"Sir, what's the Base Delta Zero order?"
"Base Delta Zero is the Imperial code order to destroy all population centres and resources, including industry, natural resources and cities. All other Imperial codes are subject to change, as you well know, but this code is always the same to prevent any confusion when the order is given. Base Delta Zero is rarely issued. ...."

Base Delta Zero is a game that centers on the command staff and support personnel on the bridge of the Imperial Star Destroyer Hatred in the days after catastrophic Battle of Endor.
The basic story line starts after the Hatred, who was assigned to deep space patrol at the time, receives word about the destruction of the Death Star and the death of the Emperor and the Lord Vader.
And before the initial chock this message caused amongst the crew had time to settle a new unencrypted order reached the Hatred. This order simply contained the coordinates of a rebellion friendly world and the unmistakable order Base Delta Zero.
Shortly after the Base Delta Zero order is received all lines of communications with Coruscant and the Imperial Naval Command is cut and the Hatred finds itself cut off form the rest of the Imperial fleet with only one order left to carry out.
What now happens on the command bridge is all up to the players and their characters.
You can choose your rank and position on the command staff your self (within reason off course).
Example Characters:
The humanitarian Chief Medical officer who objects strongly to the B.S.D. order.
The hard-line Army officer who advocates even harder retaliation against the rebel scum.
The Loyalist Naval officer who starts to doubt his conviction when ordered to destroy an entire planet whose only crime was to want to be “free”
And so on.

Personal history/Back-story: John Ceus joined the Empire in it's wanning days, being trained as a standered ship to ship Marine. He quickly elivated to Lt. Major and found himself on board the Hatred. The Division he was put in command of was nothing but a bunch of rag-tag milita men, but he made them into the soldiers they were today, the 605th Marine Infantry Division. They are still currently held on the Hatred, even after the Emperor was killed.

((Time for the first IC post, everyone with a approved character can jump in as you please))
Standing in front of the door leading from his private office to the conference room the grey-haired Line Captain Malachdrim took full advantage of this short moment of calm before what would certainly be a chaotic meeting, dusting a few specs of imaginary dust of from his rank insignia pinned to his uniform chest and taking a deep breath before opening the door and stepping into the conference room.
The cacophony of discussion died away as soon as the door slid open and the Captain stepped thru, taking a short moment to let his eyes sweep over his command staff before slowly sinking down into his chair at the head of the oblong meeting table.
Resting his hands in the classic “pyramid of power” Captain Malachdrim cleared his throat before addressing the others around the table.
“Good afternoon gentlemen.”
His gravely voice and sunken eyes bear whiteness to the fact that he has hardly slept since they received report about the horrific outcome of the Battle of Endor.
“As of 1300 hours today all of our lines of communication with Coruscant and Naval Command was cut, all attempts to regain contact has been unsuccessful.
We can only assume that Coruscant is under siege from rebellion forces.
Before this we did however receive one last communication before the lines went dead. It was broadcast over open frequencies and was unencrypted.”
The Captain once again lets his eyes sweep across his command staff to gauge their reactions before continuing.
“This communications only contained the coordinates of the world Coropin Prime, who we all know has recently and openly flaunted its connection and intentions to aid the rebellion. And the only order accompanying these coordinates was…”
Straitening his back and squaring his shoulders, fixing each and every member of his crew with his stare.
“Base Delta Zero… So I expect all sections to prepare the execution of this order to the best of their abilities. We will make the jump to light speed in 4 hours.”
Captain Malachdrim leans back in his chair and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“Do we have any questions?”

Rank/Specialization: Commander / WEPS (Weapons Department) DH (Department Head). He is in charge of the Weapons department. If the Captain wants to have something fired at he would talk to WEPS. [WEPS is usually the third or forth in line for command, but that's up to you]
Personal history: Odhin Rahl joined the Imperial naval academy at eighteen. He quickly rose through the rates. He proved to be an excellent tactician. He earned the rate of Commander when he was twenty-five. At twenty-seven he became the WEPS officer on the ISD Hatred. His CO, Captain Malachdrim, was well liked by his crew and by Odhin as well. He held great respect for the Captain.
When news of Alderaan’s destruction circulated, Odhin was heart broken. His sister had settled there with her new husband, after they had been married, that was three months ago. Dispite the fact that all the fingers pointed at evidence that it had been the Rebels fault, Odhin didn’t believe it. He knew that only the Empire could have accomplished such a thing, and only with the Fleet’s help.
Even though he believed the Empire guilty of the act, he did not join the Rebels. He was a loyal man, loyal to his Captain and loyal to his cause. What he did do was vow never again to let his beloved Fleet stray from their path.
IC: Commander Odhin Rahl (WEPS)
"Excuse me Sir... but a Base Delta Zero order? Unencrypted? On an open channel? It has to be false. There is no way that a BDZ order would be unencrypted."
Odhin thought for a second.
"Did it have an authorization code with it?"

The Captain waves his hand dissmissivly in Commander Odhins general direction.
What do you take me for Commander, ofcourse the propper authentification codes where embedded in the signal. The Personal stamb of the Emperor himself was used.
There is a uncharacteristic edge to his voice, and as he collapses his arms down against the obsidian armrests of his chair he looks very tired and old, not much of his old vigilance and energy seems to remain.
The reason it was brodcast along open channels is obvious if you thing about it Commander, In acordance with the Tarkin Doctrin the execution of the Base Delta Zero order against Coropin Prime will serve as a clear message to all others who would turn against the Emperor, and the lack of secrecy will only spead the terror even further.

He felt that this could be his and his last mission to a planets surfice if thats what it ment.
By the very lest he would kill some rebels, or some other new threat.

Odhin nods his head towards his CO. "I meant no disrespect Sir. I was simply stunned by the order. Which Fleet elements are going to be joining us?"
Something was tickling at the back of Odhin's mind. A thought that was just out of reach.
OOC: Just out of curiosity. Is the ISD Hatred an Imperial Star Destroyer, or an Imperial class II Star Destroyer?

"We will link up with support elements consisting of 4 Nebulon-B Cruisers and the Dreadnought Massive in the outer system. I agree that this is a somewhat small task force for a Base Delta Zero order but we will have to make do with what we are alotted, I am sure that the majorety of our heavy cruisers and Star Destroyers are being recalled to answer the threat agaisnt Coruscant and the core"
Turning to face Lt. Major Ceus.
"Your task will be to head up the bording action of the 2 Golan II Platforms that guard the planet. If we gain controll of these platforms we can use them to cut off the retreat of any planetary evacuation vessles and let our fleet element consentrate on orbital bombardment."
The captain sighs again but then sitts up straight in his chair and clasps his hands infront of him.
"The empire has been dealt a devastating blow, the destruction of our fleet at endor has meant a astronomical loss of life and equippment. And the Reble offencive against Coruscant and the Core worlds will most assuradly mean a near total genoside on the civilian population Loyal to the Emperor. We can not let this act of Terrorism go unpunished, and we will not."
He slams his fist down on the surface of the table with force.
"And Coropin Prime will feel the full force of our vengance. Any attack against the Emperor Palpatine is a attack on us all!"

John saluted and marched away, heading toward the barracks.
Once he reached it he found many of his special unit talking or playing Pazzak.
"Men today is a special day, we are to take out a Golan II space station, with the help of the IDP's(Imperial Drop Pods) we will take it out and possible stop all evacuation from the planet. Any questions?"John said
"Sir, what exactly are we destroying it for?"A private said
"We are destroying it so that the Captian and his ilk can activate Delta Base Zero. As what that is I can not say.Now than gather your gear we are leaving in 05 hours." John said gathering his gun and other items.
