Stent Kannat
Nodding with approval, Stent twirled his new gadget in his fingers and placed it in his jacket pocket along with a visor, and he strapped a chronometer to his wrist.
He eyed the datacards and the computer. "I do not think I would want us to be caught with the datacards on the ship. Someone might find it interesting that we had such information. Best that we keep the cards hidden in our room. If we do have time before departure, though, I would like to start examining them."
TAG: my peeps, LightWarden if there is time for Stent to start looking through some of the information

"No Agent Carfax, unless you've somehow managed to make your datapad into the most recognizable one this side of the Core, you'll be able to carry it aboard the vessel. Between the seven of you I'm sure you'll be able to share custody of two datapads.
Agent Solass, we can provide a headband for you, or try to find a different format altogether. Agent Kannat, unless you're in the habit of sharing your private files with complete strangers, you aren't likely to have any trouble with a few unmarked datacards. In any event, a majority of the information there is simply public record for potential investors, it's not likely to draw suspicion in the hands of a few businessmen."
OOGM: Sprint, the entire point of this thing is so that I don't have to put forth a ridiculous amount of effort writing a massive company write-up that you will likely never use. Stent looks up a specific question, and I provide a specific answer.

OOGM: It's normally found in tanks, as in
Alternatively, you can find it in salves, sprays or patches. Not that many people usually carry a supply around greater than a medpac for more minor injuries.
Note that "just slap bacta on it" isn't a particularly brilliant idea for anything other than first aid, and that a trained medical specialist might be able to get more mileage out of the system. Also note that none of you are trained medical specialists. Note that this is a good incentive to not doing anything that would lead to injuries, lest you have to explain to the staff how you managed to fall down a long flight of stairs covered in shards of broken glass that someone had set on fire.

Stent Kannat
Stent reached for the computer and the datacards. "I will be at that table over there. Just summon me when we are ready to go. I am going to start doing a little research."
He walked over to the nearby table and booted up the computer. The first question on Stent's mind: Who are the major shareholders and investors of Starlight Cruise Lines?

The Starlight Cruise Lines is the highest-class cruise brand of Starlight Cruise Ltd., publicly traded under STCL. There are eight 5% or greater shareholders- Kuat Holdings, the Galson Group, Millenium Entertainments, Varrada Leisure, the Saiga Collective, a branch of the Trade Federation, SMR Partners and Figg & Associates; totaling up to 43% of the company's stock.
OOGM: If someone with an actual business degree wishes to tell me that I'm doing it wrong, feel free. Also, any resemblance to any real-world corporation is entirely coincidental.
The research I do for you guys in order to fake something.

IC: Ruana Trebond
Ruana picked up a few of the gadgets, eyeing them interestedly before selecting the ones she wanted. She nodded in return to Susa, remembering her from a previous mission. She was glad that Susa seemed more comfortable, as part of Q'u labs instead of as an active agent. Everyone had a different set of skills, after all.
In her luggage, among other things, rested bits and pieces of useful jewellery- the alarm bracelet, the biorhythm monitor...and some, not so useful. Some, simply designed to look good. These, amid the clothes... It'd be interesting, doing MI5 work while dressed the way a noble should be. Of course, there were a few more practical things in there- she didn't like the idea of any kind of fight while in the elegant, delicate things that were designed for formal occasions. Among the necklaces in her jewellery, were some interesting choices...like her Heart of Fire gem, which she generally avoided wearing in public, making it safer to wear now, and a pretty thing involving crystals, that actually belonged with a few other bits and pieces in her luggage.
She'd been forced to stifle a laugh at the sight of Carfax, whose normally unruly hair had been drastically altered for disguise purposes. He really didn't look happy about it. Someone whose presence did not amuse her, however, was Halon. She'd overheard him talking to the team leader, earlier- he might have believed he was out of earshot, but Ruana was good at picking up things she wanted to know. "...would suggest that neither Ruana or Markus carry any parts with them in their luggage. To put it charitably...I do not wish to see any unfortunate accidents befall our equipment, if you take my meaning." She certainly had taken his meaning. He dared suggest she would shirk her duty or 'lose' equipment. He dared, to question her honour. Some trigger-happy Ubese, who thought he honestly mattered enough in the Galaxy, that he could have status enough to question her honour. Thus, she'd sent a message after that gathering to Carfax's datapad, informing him that Halon had tried to see to it neither of them were given any parts of the weapons.
Her irritated remembering was punctured by a question from her husband. "Any luck getting in a call to check on Alisa?"
"She's fine. She's being looked after, and she's enjoying herself," she murmured back. Joss had been...edgy, of late. She'd have to ask him, at some point when they weren't around the others, what was wrong.

As he picked up one of the chronometers and examined it appreciatively, Boz stifled a grin. He was pleased things were underway at last, and then there was also Agent Carfax's appearence. You had to be made of solid Carbonite to not find it a little funny.
As for the chronometers he would at least try to get it back to Q'u branch, but you culd never be sure of what might happen.
Boz walked over to where Stent was examining the information.
"Anything much of interest?"

Markus Carfax
Q'u labs
Markus picked up the various gadgets in turn and examined them, giving the tech's comments only a cursory nod (and saving Agent Solass' comment for a time when he could inflict a proper revenge). He was relieved that he'd be able to take his own datapad- with the personal computer they had provided he didn't really need it, but it was comforting to use his own equipment, especially as he'd modded the datapad extensively. He guessed that this was how the more gun-happy agents felt about a prized blaster, but luckily the datapad was much easier to use covertly.
Taking all the gadgets he was assigned, including the personal computer, Markus stepped back again to listen to the agents' discussion. He didn't feel much like talking in this brief anyway. The hacker didn't feel self-conscious very often, but his new look had apparently amused quite a number of the team. Markus scratched the nape of his neck, newly exposed to the elements and feeling slightly chilly. There was the Halon question to ponder, anyway. Apparently Ruana considered the hacker something of an ally against this Ubese gun-nut, at least judging by her datapad message. Of course, what Ruana didn't know was that Markus had overheard the conversation with Boz'rir as well. He was simply saving the fact for a later date, and didn't judge the attempted denial of weapons as particularly important anyway.
It didn't make him any less of a weasel in Markus' estimation, however.

Stent kannat
Stent pointed to the screen. "So far I only have a listing of the major shareholders of Starlight, which I have right here. Do any of these set off any warning bells? They do not for me, at least not yet. Right now I am searching for a list of who is on the board of directors. It is the basics that I am starting with, although any of your ideas are appreciated."

Halon sidled over to the computer where Stent and Boz'rir were now working.
"Try the name 'Kartov'," he said, thinking of the Gamorrean they had seen at the Vos Gestal. Halon had been curious about him ever since the auction.

Picking through the assorted gadgets he picked up the agent broadbase equipment such as the chronometer and that hidden stun devise, as well as the datapad/lockpicker that he tucked into a now empty pocket opposite the more normal pad in the oppossing pocket.
Giving a wink to the female tech, he headed over to see what the others were looking at on the data chips.

"Maybe see if any have connections to Harth. I don't want to give up on him yet."
Looking over Stent's shoulder, Boz considered who they'd seen at the auction.
"I remember there was that Nemoidian from the Trade Federation. He hasn't exactly got a glowing reputation has he?"

OOGM: Last couple of weeks of the school year. Hurrah for busyness.
The assorted gadgetry was divvied up amongst the agents, the seeds of preparation sown in the process. Whether or not any of the technological wonders would actually be useful was completely up in the air, but it wasn't as though the organization possessed the clairvoyance necessary to equip its agents with a tool designed for every challenge the agents would face. Such were the perils of the galactic espionage game, where more than one agent had found himself wishing he had a certain device to handle a sticky situation. Of course, more than one agent had also returned to headquarters with complaints such as "You gave me a bunch of things I never used", "This was supposed to be a low-profile mission" and "Why do so many of these things have self-destruct functions?", but that's beside the point. The men, women and nonsexed aliens of the Equipment Branch did their best to provide the agents of MI5 with whatever could give them an edge, and it was always nice to be appreciated. Though when Agent Solass's appreciative wink was met with a politely neutral smile on the part of Technical Officer Gren, he moved to join the other agents watching Agent Kannat sift through data.
As Stent examined the information stored on the datacards, a few things became clear. The first was that the time it took to find the information was proportional to its complexity. A search for something as simple as the names and faces of the members of the board was quickly done...
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer: Aves Harth (male human)
President: Lomina Endac (Female Human)
Executive Vice President: Raek Vel'ia (Male Twi'lek)
Chief Financial Officer: Marhu Sillib (Female Muun)
Senior Vice President, Managing Director: Wan Lomu (Female Woostoid)
Senior Vice President, Marketing: Jart Rha (Male Twi'lek)
Senior Vice President, Starship Operations: Captain Saricia (Female Devornian)
Senior Vice President, Sales: Driggs (Male Drall)
But a request such as the one to search for links between Aves Harth and any of the largest shareholders would require far more time to carefully sift through the information, assuming it was even there.
The second observation was that the datacards containing information on Starlight Cruise Lines only contained information on... Starlight Cruise Lines. When Halon's request for information on a man named "Kartov" came up empty, it was a sure sign that Kartov didn't hold any noteworthy position in the company. In fact, a safe bet would be that he wasn't employed by the company on account of his presence at the auction.
