"Big mistake."

How?

Beneath her helmet, Selpha was only able to stare with wide, violet eyes at the Vulture. That was impossible. The slugs had hit, they had went right through him. He had dropped...and then risen again. And the wounds themselves...gone. But how could that be? What was he-

The shock just made her an easier target for the Vulture's sudden, high-speed attack. At first he was there and then suddenly Selpha felt him crashing into her and sending her flying back, slamming into the pillar behind her with a crash of armored beskad plates against marble. There was a crack as well before agonizing pain that caused the Mandalorian to cry out set in as her shoulder dislocated. Her PK02 dropped from now numb fingers as she lost control of her whole right arm.

Just pain, Selpha managed to think through said pain. It was extraordinary, it was crippling her, and she could set it back but she couldn't. Not with the Vulture. And it was that thought that got her to react. Her Nari still hanging from her sling, her still-working left hand grasped it. From point blank range Selpha fired again and again and again. Despite remembering how the Vulture had taken the beskar slugs, it was the only action that the Mandalorian could take at the moment.

Having to deal with her own problems, Selpha didn't put too much thought to the fact of how some parts of the museum was falling. She was wondering, however, where the no good Jedi Romar was to help her with this.

ooc: Okay, you´re throwing EVERYTHING at us, now, right? Fin changed a few things in this post and even I am intrigued.

Kira Kara Romar
Museum, Karideph

The explosion virtually ripped the building apart. Large parts collapsed and she was standing on one of these parts. Her lightblade in her hand she felt the violent burst of force. Her hands spread and the rocks, huge and heavy, suddenly floating away from her like feathers. And the hissing, reptilian voice of Xenly hammering into her brain. Romar, Romar, Romar.

What happens here?

The fear that would have been natural did not spread in her. Somehow, this was how it should have been. The Xenly did not seem to intrude her mind. It was more as if they had awakened, there.

She had no answer to the question, when her body decided, her instincts guided her, into the next course of action. Leaping to the level above she jumped from wall to wall and began to climb the levels again. Deep down beneath her the Xenly began floating the halls.

No. No. I must find the holocron.

But it was lost. Buried under tons of stone. Even through her new, incredible power she couldn´t find it down there.

The vision. The Xenly. All of it seemed so familiar, yet so strange. Why was the force so strong here? Why was it so easy to control it?

Why am I suddenly so powerful? Powerful enough to kill, destroy anything. To save everybody?

Beneath the dark insectoids began to climb the walls. With the Tomb Raider exploded she had no problem counting the possible escape routes. There were none. Sooner or later they would be cornered by them.

Her last leap made her land on the level where The Vulture and Selpha Nephrite were still fighting, somewhere.

"Selpha! The Xenly are coming!"
She shouted and reached into the force. The Vulture needed some escape-plan. He was not the type sacrificing himself. Whatever it was . . . they needed to take it from him. Or they´ll be eaten alive by the hunger of Xenly.

Finally spotting The Vulture and Selpha in close combat at the marble pillar on the other side of a rift she summoned the force and leaped over it, her lightsaber high in the air.

The Vulture
Karideph Museum

The cracking sound of Selpha´s shoulder made him grin. But it was to early. Spasming from the impacts of the bullets he roared in pain. Taking three, four, five bullets before he could regain his initiative.

Leaping into the fire, dodging as much of her fire as he could, he tried to simply wipe away the gun, while taking the helmet and hammering it into the marble pillar, intending to break the skull inside. Pain was there. But it made him only angry. His fingers clawing into mandalorian metal.

Somewhere from behind Kira Romar would attack any second now.

She would be surprised how well prepared he was. Ready to give her his attention he waited for the humming of her plasma-blade. To come down on him.

Music - Meet The Angry Vulture

Selpha Nephrite´s bullets hit The Vulture in his stomach. Not the best of regions to get shot at. The creature, now looking barely like Jovan had as it showed it´s own mimic and anger, screamed in pain. Something had been hit. Something important.

Grabbing Selpha´s head and smashing it into into the marble pillar did not help against the pain. But it didn´t made Selpha any better, too. Inside her helmet various systems began to blink. Sparkles at her ear leaving her burned, while her neck almost broke under the impact of the attack. An aching pain in her head, her legs could hardly hold her weight anymore. The Vulture fought beyond the strength of anything near-human.

Before The Vulture could slam the body a third time and probably final time into the pillar Kira Romar was there. Her lightsaber coming down on the defenseless body of the Vulture. The blade never made it. Deactivating the moment it reached the length of less than a meter away from the Vulture.

"You forgot who gave you the weapon, Romar." Jovan . . . The Vulture grinned and his fist slammed into her face, sending her to the ground. A powerful blow. Hadn´t the force wrapped around her, it would have been deadly. Breaking her spine in the moment of the impact.

If it hadn't been for her helmet, that would've been it for her right then and there. Hell, it would've been the end of her when the Vulture smashed into her. However, while she wasn't dead...it was indeed nearly the end of her. Her right arm was useless, her weapons weren't doing the desired damage to take him down quick enough, and with that smash to her head, stars and disorientation took hold. If it wasn't for the Vulture still holding onto her she would've dropped to the ground with how her legs now refused to hold her up.

Through the alarms and lights within her helmet she was still able to spot Romar - finally - coming to help....just before her lightsaber deactivated and she was punched in the face. Great.

"You forgot who gave you the weapon, Romar."

But I remember who gave me mine, Selpha managed to think amongst her dizzying thoughts. While her right arm was useless, her left arm was still fine and dandy, allowing the Mandalorian to reach over and grab the hilt of her beskad.

She remembered her fight with the giant Lancer back on Travnin, knew even when she fought him that she was fighting him with a weapon that she didn't fully understand. And with how she was, there was no way she could fight the Vulture. Not like this. There was only one who could.

With what strength she had left she tossed her beskad over to Romar. The Jedi had seen it, had been ready to kill her when she realized what her beskad really was in disguise. She would understand. And she would use it.

Hespar Kessler, 124 ABY
Hollow Star Cantina

The explosion came from nowhere. Only in the force it was present a splitsecond before it actually aoccured. Hespar reacted, instead of thinking. I saved his live. Rolling to the side and ripping down the table so it offered protection he heard Jovan´s scream. His blue blade ignited itself in his hand. Again only reaction. Master Sentarin had teached him well when to use his head and when not. Especially the "when not" part.

He pushed himself to his feet just in time to realize the new danger come from behind. To late for a parry he just pushed himself into the air with the force and somersaulted above the attacker from behind. It would have been a graceful evasion, wouldn´t he have crushed into a table on landing. Clenching his teeth in pain his lightblade hurled in front if him in two fast slashes, defending him against the attacker. They had revealed themselves pretty fast. Now for their plan to work Master Sentarin would need to show up.

Otherwise he would have to fight a man who had killed a Jedi Master alone. And I thought this would be fun.

He withdrew and brought his lightsaber into a forward stance. "Okay, good opening. Let´s see what you´re made of." He hissed, his feet hurting since the crash.

The Vulture
Karideph Museum

He had taken her by surprise. If he now would give her a moment to gather her senses, he would be dead. Even without a lightsaber Kira Romar could be deadly. As she collapsed he gave her immediately another kick into her side, grabbing her as she raised and hit her with his fist. Still putting all his strength into every movement. He heard the metal of the mandalorian, as the girl tried to get up. He still had another second.

Head-butting Romar, he twisted his body backwards, until his hands touched the ground and his legs flipped up, and would be kicking Romar into her face in the matter of the few splitseconds. His head on the ground had finally grabbed his blaster. He performed a comlete wheel, shooting twice into the direction of Selpha to keep her down and then turned the weapon to Romar´s head. For the killing shot. Grinning broader than his physiology should allow him, he pulled the trigger.

Another Romar . . .

Ratep Sentarin, 124 ABY
alley, Travnin

The knight had the wind knocked out of him from the first hit and he saw stars from the second. He quickly stumbled to his feet, his right arm clutching his left side and pushing hard against his chest. He wanted to scream, but he was too busy trying to breathe in such strong gasps that it felt like he was going to rip his lungs out.

As he stood there trying to drown out the pain, he felt the danger. What hit him? The metal on the ground? No one could have -

Ratep let out a violent cough, his eyes widening at the realization. The Force user was here! Somewhere! They knew that he was a Jedi, a target! Hespar and his covers were blown! He looked quickly about himself, only seeing two policemen running at him from one way - and two other running at him from the other way. Kriff. His chest burned so much. This Jedi killer had it out for him.

Fine. The gig was up. So much for surprising the other guy.

Ratep reached under his shirt and ripped out his dull, featureless hilt and held it out to his side. It quickly sprung to life, the orange blade shooting out towards the ground. He eyed the policemen on both sides of him with, his rage not hidden at all. If these guys knew what was good for them, they'd get out of the way right now.

The knight suddenly charged forward in the direction that Hespar had gone, spinning his saber to point up and holding it in front of him. He also reached out in the Force, using it to heighten his awareness. If any of these cops were going to shoot, his saber would be his defense. And if the cops in front of him didn't get out of the way, their faces would meet the blunt end of his saber's hilt.

He needed to get Hespar, and these cops and the Jedi killer wouldn't stop him.

The Avatar of Yun'`Yarong fka Eloa Lan
Kat´lar, Hyperspace

The ship was bleeding, but they could save it. Keep it alive, at least. So Yarong could feed on it.

Eloa Lan, the Avatar watched the intimidated Shaper´s nurture their ship, as between them the Yarong, now over hundred of them, crawled the walls. For now she could keep her god from eating, but she knew she wouldn´t be able to do so forever.

"Where shall we go, Avatar of Yun Yarong. Where shall we begin?" They had asked her. And she had answered. With lies. They weren´t worthy of anymore, yet. The truth? They would never understand the one and only truth. "We go to Karideph and unite with our god, there, my brothers. And then you shall do the most sacred of acts. Shape a god into his new form!"

And they had fallen to their knees.

Now they were doing whatever she asked of them. No longer wearing her robes, but proudly showing the part of her the god had given her she nervously and impatient scratched the console before her with the sting.

Qatlar Qat was keeping order. The Shapers were to terrified by the presence of Yun`Yarong.

"The End. The End." She hissed to herself and turned away from the unworthy.

Her chambers now housed Yarong. Dozens of them. And in it´s center a pool had been breed, where they were devouring the remains of the Yammosk. Growing stronger, more numerous. She could feel them. Could feel all of them. But only hers answered. Onyl those around her understood her. Soon Yarong would open to her and she would lead him to . . . the End.

Only one place could be the battleground of the last battle. Of the final reckoning. She knew that to ascend and devour she would have to bring Yarong to the place were gods were once born.

Zanoma Sekot.

"Soon. Soon."
She whispered and in her mind Yarong answered. Yes. Soon. Consume.

"Yes, consume." And a chuckle escaped her lips. Gone were the memories of her fear and of Eloa Lan. The Avatar had overcome her mortal flesh.

To say that the reversion to real space was a bit disconcerting would have been acurate, if vague to the extent of emotions whirling around inside him.

He was nearly alone trying to stop one who would be god of the Yarong, as well as defeat the original releaser, and the Yarong in their entirety. If it weren't for the reasons he was doing this he would seriously consider the airlock or a heroic charge to death.

Hearing Uhl speak he sighed deeply before responding in their tongue, [He is the closest thing we have to be able to stop her and slow Yarong...hopefully long enough for others to finish what we start. So he is...] switching over to basic so that their fellow would know his words plainly, "You are a friend Melmot. We wait to hear where we may dispense our wrath and how." the words of anger seemed best suited to Melmot in these times, especially since they exited hyperspace.

Melmot...their friend. By far not one that he would have chosen but he was the closest to one, and as far as he knew the only one in this entire star system, this sector, in this region of space beyond the gods.

So it was with a heavy burning heart he awaited to hear the words of Melmot, the words of war.

ooc: Sorry for the delay, but TGI and I had to gather our dices and get into video-chat to play this scene out. Combined post with TGI and Fin approved.

Kira Romar
Museum, Karideph

(As an exception I´ll post Soundtrack instead of Fin.)

Music - Kira Romar Theme

The attacks of the Vulture hammered into her like deadly shots. Her skull colliding with his own, his feet, fists. Like sledgehammers. Hitting her body. Spasms of pain went through it, but her mind seemed to be far away from these attacks. A calm, a deadly calm had befallen her.

Yes, he is skillful. He is dangerous. He is such a sweet kill. Such a very sweet life to take . . .

Darth Zorn hissed in her head. And something inside of him knew he was right. She had to defend herself. Had to defend even Selpha. She would have to kill The Vulture. And a strange certainty whispered to her, she would. The final blow send her back to the ground. Blood dripping from her mouth. Pain crying inside her body.
Why wasn´t she dead, already? The attacks were more than sufficient to kill stronger bodies than hers. Yet, she was not even aware of any danger. And the blade of the Mandalorian passed The Vulture. The lightsaber of Selpha Nephrite´s mother buried somewhere inside of it. Slow. Needing an eternity to pas the few meters. In a world that seemed to be frozen.
The force raged inside of Kira. the force wasn´t slower. That artificial burst of power, that felt as if it was natural. But it couldn´t. Kira Romar was not that powerful. Was not that strong.

The thought that Selpha´s weapon wasn´t manipulated like her own was enough to redirect it into her hand, wiping away the metal-blade attached and ignite the blueish plasma. Deeper, more colourful than her own it floated her image with blue illumination.

A Jedi´s weapon.

The blaster in Vulture´s hand. Kill him. Her own body in the air. For all he did to the galaxy. Her feet touching ground, her lightblade reflecting. For the pain. She did not look, as the two shots at Selpha hit the Vulture instead. For the loss. He blade raised, still she looked at the ground. For the suffering. The eternal suffering. She stepped forward. Feeling the pain of the Vulture. For the love you lost. The blade waits. Like a bird of prey. For the satisfaction. And she looks into the eyes of the Vulture.

For a moment there is only truth. And the only truth that lies in him is, he will never give it up for free. The greatest liar, murder, deceiver of the galaxy stand before her. The Vulture.

"No." Escapes his lips and his blaster rises. And her blade drops. And his mouth screams. And her soul roars rage into the world. And the plasma cuts his flesh. And his arm falls to the ground. And his body collapses. And his eyes widen. And his throat releases incarnations of his agony. And she watches. And she feels. And she smiles.

Then she was back in her world. In her speed. Things accelerating to irritating levels. She breathed heavy and the blue blade of Nephrite´s mother is still in her hand. Her own in the left. And as the Vulture tries to get to his feet his flesh seems to bubble. To deform.

"Stay on the ground." Kira says and steps nearer. Feeling in the force that Selpha has taken no further hit, she feels the Xenly nearing them.
"I have no time for this. Stay on the . . ." The Vulture reaches out, but she blocks his strike and dives his arm, the blue blade cutting through his right leg, serving it. His body finally collapses.
"Hard to regenerate, is it?" She says. Turns to him. "Lightsaber-wounds cauterize. That makes flesh-crafting difficult I suppose." The smile on her lips is cruel. Exhausted, but cruel. A wave of her hand and the humiliated body of the Vulture is thrown against the next marble pillar.

Turning to Selpha she helps the wounded woman up.
"Thanks. Without a lightsaber . . ." She doesn´t end her sentence. "Can I borrow it until I can repair my own?" She then asks, as if talking about the weather stepping over towards The Vulture. "And I need something else of you. A little fuel from your jetpack." Kira adds. Staring down at the Vulture. The man was obviously in pain.
"I must warn you, I am not that easy to kill and I never forget an enemy." The Vulture hisses. His face now bubbling. Changing it´s features. His body changing size.
"I don´t care. I need answers. And if I don´t get any . . . I don´t know if it kills you, but even a Shi´ido can´t be to eager to burn." Kira hissed back. Actually she was pretty sure a fire could kill the Vulture. And wondered if she would do it. After he had answered her questions.

Or he´ll get back to you.

So what, I am dead anyway. Vision. Remember the vision, Zorn? I´l die and what is left of you in my soul . . . with me.

"And if I don´t do it, I guess we have less than two minutes until THEY are here." Kira added.

Yes, you feel them. Something not okay, Kira? Feels a little to . . . strangely familiar?

Kira Romar shook her head a little. Zorn´s voice. Speaking to much of the truth to ignore. What is happening here? What?

With Romar now possessing a weapon that wasn't faulty, Selpha had focused on dealing with her own injuries during the duel. In case Romar still somehow managed to lose, she was going to have to at least put up some kind of a fight which wasn't going to be much if she didn't fix her shoulder. Sure, she only needed one hand to shoot but it would be really nice to not have a dislocated limb. And if Romar did win they still may have to worry about the Xenly.

The Mandalorian managed to get herself back to her knees, leaning against the marble pillar that she had been slammed into how ever many times during the fight. And then she slammed her right shoulder into it.

Selpha was no doctor, and resetting a shoulder was much more painful then dislocating it in the first place. So it didn't come as too much of a surprise when she blacked out.

She was only able to remember the sudden explosion of pain and then she found herself having managed to lie back down on the floor, her mouth open in a scream that she wasn't sure she even uttered. The concern that she was most worried about, the one that came to her now, was for how long she had been out. Not long, she realized, and when she found Romar standing over her the Mandalorian couldn't help but let a small smile appear on her face beneath her helmet.

"Can I borrow it until I can repair my own?"

Hm? Oh, right, her mother's lightsaber.

"Sure," she managed to murmur, and she actually had to lean against the Jedi for a second or two before she felt comfortable enough to stand on her own two feet. Fixing her shoulder had been easy if a bit painful but she still wasn't fully over not just the pain that continued to throb from the fixed shoulder but the dizziness of getting her head slammed one too many times by the Vulture. Even with a helmet that hurt. One more of those and that might've been it for her even with that protection.

"And I need something else of you. A little fuel from your jetpack."

"Sure," she murmured again, not asking why, and her right arm instinctively moved to her jetpack. A flash of pain told her about the mistake of such an action so, letting her right arm rest at her side, her left went to the fuel line of her jetpack. She should be removing the plates of her armor from around her shoulder; the swelling was going to make her very uncomfortable in a bit. But not until after they had managed to get out of here. Until then, she didn't want to give the Xenly a soft spot in her armor to take advantage of.

Selpha made sure to pay some attention to that chat between Romar and the Vulture and the Mandalorian had stared a bit at the latter, at the way his body seemed to be changing size, his face bubbling. What was he? She heard the word Shi'ido but, while it sounded familiar, she didn't know that much about that race. She would just have to assume that it was another shapeshifting one. The Jedi was talking about questions...questions that the Vulture would answer.

Mandalore, Selpha thought, remembering the threat of the Xenly that the Vulture had unveiled. For once Cley Nephrite's head on a platter wasn't at the top of her list. Only one thing could top her hatred for her insane relative and that was the care she had to her homeworld and her family. Besides, it would be throwing a hydrospanner into Cley's plan of taking over Mandalore without the threat of the Xenly.

"Mandalore." That time Selpha spoke it out loud. "The facility with the Xenly."

She couldn't stand on her feet anymore; she was still too dizzy. Not caring about this show of weakness the Mandalorian planted her butt on the floor of the museum, needing to sit down while she recovered just a bit longer. She kept an eye out on not only her armor's sensors but the surrounding area as well. Romar may be looking out with her Jedi senses but Selpha just kept a look out anyway.

Her PK02 was nearby. Reaching out with her left hand, she grabbed the weapon and brought it back to her. Breaking it open, she set it down on her lap while she retrieved two beskar slugs to slide into the two barrels. It was something to do, to prepare for the storm that they would have to face soon.

The Hunter

The lightsaber did not surprise The Hunter. But in his armor the speed with which Tenk Qatar wielded surely did. Blocking the strike of the Jedi the energy-blade hit his arm and gravity-gun. Sparks came flying from the weapon as it´s prime function as a gravity inducer failed. Angry the Hunter striked out, two blades on every arm springing from his suit as he attacked. But his first strike was easily dived and failed to hit Tenk. Instead it sliced two parallel marks into the concrete wall behind him.

The Xenly climbed, crawled, charged through corridors and tunnels to the inside of the building. Their anger raging in the force, their hunger radiating from them.

A minute . . . more they wouldn´t have until the creatures reached them.

A little more time would Cley Nephrite´s men have, as they left the first dropship 9 levels above in the penthouse of the Museum. "Locate and capture Romar, kill all others. Go." Were Cley´s only order. And the men made their climb. While the rocket-jumpers prepared on the second dropship. It´s four brother-ships and Cley´s command post still floating above the complex. Cley Nephrite hissed, as he saw the fast approach of the creatures. Behind him his officer shouted something about an incoming imperial shuttle. "the more, the merrier." Cley only hissed. And his thoughts went to Selpha Nephrite. She was still there. He wished he could make her see reason.

He switched to the Mandos frequency again. "Listen Selpha, this doesn´t have to be your end. Hand me over Romar and I´ll evacuate you and you are free to go." He hissed into the comm-unit. "You have no idea what you are up against, believe me." He added.

Chapter Five: No Trust Among Traitors

Pergitor
Underground

Talia Qatar was tied up, when they finally arrived deep down beneath the city. Vexedo hadn´t talked much. His thugs had stayed even more silent. Tension was in the air. The city in front of them seemed dead. Buildings underground dusty and left to rotten, long ago. Yet, strange sounds came from this city, as they passed the rusty buildings.

"Handing me to the Church or the Empire won´t stop us, Vexedo. Tenk will find us." Talia suddenly said. The Falleen nodded.

"Yeah, realized that, too. That´s why I won´t hand you to them." He replied and kept walking. "That´s why I´ll give you to Hoole. He will crush your beautiful husband, if he got the balls to come looking for you. And if he survives the Xenly." Vexedo mused.

"The Xenly?" Talia asked. Vexedo knew more than he showed.

"Yeah, they are breeding them here. In the factory. And from what I have heard of Hoole he won't take chances this can be traced to him. I´ll get my money and leave. Before he releases them. When he does, at least." Vexedo smirked. "Don´t get me wrong. I hate that guy. I´d kill him if I could. But he has the aces. Dammit, he got the whole deck of cards. Even The Vulture only stumbles after him ,trying to piece together what´s going to happen." Vexedo sighed. "We are sitting on a lot fuel here, and he got the lighter. Accept that, Talia. You bet on the resistance, you bet on the Vulture. You are simply not good at betting." The Falleen smiled and turned again.

"Why do you sound as if you try to convince yourself?" Talia asked him. And Vexedo stopped for a moment. Then returned to his path.

Music - The Empire´s Plan

The Ardent-Class Frigate Byblos jumped out of hyperspace. Zar Praer stood on the bridge and watched the giant snake of spaceships lying in space. The HSS was obviously still in operation. Suppressing any hyperspace traffic. He hadn´t awaited this problem to solve itself. "Order: All energy down. Stealth modus. No radio, no lights. All ships prepare." He hissed. Tension unlike any he had felt since Borosk inside of him.

"Last transmission. Report Lord Regentis we are in position and ready to strike." Nodding he turned again to the planet itself. Far away still. But visible. With three Waycrest-Class ships hanging above it. Controlling the jamming traffic. These freelancers rules the orbit of Karideph, for now. Once the hyperdrive suppressor was destroyed they would cut this reign short. The 7th Fleet Response Element should have arrived by now. A nice name for a trio of Pelleaon-Class Star Destroyers. And enough firepower to solve that problem. For good.

Now, he had to wait. For Regentis. For the right moment to fight.

He disliked direct participation in battles. The one thing he disliked more was waiting.

Kat´lar

Music - Endless

Qatlar Qat stood in front of the viewscreen. his mind almost shut down, from the horrors he had to watch around him. The new god did not demand sacrifice in blood, but in the sanity and soul of his servants. He could accept that. It just needed a little longer to digest.

"Master, the Kat´lar is damaged, but has one more jump in it. The final god is here, as you have said. Right beneath our feet. And something else is here, too. Data indicate a battle is going on on the surface. And the mercenaries holding Karideph seem to be involved. Shall we proceed, Mistress?" He bowed his head.

GM Housekeeping

Obviously we have our first true player lost. bluebeast1237 seems to be missing and I´ll write him out after a month of not hearing a word from him. I´ll pm Nick though if he wants to join another storyline.

Si Kya and U´tek haven´t yet answered their tags. They´ll be updated once they did.

Otherwise . . . Chapter Five should be shorter than Four. And will lead us directly into the finale of Chapter Six.

Glad you are all there. I take it as a sign that you enjoy this at least a bit as much as I do.

The armor was strong, a bit of a bad spot there. But the Hunter wasn't as fast as him which he noted as he dodged his next attack. And with that gravity gun seeming to have been disabled, he could at least keep his distance while he tried to form a plan. As he just saw, lightsabers weren't going to cut through that armor, blasters were ineffective as well. Keep shooting until he overheated? He heard such things before but how long was that going to take?

"Who are you?" Tenk finally asked, for some reason thinking that he would try talking as he kept his distance. "Why are you after me?"

It was a good way to try and give him time to think of something either way. He remembered there having been an explosion before this whole duel and he now looked for any detonators or grenades that would still be on this guy. If not on his opponent he may have to try and see if any of those church guards had dropped anything. Pretty much all he had to go on for a plan of attack was find some more firepower to try and crack through that armor. And what about U'tek? And Talia? Where were they?

His senses stretched out, not only to take in the Hunter but to locate those two as well. Despite U'tek still being nearby in this whole firefight he was even more concerned for his wife. Her sudden disappearance and now all this chaos. Regentis's words came to mind and Tenk tried not to seem as troubled as he actually was by them.

"I really don't have time for this."

The Vulture
Ruins of the Museum

He looked up and laughed.
"Burn me? Yeah, that would work. Yeah, Romar. You could be proud of yourself. Another great kill for the Reaper of Roon." He coughed out. Trying to sit up. His leg and arm echoed pain into his body. His flesh unable to take it´s meant form. Slowly he began to change. Into his true appearance. Something he hadn´t done in a long time. But facing death made him feel the need to die not with a mask obscuring who he really was.

"It doesn´t matter, my dear." He gave her a cynical smile, just as Jovan´s feature´s vanished and his own slim, hawklike face appeared. Slowly at least his leg began to bubble and reform.

"He wins. I loose, he wins. Kill me. Kill Selpha, kill everybody in orbit of Karideph. We´re all dead, Kira Romar. YOU. All he wanted was YOU. From the beginning it was only about YOU." He sat up. "If Selpha would have helped me, if we would have killed you . . . this would have been over. Don´t you understand? He can not control them. But he believes through you he can! He arranged your escape, kept you save from the hunters, made you stay away of the Xenly and gave Cley the order to get is his hundred men slaughtered instead of killing you, because he needs you alive!" Sighing he lay back. Pain still everywhere. The shifting was complete.

He turned to Selpha, now in his true form. "You´ll see. Mandalore. Even if I gave you the location, you can´t reach them. Hyperspace Suppression, remember? Nothing goes in, nothing goes out. But . . ." He grinned. "I don´t have it in my mind. The coordinates were in the Tomb Raider. I have copies of it in my base. But I really can´t remember cooridnates I heard of month ago. Somewhere in the southern planes beneath the Capital, I think." He grinned. "Sorry, Selpha. When you forced me to destroy the Tomb Raider you destroyed the best chance you had to save your people."

Finally he looked back to Romar. "So go ahead, Romar. Kill me. Or you Selpha. It doesn´t matter. Actually in my business I am bound to die a violent death. At least it wasn´t him." The Vulture closed his eyes. "I am tired, Romar. Tired of wearing all these faces. Tired of all this webs of lies. All this treachery. I can turst noone naymore. Can go nowhere. You do me a favour. Go ahead, kill me." His eyes snapped open again and he awaited the two woman to decide his faith.

It was painfully clear he had been defeated. Not by these two. No, by Hoole. The ancient Dark Jedi had known Romar wouldn´t be stopped so easy. The Vulture had found out to late what it was his ancient rival was after.
