemon felt nothing wrong with the situation. But often times things were not as they seemed. He nodded to the woman and stood with a slight bow of the head.

"Assuming that transportation can be gathered, my partner and I will be ready to leave at a moments notice. I will return in one hour."

She gave him a curt nod, and then opened up her keypad once more. She did not give him another glance, as her fingers began to fly over the device. She slipped in an earpiece, and continued to work, sipping her drink as she did.

Daemon gave her one last cursory glance and picked up his sword and went back to stand by the table with Angelo. Daemon's crimson eyes turned left and found a youngling staring at Angelo's work. His eyes didn't leave the young boy as he spoke to Angelo. The boy shifted slightly in his seat, and then he frowned, but he continued to watch with fascination what Angelo was doing.

The boy gripped his chair, but didnt move, as the strange man with red eyes hovered near him. If it was a staring contest the guy wanted, funny eyes or not, he would give him one.

"This is not the place for you to be boy. It is dangerous. You should go home...." He pushed venom and some Force suggestion into the last word to drive his point home.

At feeling the Force being used, Angelo craned his neck around the side to see what was going on. He gave a baleful look at Daemon and shook his head. Daemon stood and shrugged as he swung his enormous katana onto his shoulder and walked out calmly into the early night.

He missed the boys start, but then his face drew tight as he frowned. He then stuck out his tongue, and did an very interesting finger gesture towards the back of Daemon.

'He was home. Why didnt the old frackers mind their own business? Humph! Scarry eye freak!' He suddenly remembered about the other man, and stole a look towards him. Suddenly, he felt strange, and he got up and moved, finding himself another seat, but still able to watch Angelo as he worked on his weapons.

Angelo was busy with his weapons, when he suddenly felt something within the force, followed swiftly by the loud whine of a blaster a few seats away from him. The lady working on her keyboard had some unwanted suitors it looked like. Three men, who she was totally ignoring. One of them had drawn his blaster. Whatever the guy was telling her, Angelo was too far away to hear it. But what go his attention was the fact that the woman acted as if the man was not there. She finished whatever it was she was doing, and then slowly looked up to see what it was, that was disturbing her.

Angelo also noticed that the bar had gotten a bit quieter on their side. And the kid that had been watching him, was now wearing a huge grin.

Daemon meanwhile, was heading back towards the hotel, when he noticed a lone straggler heading down the street.

"Got a few coins?" the scraggly voiced male asked him, as he drew into speaking range.

Docking Station 1, Wayland

Zaydin and Alrxia were finishing up their discussion. And throughout the next four years I've been doing whatever normal Jedi did; studied and did missions, such as this one." As they spoke, Alexia scanned the docking station. The usual assortment of shops and stuff, plus a holo-vid broadcast with a knot of beings watching.

Annoyed, but still worried, Straven crouched down next to the girl, her hand still in his, and looked her in the face. "What? What is it? Are you hungry?" She was still pointing, so Straven turned to look at the cart again.

"Are you worried about your eyes? Do you want those sun goggles over there?" He pulled his free hand from his saber and gestured over to the goggles, hoping the girl would understand.

Zaydin looked back at Anna and Straven, then looked again to the dealer. Ah, he saw now. Anna's eyes did indeed possess an unusual color, especially for a human. Alexia glanced at him and Anna, who was indeed pointing towards a stall.

Anna clapsed her hands together, as a huge grin came over her face, and she nodded her head yes, enthusiastically. She then tugged his hand once more.

Alexia nodded at him. "Okay." She turned to Straven and Anna. "Let's go look at goggles, then?"

As Zaydin stolled over towards the crowd watching the vid, he could feel that the temperment of the crowd was quite agitated. Looking up at the screen, he soon found out why.

MARTIAL LAW ON WAYLAND!

Republic forces in orbit around Planet.
Final purges of Ziost and outer Ring

What was probably an local holonews person was blabbering on about several things. Zaydin caught part of his patter..

[..We have now gotten reports that Republic forces have sent several large warships, and they are now orbiting our world. Like I said before, they plan on finishing the job. We didnt like what they did. How about the bloodthirsty Jedi? They helped to wipe out an Entire PLANET! And they call themselves peacegivers? What if we are next. I tell you, we better start letting other planets know whats going on, before we are left a broken world like Zoist.

They werent here to help us eariler. Why now? I tell you, something stinks big time here...."]

The man continued on his rant, and it was obvious that it was having a very unhealthy effect on the crowd. And it was starting to spread.

As Alexia and Straven made their way towards the vendor, Anna purred hapilly. On looking up, and seeing customers coming his way, the vendor became very animated. "Well, travelers, what can I get for you this fine day?! My wares are small, but honest!" he exclaimed, as he waited for a response.

WHEW!! And as always, let me know if you need an update. Have fun guys!!

Yes indeedy ... grin

IC: Alexia Rivers

Docking Station One, Wayland

As they walked towards the vendor, Alexia became aware of a faint pulse in the Force. Here, here, I'm here. Both the signature and method of contact was familiar, for she had 'heard' it only hours before back in the Jedi Enclave's meditation chamber: Master Adimus himself. He was on his way - but why announce himself?

Of course- they were all masking their Force presences. Thanks to their droid pilot he knew they were at the docking bay, but not where exactly.

They were nearly at the stall. Alexia shot Straven a quick look, a silent request that he handle the vendor - he had undoubtedly felt the call as well so no explanation should be necessary, and besides, he was better with Anna - and hung back slightly.

This would be the hard part. Making sure to keep Anna's presence masked as best she could, Alexia took a careful breath and reached out with the Force towards the approaching Jedi Master. It was the mental equivalent of half-unwrapping a glowrod in the middle of a windstorm and then shining it in a specific direction - one had to grip it firmly or end up with a nice, brightly lit beacon for all the world to see. Over here, she whispered.

IC - Cho-Shai Adimus

Docking Station One,
Wayland

The Force rippled outward from Adimus, the pulse continuing. For a few, unguarded moments he wondered if he'd gotten it wrong -- and wondered if he was walking into some sort of trap. There was just nothing, no Force sense--
Over here, came the ripple in the Force, subtle enough that he might've thought missed it. But the sense, so familiar in his mind -- for two reasons -- was unmistakeable. Alexia Rivers.

He snapped his eyes over to the source -- there. That small vendor, and the robed figures there. Realising what he'd done, though, he immediately turned his eyes away, pretending to examine a nearby stall for a few brief moments. At the same time he whipped his mind away from the Force, letting the ripples stir to nothingness. His eyes scanned the booths around them. They were concealing their presence in the Force; were they, then, the bait in some sort of trap?

He slowly, carefully reached out to the Force, slipping into its stream whilst trying to create as little a ripple as possible. But it revealed nothing; no hostile intent, no malevolent curling of the Dark Side around any particular person. But there was still something strange here -- some kind of thunderhead on the Force's horizon.

Until the possible crystallises to the actual, it is only a distraction, the old teaching came back to him. Cho-Shai stepped away from the stall, flicking glances, ambling across the small square in a nonchalant way that he hoped suggested he had no real intention of being where he in fact ended up - next to Alexia Rivers. He flickered a glance over the stall, and then over she and her companions, before turning back into the body of the square, looking away from her. He leaned against a support pole, adjusting his Republic trooper's cap against the sun.
"Nice day," he said nonchalantly, doing an appalling job of the Corellian accent he'd adopted. "Wish I could find a nice cantina somewhere, though. Hey, would you happen to know one?" he asked Alexia.

This would've been so much easier had he been able to risk a Force-pulse, but until he knew why they were concealing their presence, he'd have to go with this cringeworthy performance of his.

IC: Zaydin Ven
Wayland, Docking Station One

"I remember that one, I think. I wasn't involved directly, but I think we were tracking Sith movements in that sector around that time."

Does she know? Zaydin had questioned to himself and did again while he moved towards the crowd. But just as quickly as he had asked it he dismissed it when he figured that Alexia didn't know about what happened on that planet. If she did, she probably would've brought it up before and she seemed surprised when he had told her that his presence had been there.

But she may in fact know what had happened and just didn't know that it was him that had been on that planet and had been responsible.

Zaydin pushed that out of his mind. If Alexia did have some knowledge of it, why was he worried about it? He was ashamed of what he had done, but he had long since realized that running and hiding from it hadn't been the answer. He had stood tall, took it, and learned from it. If Alexia did indeed know and pressed him for information about it, he wouldn't hide it. He would tell her what happened on Coruscant which helped lead up to what happened on Koros Major and hoped that she took it as a lesson that emotions should not be allowed to control your actions, a lesson that anyone who would listen or know of his story would hopefully come to learn and understand.

Focusing his attention on the holo-vid screen, Zaydin forgot all about Koros Major for the moment...and frowned when the screen just seemed to bring about other problems.

MARTIAL LAW ON WAYLAND!

Republic forces in orbit around Planet.
Final purges of Ziost and outer Ring

Zaydin's hood hid the frown that now appeared on his face as he listened to the rant that he and the crowd could clearly listen to. And he sensed and saw how the crowd took in the words and used it to fuel this sudden sense of distrust, fear, and even hatred that Zaydin guessed was directed at the Republic and, in extension, the Jedi.

Did the Jedi act on emotions that led to the genocide? Zaydin couldn't help but wonder. That wasn't exactly, as the person on the screen spoke, what peacekeepers such as the Jedi did. Having read up the histories on the Jedi, Zaydin had yet to really find something on par with the genocide that the Jedi had willingly conducted in the past. So why the wholesale destruction of the Sith homeworlds all of a sudden? Why this hunt for them?

And why this take over of Wayland to find these Sith?

The feelings that Zaydin had about this mission being much more then it seemed only fed on this bit of news. What was going on here on Wayland? What was known to others but being kept hidden from them? And was it the Jedi that were controlling the actions of the Republic into conducting this martial law on the planet?

Zaydin decided that he and the others needed to get out of the docking station. The news was having quite an unhealthy effect on the crowd that was starting to spread as Zaydin sensed. Who knows if they'll go into an angry frenzy that was starting to become quite possible and lash out at the ones their ire was focused on? Usually Zaydin wouldn't find it too much of a problem, but the fact that Anna was with them changed everything. There was no need to have attention focused onto them this way that could possibly expose her.

With that decided, the Knight immediately turned and walked quickly back to where he had left the others. He looked back to the vendor that had been selling the goggles and saw Straven and a tiny, hooded form that could only be Anna next to him. A moment later he found Alexia and...there was an extra standing next to her.

Zaydin quickened his pace despite there seeming to be no danger, and soon found that his sudden worry was for naught when he was able to see that the individual was Jedi Master Cho-Sai Adimus. Apparently he had found them afterall.

The Knight stopped about a meter away from the two, close enough to listen as he waited for them to acknowledge his presence. He also looked over at Straven and Anna to see how the goggle purchase was going.

OOC: Certainly understandable. Plus, they both fought in the war, so there is a good chance they had at least met.

IC: Straven Fermare
Docking Station 1, Wayland

A huge grin split Straven's face at Anna's positive reaction. So, this girl was that smart. Interesting. He stood and made his way over to the booth with Anna and Alexia. The smile crept away from his face as he moved. He was no less happy, he simply was focusing again. The situation most certainly was dangerous. He could tell that by the feeling of this place. He kept his attention focused, Anna's hand still in his own. The three were soon at the vendor, who seemed rather pleased that they had taken an interest in his wares.

"Well, travelers, what can I get for you this fine day?! My wares are small, but honest!" Straven smiled slightly. Most salesmen weren't honest, but Straven truly did not care. He simply needed those goggles. He was about to say so, when he felt a strange thing through the Force. It took him a moment to realize what it was. It was someone announcing they were there. He thought on that for a moment. The presence felt familiar, but it was hard to place. It obviously was not someone he had known too well.

It came to him rather suddenly. It was a master that he had dealt with on a few occasions in the past. What was his name? Master....... Adimus. That was it. How could he forget him? On an occasion or two, Adimus would spar with Straven as the master was passing through Dantooine on some Jedi business or other. Despite Straven's gift for combat, he had to admit Adimus was an amazing duelist. While Straven could beat his own master--who was one of the more accomplished duelists on Dantooine--by the time he was fifteen, he could not recall ever even touching Master Adimus.

It also occurred to Straven that he had fought along side of Master Adimus in the war. Certainly they had not been too close during that time, but he recalled seeing and feeling him there. It had taken him a while to figure out who it was that was communicating to them, but once he had, he felt instantly relieved.

He glanced quickly at Alexia as she glanced at him, and Straven easily recognized the look and understood its meaning. Without another thought, Straven turned to the vendor. "Yes, fine sir, this one here," He gestured to Anna, "has extremely sensitive eyes. His species is not very accustomed to light at all, and I am afraid we did not realize this would be a problem until we landed. I noticed those sun goggles there," Straven gestured next to the goggles that were his goal, "And am interested in purchasing them. How much do they cost?" His lie came out seamlessly. While speech-craft was normally not his forte, he had learned how to lie during the war. It saved his life a few times.

As he awaited the response of the vendor, he noticed out of the corner of his eyes that Alexia was now surreptitiously speaking with another man. Straven thought he recognized the man as Master Adimus, but he couldn't be sure. He trusted Alexia though, so he was not worried about it.
