"Very well." Gerrik said bowing his head. He knew that his idea probably wasn't that great, but he still had to try. It would have been the perfect time to show Abigail why he had been chosen as the Republic Observer. "But I'd still like to be more involved in this mission than just the call boy, I just don't want to be sitting around all this time while everyone else has all the fun." he added with a slight grin.

Backstab, Conference Room

The air in the conference room got thicker when the apperence of not one but two Mandalorian's entered the meeting aboard the Backstab. Jeru could feel the tension in the air from the other members of the pirate crew. It didn't make much difference what they were born. Mando's were still man and man still bleeds the same as any men. But Jeru didn't think of it as competition, he was glad that they were aboard just as long as they abided by the rules laid down by Captain Grim. Jeru learned a while ago to get past the whole whose {Censored} was bigger and that's what looked like was going on in the conference room. Jeru would let it happen as long as it didn't affect him or his team. He only cared that the mission was complete and no casualities were taken.

Capatain Abigail Grim briefly outlined the mission that they were partaken in on Telos. She told the team that if wouldn't be heavily fortified and Jeru wondered where she received this intel from. Jeru allowed Abigail the chance to answer the questions layed out before here before he began to speak up.

"Ma'am, if I may?" Jeru didn't really wait for the go ahead, he just kept on speaking. "I suggest we get a team on the ground to do some recon and gather some intel on the warehouse and the surrounding area. I do have a question as well. How far is the warehouse away from the military post?"

IC - Scotty
engineroom

Though he hadn't been invited to the staff meeting (he wasn't a pilot or commando), the sly engineer decided it was best to listen in... discreetly, to the mission briefing. He smiled widely with pride when he heard Abi say:

"The BackStab will be operating under a false IFF transponder, Scott will be taking care of that."

Indeed, he'd already taken care of it. All that was needed was the call from the captain and he could instantly switch transponder signals with the press of a button.

Ah Telos. He remembered it well. It was the one raid he'd been on as a pirate that hadn't gone to plan.

"Help! Scotty!"

A twilek hurried across a vast field toward the waiting transport. Explosions erupted all around her. The senior officer of the raid ordered the transport to take off. Scotty objected. A fight broke out and the officer went down. Scotty ordered the transport to stay.

"Scotty!"

An explosion threw dirt and debris into their faces. Scotty couldn't see. A heavy piece of something hit him square in the jaw. Everything went black. When he awoke, he was in the pirate ship, it was four years ago. His friend - more than that - was nowhere in the medbay. She'd been blasted to smithereens. It was her severed arm that had hit Scotty in the jaw, knocking him unconscious. There was no way she could have survived that explosion.

Scotty was rattled from his daymare by Calcim, his second in engineering. "Sir? Are you all right?"

"I'm fine, lass," he replied, returning to his duties - in eavesdropping on the mission briefing.

She nodded at the suggestion.

"That would be a detail for Mr. Karn to handle. But I expect that he would be gathering intel on the warehouse while waiting on the BackStab to get in position. That will give them six hours to snoop around.
Also the base is sixteen kilometers from the base."

Dresden Karn/ Backstab Conference Room

Dresden sat in the conference room listening to the captain and waiting for her to introduce him to speak on the plan to take this warehouse. Suddenly the new man named Phoenix jumped in and said.

"I assume that you will have already prepared a jamming device so that they cannot call for backup? Or is there going to be strike team to take out the communications array?"

Which was followed up by the captain,

"If you mean are we going to stop the base from calling reinforcements from the rest of the Empire, then the answer is no. We will not be in the system long enough after the raid goes down that we need to worry about outside reinforcements."

She nodded towards Karn.

"If you’re talking about jamming the warehouse's call for reinforcements then I would say that is probably what Mr. Karn would do, since he is in charge of the details for the ground assault."

“That’s right, now listen up,” he said standing on his feet and leaning against the holotable.

“I have decided to go with a jamming device; it’s simple, discreet, and easier than an all out assault on the communications array. I presume Scotty can have one rigged up in no time. I don’t want any needless casualties on this mission, I’ve seen enough of those to last a lifetime, so no needless heroics. Just get the junk and get out. And now for the exit plan, since the Backstab is going to be at least a kilometer away, and the whole Imperial presence on Telos breathing down our necks, we’re going to have to hightail it out of there,” he then paused to bring up a blueprint of the warehouse and then continued.

“Alright we’ll go in disguised as Imperial transports shuttles, we have the codes all ready punched in and ready to go. They’ll be expecting a new shipment of ordinance, but what they’ll get is caught with their pants around their ankles if you don’t mind the expression. If we can spare the personnel then do so, but if not then good luck. Our transports will be in the hangar when we load them up with the junk. Now this will be approximately a fifteen minute job, hopefully those first ten will go smoothly so we go unnoticed. But if you know the Imperials, and I do, they will be very quick to respond, because even without their comms. word still gets around quickly and we’ll have imperial commando’s on that warehouse like bantha to fodder,” he then shut down the holotable and gave a slow scan of the room. His eyes fell to the two Mandalorians, he knew their type and he didn’t want them going in in true Mando fashion with guns blazing and the whole sense of dying with honor they preached about. Dresden then turned as he remembered his parting words.

“Oh and remember, fifteen minute job, so no knuckle dragging, you get on that ship when its time to go or I’m leaving you, and don’t challenge my integrity to do so because I will. Because when it comes down to it, if I had to choose between you and the mission, the mission takes priority, so if you get caught for making a stupid mistake, I’m not coming back for you, you’re on your own. And if any of you do anything to endanger my life or anyone else’s on this mission, you won’t have to worry about being shot by the imps, I’ll do them a favor and shoot you myself,” and after a long and silent awkward pause he spoke again.

“That’s all, their all yours Captain,” he then turned and sat back in his seat, resting his head on one arm. He just hoped he wouldn’t have to shoot or leave behind any of these men, but if he had to, he would.

Conference room

He listened to Karn speak. He felt like taking a nap as these breifings all seemed the same, he had heard the same 'don't be late, you're on your own speech' almost a hundred times now. He knows the rules and he knows what he is going up against, and what he is risking. He just wanted his payload, and to get out of there.

Nox had just leasurely sat back, he was beginning to understand why there was an all male crew. He looked towards the captian, inside his helmet he rolled his eyes, thinking to himself; She is going to be a biggest distraction. This is great, now we have to put up with the rest of these bafoons trying to prove how strong they are to win over her love.

Lost in his thoughts for a moment and he looked up at Karn. "I'm a pilot, I'm not sure what I can do at this point. I can go on a strike force, but that isn't what I was hired for. " he looked over to the rest of the people. "I could also lend a hand to the hot shot ace that you have flying around as a distraction." his options were really limited. He didn't wish to be of no use the first time he came on the ship, plus a battle was brewing, he didn't wish to miss out on that.

He waved his hand towards Karn. "at least this strategy seems logical. We should be done in less than fifteen." He leaned forward as if interested to see what the reaction was from Karn. "I would like to say one more thing. " He stood, and his head moved from left to right very slowly, as he spoke, as if he were not addressing just one person, but addressing all that are present. "My name is Nox Onus. I am, as you have guessed Mandalorian. I'm going to be heading up the three flight." He sat down. " That is all."

IC: Migalia Bitalio
Conference room

Migalia momentarily tore his gaze from the other Mandalorian and listend to Abigail speak of the mission. It was a snatch and grab job. Not the type that Migalia preferred personally but it was also the first mission. Sometimes you had to start small and work your way up to get the bigger scores.

A question was posed about recon. Jeru seemed to know what he was talking about. Migalia made a mental note of that, not to take the man lightly even given the outward appearances that he projected. It would have been the first thing Migalia asked about. What kind of resistence they were looking at. It would help him guage whether or not he would don his armor for this particular mission. Migalia remained in his corner, taking in all of the conversation, yet stealing glances at Abigail discretely. He would think that his team would be best suited as a recon squad, simply because of Wolf's stealth skills and Techy with his slicing expertise. Migalia looked forward to seeing them in action for the first time. Then again, technically speaking, for this run there probably wouldn't be any action.

And then the moment he was waiting for. Nox began to speak. After the first line of questioning, he had responded with the all too stereotypical Mando, self indulgant, ignorant "I'm better than you" attitude. Migalia was itching to spar with that man. If nothing else to teach him respect. Migalia was strong, but he wasn't the kind of person to simply run in guns blazing and relying on his Beskar'gam to ward off any blasts that would come his way. He was tactful. He was cunning. He was a soldier. And a thumping good one at that.

Nox stood to address the room.

"My name is Nox Onus. I am, as you have guessed Mandalorian. I'm going to be heading up the three flight. That is all."

Migalia blinked. It was all he could do to supress bursting out laughing. He could not contain himself any longer. His face split into that dark smile again.

"Well thank you for gracing us with that information "Your Highness." Perhaps if you stay in your fighter, the bucketheads wont notice us for a few more minutes due to the, "Matter of Fact" speeches coming their way. At least they get to filter comms. Say, is their an Off switch to that helmet speaker? I don't know if my own Buy'ce (Helmet) can take so much ego besides mine."

Migalia pushed off the wall and looked at Karn.

"I understand the objectives, just tell me where you need me and my team and the job will get done."

He made for the door and chuckled as he muttered an old mando saying.

"Ori'buyce, kih'kovid" (All helmet and no head)

Before fulling leaving the room, Migalia turned and raised his hand while standing at attention for the rest of the room.

"My name is Migalia Ordo, I will be preparing my men! That is all!"

He walked from the room chuckling and shaking his head. It was only half way down the hallway that Migalia realized he had referred to himself as Ordo, and not Bitalio.

Figures that it takes an overzealous Mando to revert me to my clan name....

His humor turned to anger as he snatched at his comlink.

"Doc, get Techy and Wolf and meet me in the Hangar, far corner. 15 minutes leave your gear we aren't departing yet. I need to brief you."

With military speed he got an immediate response.

"As ordered boss. See you in 15."

The engineer listened closely to the meeting and picked his head up when Karn spoke up.

"I have decided to go with a jamming device; it's simple, discreet, and easier than an all out assault on the communications array. I presume Scotty can have one rigged up in no time."

Aye, it was simple enough to jam communications locally, but that ninny on the bridge, Sillian or whatever his name was, was the person to do it. The equipment was all there and Scotty didn't have the time to go to the bridge and do it. Sillian most likely knew what to do.

Conference Room, Drake Antares

Drake gave Nox an evil grin as he passed, Nox had indeed knocked Drake on his arse more then a few times but towards the end of his training Drake gave Nox a good beating too.
Mando's are so sensitive. Drake thought to himself.

He listened to the mission specs. He had been to Telos, a governor there had decided that his island didn't want to be part of the Empire anymore. The Emperor decided that he didn't want the island part of the planet anymore. Drake and his team and eliminated that land mass. It wasn't hard it was a relatively small island, several barrels of baradium and bombardment from a star destroyer and the island was eroded into the ocean.

"I have a suggestion. When the the operation starts the BackStab leaves the port and heads out a klick or so into the country. There are several farms with big enough fields to land the BackStab and the moment they find out the warehouse is being attacked they will lock down the space port. If we do send a team for recon the team can acquire a ground transport and bring it to the warehouse. We stock up there and head out of the city, exactly where they expect us NOT to go." Antares suggested.

Phoenix shook his head at the last idea. He leaned forward and scratched the back of head and spoke.

“No good, soldier. I used to fly with the Empire and I figured out how they do things. The minute they get wind of a raid, they are going to jump on your pretty quick. Ships will be in system before you can curse the Emperor. The last thing we want is to be stuck on the planet with a ISD around, because they will get that comm back up and the tables will be turned.”

Phoenix folded his arms and shook his head again. He resumed speaking with a grim look on his face.

“Nope, what we need to do is get our stuff and book it to a safe distance, before things get real heavy. Listen to Karn, he has a good idea on how to go. Make real damn sure you get back, too, because in the heat of the situation morals are discarded and you’ll be stuck toughing it out with a hundred Stormtroopers on your tail and no back-up, because the crew sure as hell ain’t coming back for you.”

"A lot of us use to do things a lot worse than fly for the Empire, Kid. Now, the jamming should take care of immediate reinforcements for the warehouse. I like the idea of putting in one of the commando teams a day or two before the initial assault, they can identify the easiest way to get in and out. They can also arrange for inconspicuous transportation, though I am betting if this guy is hiding supplies from his bosses than he has a fast escape route...probably a cargo hauler of some sort he can quickly load and deploy. That will be our best bet. One of my guys can get into that truck and make sure its not traced in few minutes." Drake said as he folded his arms and watched the holoprojector. "In light of how the Rebels operate we can be fairly sure if someone strafes the space port or Imperial base they will be looking for a trick. If we want to come away clean we need this "distraction" to look legit."

Backstab, Conference Room

The details of the commando's mission laid down by their Commander Dresdan Karn sounded pretty standard. Get in, secure the goods, load the goods, get out. It was as simple as that. Jeru felt a lot better knowing that he had air support whenever he needed it, if they needed it. Air Support always took an extra weight of of Jeru's back. Before they were dismissed a couple of the commando's, Mando's they were had left the conference room. The planning however was still going on and nothing was really final. Other team leaders had great ideas, only if Commander Karn listened to them and actually thought about them for a second then maybe he'd improve upon the plan a little more. Nothing was really that cut and dry when your planning any sort of operation. Anything can go wrong at any moment.

Drake Antares kind of acknowledged Jeru's suggestions of doing some recon on the area and warehouse before hand. Jeru gave a nod in the former Imp's direction. It was clearly the only way to know when they changed shifts, how many guards had been posted and where they were posted at. Also the recon team would be able to figure out some of the standard operating procedures that this particular warehouse uses.

"I'll volunteer my team to go in a day before the raid and perform recon on the warehouse." Jeru said towards Commander Karn. "Unless however, that isn't in your plans and you'd rather go at it blind. Either way just tell me my team's and the rest of the teams more specific missions and then let me get my team briefed and preped on it."

Dresden Karn/ Backstab Conference Room

Dresden had been listening to suggestion from a couple of the commandos about sending in a recon tea. It was risky and Dresden didn’t want to take any unnecessary precautions. He wasn’t sure that he could trust these men that well, but they had served their time in the imps the same as he had, well most of them had, and so their input was also as important. As much as Dresden didn’t like the idea of sending in a recon team, he thought it might lie some of the crew’s worries to rest. Dresden already knew the layout of most of these bases, since the Empire used the same building template for most of their warehouses, but that didn’t exclude their sentry duty, those were not based on templates and the imps usually changed them almost every week for security precautions. So it was a good idea, what that Dresden decided to finalize.

The commando named Jeru Sheedo stepped forward and spoke.

"I'll volunteer my team to go in a day before the raid and perform recon on the warehouse." Jeru said towards Commander Karn. "Unless however, that isn't in your plans and you'd rather go at it blind. Either way just tell me my team's and the rest of the teams more specific missions and then let me get my team briefed and prepped on it."

“Alright then, since your all hell bent on the idea of a recon team then so be it. Jeru your team will head up the recon mission, but remember what I said about the commandos on the mission also counts fro you as well, you find yourself in hot water, I’m not coming to bail you out, you find your own bus home. Got it?” said Dresden concluding the conversation. He just hoped Jeru and his team could handle it and not spill the juma if caught and interrogated.

“Any other ideas before we go into the finalization of this mission?”

He listened to the young Mando'a speak about the situation. He rolled his eyes. "N'jurkad(don't mess with me)" he said to him as he was walking out the door.

He looked around the conference room and thought for a moment. "I will fly alone, I'm going to prepare my personal craft for flight. I plan on atleast doing something." He looked over to the captain, and then to Karn. "are we finished here?" he had very little time to be just throwing away on such things. He wants to get paid, he wants to get paid now. He has a few things in mind that he wouldn't mind buying.

He folded his arms and stretched out. "Also, is there any anti-aircraft artillery?" he said as he looked to anyone as he stood up. He would wait for the answer and nod. "Please excsuse me, I have a great deal of preperations for my flyer to be ready. "

This is going to be interesting. So many Mandalorians and not enough ship to contain them, he is sure that eventually there will be a fight between two, if not all of them aboard.
