Alleys
The policemen widened their eyes in fear, as the raging . . . Jedi . . . came their way. But at least their leader kept a cool head. He was trained to protect. No matter against whom. Raising his blaster, putting it to stun he fell to the ground and gave two shots at the approaching man.
That wasn´t
Ratep Sentarin
´s greatest problem, even though the stun shots were well placed. Right behind him a fragile but elegant figure dropped to the alley´s ground. "Zentratine!" The female voice hissed. A scared woman with a half burned face stood there and grinned. In her hand a powered lance activated.

The Cantina
Rictor Catain
turned and grinned. The grin of unbound anticipation. He was looking forward to it. "Jedai." He said and people began fleeing the Cantina. Behind Catain the fire danced, created forms and seemed to have a life of it´s own. It was a force-power never before witnessed by
Hespar Kessler
.
Throwing away his short blade the man finally drew a cylindrical object from his belt. "I killed one this week. A second . . . that is too sweet. Mygod is gracious to me." Rictor hissed and the green blade of Master Zey´s lightsaber snap-hissed into existence.
Without another word the man leaped into the air and turned there, only to direct his blade right at Hespar Kessler´s heart as he came odwn. Untrained with a lightblade Rictor Catain made best use of his great knowledge of fighting and killing itself.

The Xenly
still raged, tried to probe his mind, make it´s way into it. It needed all his will to keep them out now. Nodding he cut off the holo transmission.
Kira Romar
would eventually come to him. he had seen it. In every possible future their confrontation was taking place. They were meant to meet again. And he would triumph.
He had killed all his enemies. Even their ancestors had never had peace, as long as he was active. Brandl. Yes, he would never forget
Brandl
. His grandson and great-grandson. On this planet far away. Trulalis. Never heard of it again. Only ahses remained. He remembered. It had been him.
The
Brandl-Protectorate
went down in a rain of fire. The mighty Aggressor unleashed the full fury of a Super Star Destroyer on the small planet Trularis and the fleet that had accompanied their flagship joined the bombardment. The cities of the planet were bathed in fire. And in the center of Oriat, Trulalis Capital, he faced the last of the Brandl´s. It was the year five after the destruction of the first Death Str above Yavin. And Hoole had returned to the galaxy.
"Who are you? Is this your doing?" The young man screamed at him. Hoole did not reply. Igniting his red blade he stepped through the fire as if it could not hurt him any longer. Jaalib Brandl, unknowing descendant of the once legendary Jedi raised his own blade. Orange and bristling. Next to him a huge chunk of debris fell to the ground and tears still ran from his eyes, as he raised from his knees. "You will die for this!" He hissed and charged for Hoole.
The ancient Dark Jedi did not act with any haste. Letting the younger man do the running he took his hilt with both hands and prepared. The first strike came from above. He blocked it. Then turned and blocked the next two. Skilled, powerful, performed with great precision the young Brandl attacked Hoole with a series of strikes. Hoole dived the last blow and send a wave of energy against the boy. He was taken from his feet and slammed into the nearby buidling. Which was already burning. Easy. Too easy.
"I don´t think so." Hoole replied and slowly followed the boy. Pushing leftovers of the wall to the side he stepped into the buidling as another salvo from above hit nearby. The impact had parts of the ceiling collapse. Bandl, still on the ground rolled away just in time. And as he jumped up, he found himself no time to understand.
Hoole was already there, sending his first attack against the boy. Simple, presices strikes, probing the boys defense.
"WHY? WHY? HAVE WE HUNTED YOU ONCE? KILLED A LOVED ONE? WHY DO YOU DO THIS?" Jaalib screamed over the noise. Now finding enough stand to unleash an own attack. Two strikes for Hoole´s head. He parried both and pushed the boys blade to the side. Jaalib stumbled, shieled his face as another part of the building collapsed. And as he opened his eyes, ready to defend himself his hands were severed by a swift strike of Hoole.
"No. It is . . . a long story." Hoole only said and watched the fearful eyes of the boy as he dropped to his knees. Waiting for a second until he was absolutley sure that the father of the boy would feel his death he whired his lightsaber around. Then beheaded the young Dark Jedi in a single swift move. Holding his lightsaber in reverse grip.
Stepping out of the ruins of the building the city was now trembling under heavy turbo-laser fire. Adalric Cessius Brandl, former Inquisitor of the Emperor and leader of The Protectorate stood in the middle of the street. Tears floating over his face.
"A life of evil is bound to end in hell, isn´t it? For every evil act I can only suffer a moment, for not enough suffering exists to redeem all my wrongs. And so we stand here, face to face and one us is called death. While the other´s name shall be spoken by his last breath!" He screamed out.T hen added in an even more serious, personal tone. "And what is hell if not loosing all you need to life and be left to suffer, still." The dark man, his hair now open, ignited his golden blade. And slowly moved towards Hoole who had not said a single word. "Alderaanian Plays. Third one, last act!" He shouted and leaped forward, attacking Hoole. "I know," The Weequay replied. And met the mans blade. It was slower, less powerful than Jaalib´s attack. Not worthy of a Brandl. The man did not wished to life anymore. He was not meant to.
Hoole parried the first attack, raising his lightsaber above his heads every now and then to bring himself into a new position. Around them explosions and fire illuminated the duel. The technique of the former Inquisitor was impressive, but the will to win was gone. Hoole slashed out, probing his defense and then began to attack faster. And faster. The high stance making his attacks like ravenous birds picking at Adalric Brandl. The Inquisitor tumbled back, defending himself with his skillful but simple style. Hoole followed him. Patiently attacking. Then out of nowhere he felt the urgent presence of danger. And from the side a stone smashed into his face. Hurled by invisible hands. By Brandl. By the force. The golden blade came down on the collapsing Hoole in a wide angle. He brought up his blade and behind his head. Blocking it in the last second. Brandl´s face now a grimace of hatred. "For Jaalib." He hissed. Revenge. Had brought back his will to kill. But not the will to survive. Hoole stared at Brandl. His obsidian eyes showing only darkness. And Adalric Brandl turned himself, bringing his blade from Hoole´s back into a precise strike at his chest. It never reached Hoole. Deactivating his blade he hurled his own arm around and ignited the blood-red weapon in exactly the moment it met Adlric Brandl´s arm. Severing it and cutting through the man´s chest. The golden blade stopped it´s deadly course and flew aimless into the fire next to them. Hoole raised to his feet, just as Brandl collapsed to his knees. Much like his son. But this time no further strike was needed. The riposte of Hoole had cut through the former Inquisitor´s lungs. A last attempt to breath, then he smiled. "And the curtain falls. Exit." He hissed. And Hoole looked down on him, as he died. Vanished into the chaos of the Dark Side.
He had killed the last Brandl. The last he had found. That Jaalib had fathered a son he would only learn many, many years later.
Turning around he vanished again. Never contacting his imperial allies after that day. Returning to the realm of legend. Ad to his only friend. Xenly.
Hoole sighed and sat down. His armor on the other side of the room. As well as his lightsaber. "Azura? Leave." He hissed. Realizing his bodyguard could see his weakness.
Eloa Lan.
He wondered where she was. If she was playing her role in all this.

133 ABY - The Dark Odyssey
Melmot
Shuttle above Karideph
"You are a friend Melmot. We wait to hear where we may dispense our wrath and how."
Kiar
addressed him. And
Melmot
stared at him for a long moment. Friends. He did not thought he had any. Actually he might not even be able to have any. Anymore. But he understood what Kiar meant. He was their last resort. They were depserate. Like him. Broken. Like him.
"Kiar . . . I have no Master plan. No fail-safe way to stop this. The only thing I have is some knowledge about the plans of our enemy. And about Xenly."
Melmot sighed. He had just broken all laws of the Sith. Well, he was no Sith, was he? Sith did not try to save the galaxy.
"I know you think Yarong is some kind of god. But that isn´t really true. If there was a god his name was Xenly. And he died. The Xenly, or Yarong as you call them are his body. In many ways. It what remained of him. Xenly is not intelligent. He once was. Very much so. But when he died only his instincts, emotions and needs stayed in the collective mind of his extensions. That´s what the Xenly were. Not a hive. They were like arms or finger to him." Melmot
described what he himself had only leanred from writings and Hoole´s explanations.
"The reason why you haven´t idenified their original host, Uhl, Kiar is because you probably haven´t cared enough about him to ever research him. You checked Verpine´s? Surely. Xenly are pretty similar to them. But not exactly their origins. Xenly are drones. If Verpines need workers they produce drones. Mindless slaves connected to their mental network. All Xenly are drones of the Dark Jedi called Xenly. Corrupted. Twisted. Turned into killing machines. But mindless in many ways. They cannot fly spaceships. They cannot use weapons. They spread because they were ordered to, before their master died. But they cannot colonize. They cannot plant food. Or keep herds. Leave them alone and they´ll die, once no hatred is around anymore they can feed on. It is impossible to kill them all, but I think we do not have to."
Melmot sighed. Looking at Kiar and then Uhl.
"Someone is spreading them. Preparing ships, producing droids to fly them, giving cooridnates into the computer, selecting planets. This someone is Hoole. He isbehind this planet´s invasion. Maybe even your Prophetess is part of his plans. He hates the Vong for reasons I don´t know. Maybe she is his revenge. But even Hoole . . . a powerful force-user. Really, really powerful . . . cannot control Xenly. He can spread him. But he cannot control him. Them. Therefore he searched for a way to enslave them once more. To replace Xenly, the original host or conncet himself to them, like Xenly did. He failed. Everytime. Now he know how. He hasn´t shared it with me, but he knows. And all of this. ALL of THIS. Is part of his plan."
Melmot sighed again and chuckled. He turned cold. The poison. The poison was still there.
"I want to ruin his plan by destryoing what he needs most for it. What he has seeked for years now. And then we´ll kill him. And kill the Prophetess. And nobody will be left to guide the Xenly. Well let them rot in the dark they seek so much."
Melmot sighed.
"So, is this a plan worthy of your participation, friend?"
He asked and forced himself to smile. Without his nose probably a sinister sight.

Kira Kara Romar
Karideph, Museum
She stared down at the
Vulture
, slowly spilling the fuel on him. He was probably right. But that wasn´t what the force had shown her. Her death would come, but if she ided now . . .
"Taking control from him, won´t make him spread these things. Even if it makes no sense to do so, he can´t stop it anymore. You don´t understand the nature of the Dark Side, Vulture. It won´t stop. Not now, that we are all so . . . broken."
She sighed. Turning to the pit behind her. She could feel them coming.
"Selpha, we must go. They are coming."
Kira sighed. Then returning her gaze to the Vulture a last time.
"Where is he?"
She asked, her lightsaber at the mans throat.
"Where can I find him?"
Her eyes went cold. The force hadn´t left her. She had stopped fighting, but the force was still there. Powerful. Floating. Connecting her. Expanding her into every rock, molecule, every feeling and soul. She felt so . . . strong. Yet, in a dark place like this, where even Selpha fought to control her anger . . . how could it be?
You know, Kira. You know.
She shok her head. Touching Selpha´s shoulder she poured the force into it. Drainng the pain out of her allies body. It was simple. Suddenly.
It is not darkness.
She replied herself.
Sure?
Zorn laughed in her head.

It was a glorious sight to see that grin, simply beautiful without it's ugly protuberances of a humans face. Though the words were sour they were palatable to both a shaper's and a warrior's soul.
"Then may we die with our enemies hearts in our hands! Let their minions rot where they stand, as we are accepted into glory!"

Above Karideph
The plan had been simple. And the Vong were with him. Smiling at the reply of the Vong he looked down to the surface and punched in the code. The hardest part was now coming.
Killing her.
"Hoole is convinced he can control the Xenly . . . Yarong as you call him . . . through a woman. A young woman, I accidentially know. She is a former Jedi and we must be very careful. She is dangerous. Very dangerous. And he has lured her into a trap here, so he can get her."
Melmot
entered atmosphere and looked at both his allies.
"The lightsabers I gave you might be useful, but beware, she is a Master of the blade. Only together we can kill her. Her name is
Kira Romar
."
Melmot added and bit his lip.
He had respected her. Her dedication. Her power. Her determination over Roon. She wpuld have been a good Sith, but had denied them. She was no good Jedi, he assumed. But she was a great warrior. Something he had once felt very attractive. He actually had a crush on her in the dark days of Roon. He would never have expected to kill her one day.
Well, you came a long, long way,
Melmot
. Haven´t you?
"She will expect me to kill her, so I´ll idstract her. You Kiar and Uhl . . ."
He coughed. The poison. Still there.
"You will give her the killing blow then!"

He nodded immediately at Melmot and set back to the controls with Uhl to take them down to their target. But it raised an interesting question, were they killing an infant god in this Romar if she could control the Yarong, or possibly the best chance at salvation if she was such a good warrior and a Jedai?
For he still held Jedai in a higher place from having fought side by side with two before, could not this Romar take control and set the body of Yarong against itself so that none remained? Sacrificing herself in the process to end it much as this Xenly had lost his life to start it? Might not a Jedai perform such an act, might not one do such a thing for the galaxy, for life...for Yuuzhan-Vong and Zenoma Sekot?
Killing Hoole, killing the Prophetess, killing those in their way was no problem to him. But to kill one because she possessed the ability to control Yarong, just to keep her out of others hands...that tugged slightly at his honor, at his tattered heart. Once more he was glad he was not one who had melded with the force as had so many Vong after Zenom Sekot, since he had stayed in the colonies.
It made the future more interesting this change of missions, more interesting indeed.

Ratep Sentarin, 124 ABY
alley, Travnin
One of the cops coward down - back. The other stood still, and Ratep was ready to deflect the shots... and they were stun shots. Of course they would be. Why would they be anything that a lightsaber could deflect?
Ratep, anticipating blaster bolts but getting something more troublesome, was caught off guard and quickly tried to dodge. He spun off to his right, holding his saber in front of him out of habit and just in case something else came his way.
But this surprise happened all so quickly, too quick for him to fully counter. Half way through his spin he saw the first bolt edge by. As he completed his spin, he saw the second one and barely had enough time to raise his arms to make sure that at least one could still use a lightsaber. He felt it, smashing into his right side at the lower part of his ribcage. The pain brought him to a stumble.
The knight found himself in a partly double overed state, and it took him a second to realize that he was screaming. He clenched his teeth hard, and he looked back up at the policemen, his lightsaber raised again, pain and anger strewn across his face, when something behind them caught his attention.
A female with a disfigured face. She shouted something that Ratep didn't understand. But he did understand her powered lance being activated.
Is this her? The Jedi killer? Maybe if Ratep let her live, he'd find out.
Keeping his saber still in front of him, this time in a guard position, he shouted out to the policemen. "Not me, you idiots! Her!" And with the final word, he thrusted out his left hand to push the female away, trying to channel as much of the intensity of his pain into his Force push.

Hespar Kessler, 124 ABY
Cantina
He faced
Master Zey
´s killer. The shock lasted only for a second, but it was there. A man that had overcome a fully trained Jedi Master. And he was only a Padawan. Bringing his own blade up he blocked the incoming stab to his heart, directing it into the ground, while rolling away in the last second. As the concrete exploded he came back to his feet and charged forward. Tackling the attacker he pushed him into a table and slashed down. But his enemy wasn´t there anymore. The metal furniture was sliced into two. Glowing marks of the lightsabers strike remaining.
"Dammit." Hespar Kessler
hissed and brought his lightsaber to his back. Just in time, as the plasma-blade of the Killer had went straight for his neck.
"Who are you?"
Hespar repeated his question and leaped back, now defending against the attacks of the man. He used the lightsaber like a sword. Not trained in the art of the Jedi weapon.
No Sith.
But he was a warrior, for many more years than Hespar himself.

Glave
nodded. "Sewers, 800." He pointed to the possible exit form himself and
U´tek
. Obviously the Empire had been here long enough to prepare. "It´s better than the gates. Less Sith." He added and they saw the laughing Darth Regentis lifting another guard from the ground and crushing his bones, while reflecting blasters without even looking. For the Sith this seemed to be a party.
Glave´s face showed his disgust, as he lead the way. Killing another two guards who came to save their high-priest. Thirty seconds, amidst running people they reached a sealed sewer entrance. A single hit with the blaster-rifle and it opened, an they dragged their hostage, now silent and fearful in the Cathar´s grip, into it.
Glave closed the entrance and turned to the Cathar. Breathing heavy. The Empire´s treatment of traitors surely hadn´t turned out to be any nicer since the Sith took over. Looking up to U´tek he then looked down on
Lornok
. "So far, so good." His smile lacked any humor.

lay beneath the two woman. Bathed in fuel. Pain in every inch of his body.
Selpha
tough felt the pain-relieving warmth of
Romar
´s touch. Even someone not trained in the force could feel the sudden surge in power Romar had gotten. As if she had turned into something else. She seemed to glow with power.
Before a further word could be said, or the two woman could have began to flee from the approaching
Xenly
there world turned into noise, dust and fire. One of two standing walls suddenly exploded and the sound of ignited jetpacks was everywhere. The Black Lance attacked. And this time, they brought in all they had. Repeating blasters spread green energy into the room and stun grenades rolled to the floor. A second hole was burned into the the wall to their left. Soon from there they would come, too. And beneath them the Xenly raged towards their position.
HUNGER. HUNGER. DEVOUR. ROMAR. ROMAR. ROMAR.
Their scream echoing powerful into the force.
Full body armor of Black Lance soldiers
Above this scenery
Uhl
had brought the ship into position. "Somebody had the same idea as you, friend Melmot." He remarked to
Melmot
. When he used the last words looking at
Kiar
. He would follow the Shaper, if he had to into death. Yet he did not trust a Siath. Trust was hard to come by these days anyway.
Looking down again they saw rocket-packs igniting and dozens of Black Lance troopers in their signature armor jump from their ships into the museum. A level above the actual fighting a third ship docked to the museum. Troops poured out of it. "I can land near them, but . . ." uhl never ended his sentence, as suddenly their ship rocked. An explosion. "Fighters!" Uhl shouted. And a second explosion made all lights inside their shuttle turn red.
They were going down. The confusion of the crash at least spared them the inability of the sensors to count the lifeforms inside the museum. When the sensors went out it had 1.456.786 million creatures in and around the museum and was still counting.
Yarong
surely had superior numbers.

IC: Tenk Qatar
Pergitor, Forum
Tenk found what he wanted on the
Hunter's
belt: two thermal detonators. He didn't exactly like what he was about to do, especially since he was pretty much borrowing this trick from a certain Sith, but he grimly armed the detonators with some help from the Force. And then he immediately leaped away, shutting off his lightsaber as the Force gave him some assistance with his leap. Whether the Hunter had noticed or not that his own detonators were being used against them didn't matter as twin booms of thunder echoed across the Forum as they detonated. And within the fire and noise, Tenk felt a life vanish.
Landing back on his feet, the Jedi suddenly grimaced, one arm instinctively coming around his waist as pain once again flashed into existence from his broken ribs. Was reminding him a lot of his tour of duty near the end of the war when it came to pain. Break some ribs, lose an eye, all within two missions. And with the start of his participation with this rebellion he got stabbed in the chest with a lightsaber and broke some more ribs. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to rejoin this war...
Now having some time to get his bearings, Tenk clipped his lightsaber back to its usual place while sticking the blaster pistol he acquired into his belt. Making sure that he was indeed clear, he stretched out his senses. Now that he wasn't in the middle of a battle it was much easier to reach out with the Force, to try and find a reading on the others. There was still plenty of chaos within the Forum and he could easily detect a dark presence that could only be
Regentis
. That wasn't who he was concerned with however and as Tenk continued to search he managed to detect
U'tek
not too far away. He should probably start heading that way, regroup with the cathar and find a way out.
But what of
Talia
? Though he now moved in the direction of U'tek, trying to avoid the chaos that gripped the center of the Forum, Tenk sought for his wife. He stretched out his senses to the max, drawing what he could upon their bond, and searched. She had to still be here. More importantly, she had to still be alive.

IC: Selpha Nephrite
Karideph, Museum
"Listen Selpha, this doesn´t have to be your end. Hand me over Romar and I´ll evacuate you and you are free to go."
She had nothing to say to
Cley
, wouldn't even give him the acknowledgment that he even existed right now. Now that she knew the depths of his betrayal and his madness. She just shut off her comms instead of making a reply.
Southern planes. Beneath the Capital. That was enough for her. As soon as she managed to return home she would find Kayl or any of the other Nephrites to try and get a search going with the other Mandalorians. It shouldn't be hard to locate an old facility, especially one for weapon research. There would be rumors and leads abound that can be used for such a place. Selpha would even pay a Jedi for their services if she could locate one. Hell, why not
Romar
? Her contract with the Vulture was effectively null and void since she decided not to shoot Romar in the back so in the Mandalorian's mind the Jedi owed her.
The
Vulture
may be right about her best lead being destroyed, but it wasn't her only one.
She was only half-listening to the chat between Romar and the Vulture, too occupied with her own thoughts of how she could get back and save her homeworld. Something about
Hoole
after Romar, the Jedi being able to control the
Xenly
, if Selpha only killed Romar, blah blah blah. Loading her PK02, Selpha stuck it back in her holster before she looked up at Romar, the Jedi having approached her.
"Careful," she told the Jedi as the other woman placed a hand on her recently relocated shoulder. "Cley's here by the way. Probably here for another try...with...you..."
Selpha's voice trailed off as she felt it. The power. Power indeed but it was...warm. And it was this warmth that seemed to pour into her, focusing on her pain and taking it away from her. This...was the Force was it?
When Romar removed her hand Selpha turned to look at her shoulder. Rolling it back and forth, stretching out her arm, she couldn't help but let out a surprised grunt of pleasure when she felt no pain. This was...different. She had experienced such things before, when her mother would use the Force to help calm and sooth her after a hard day of training, of easing the sore limbs and treating the pain of the bruises. Still a child back then, having no understanding except distrust of the Force, Selpha had been unwilling to let her mother do anything further to help her...especially not something of this level.
No longer as pained as she was before, Selpha carefully moved back up on her feet. The dizziness that had plagued her before had vanished as well, making it easier to stand up straight. Slowly, Selpha turned her head towards Romar, her T-shaped visor focused on the Jedi. Maybe it wouldn't just be a man hunt for the Xenly that Selpha could hire Romar for...
There was no time to partake in negotiations for such a contract, however. One of the walls to the museum suddenly exploded, marking the entry of the Black Lancers. Acting out of instinct Selpha dived and rolled, ducking behind the same marble pillar that she had been slammed against during the fight with the Vulture while she clutched her Nari. As the Black Lancers flew through with their jetpacks, Selpha brought up her carbine and fired off round after round as she tried to shoot them down.
Another explosion hinted to another wall going down. Without thinking Selpha spun against the pillar, peeking around the other side of it while her free hand went for her Iviin. She brought up the weapon towards the new entrance, ready to give the reinforcements a wall of slugs to run into. They were going to have to watch out for this attack. Cley was no doubt stinging from the last encounter, meaning that he brought some more men. And with the Xenly in close proximity...it was probably going to be a standard reliance on numbers to overwhelm her and Romar.
With her Iviin held in one hand, Selpha released her Nari, letting the carbine hang from its sling before her now free hand dropped to her belt. Retrieving a rifle grenade, Selpha used her one hand to push the grenade into the barrel of the carbine. She had a feeling that she was going to need it in a bit.

The explosion ripped the walls apart. Energy and anger floating the remains of the ruined hall. Both her blades, the bright blue of Selpha and the pale one of her own construction ignited as if they had a life of their own.
They are all here because of you, Kira. All here because of you.
Leaping into cover shots ripped apart the concrete pillars, as she shielded her face with her arm, still holding both ignited blades. The other wall began to melt. They would soon have surrounded them.
"Selpha! Stairs!"
She shouted and the raging Xenly seemed to become only faster, as the hostilities had again begun. All for walls were now gone, meant only the pillars kept this level from collapsing.
She rolled out of cover and send her own blade flying. The force obeyed her command with an unnatural ease. The blade became like a predator at her command. Finding four men, slicing through them, one by one and returning to to her. While she withdrew backwards, shielding
Selpha
and herself with the second blade while making her way to the stairs.
Where is the Vulture?
She had lost him. It did not matter. The Xenly would soon be here and nothing would matter then. They had no chance to keep their masses away for long. The Black Lance needed her badly, obviously. Their leader had surely sacrificed all men to the dark masses of Xenly.
"They´re coming, faster!"
Kira shouted and finally turned to run up the stairs.

"Selpha! Stairs!"
Sliding the rifle grenade home into the carbine, Selpha looked up at
Romar
and then towards the mentioned stairs. Moving was the best option at the moment; they stay in one place and sooner or later they were going to get surrounded and overwhelmed by numbers. But where were they going to be moving to? The
Tomb Raider
, if the
Vulture
had been telling the truth, was gone, and thus they had no way of getting off the planet nonetheless the museum. The Black Lancers no doubt had their own ships but trying to steal one...eh...that was going to be tricky.
Best follow the Jedi for now. Breaking away from the pillar, Selpha ran after Romar while she armed the grenade within the carbine. Best get some distance between them and this would offer a little bit.
As the Mandalorian kept behind the Jedi who was deflecting blaster bolts and whatnot with her lightsabers, Selpha had noted that the Vulture had managed to disappear during the Black Lancers arrival. Tricky, considering that he had lost a few limbs. Couldn't worry about him now unfortunately though Selpha wished that she had shot him when she had the chance. Though he had done very well against body shots, she wondered if he would've survived a beskar slug to the head.
The Lancers died to the shots that Selpha fired at least. Wherever direction Romar wasn't deflecting bolts, Selpha fired a steady stream of slugs from her Iviin towards their attackers. It was only when they got to the stairs did Selpha bring up her carbine, firing off the rifle grenade behind Romar to not only blow up a few Lancers but slow them down as well. Continuing after Romar, the Mandalorian started reloading. Hopefully they would find a way out of here before she ran out of bullets.

Melmot
Karideph . . . coming closer . . .
He clenched his fists around the seat and breathed in, as the shuttle, hit twice by a
Basilik
-Class Fighter, went down. They had been above the museum and were lucky enough to land on it, but the crash could still kill ´em in at least a dozen ways. A second before they landed Melmot, shielding his eyes extended his hand, screamed and a burst of force shattered their window, so it wouldn´t explode into their faces. Then the impact came. And the world went black.
"Aaargh!"
He awoke and the Xenly were in his mind, as dangerous as the poison in his veins. His mouth tasted like blood. His body felt like dead. He ripped his security-belt from him and checked
Kiar
and
Uhl
.
"Everybody alive?"
He hissed and looked around.
"We need to get out of here. Black Lance will be here soon. Hoole´s men."
He sighed and ignited his lightsaber, beginning to cut a path through the hull.

The Vulture
Karideph, Museum or what´s left of it
He had changed. and through that he knew he was bound to his new form. For quite some time at least. He survived, once more. Even though he had lost mass. Precious mass. He would never recover. Or within´ the years probably some.
The battle raged around him. The fight for the galaxies future. And now it was Hoole who made his move. Through the
Xenly
, through his men. Through the force, probably. This strange power he could not estimate or evaluate.
For
The Vulture
it was too late. He was now solid and immovable. Heavy and cold.
He was a rock. One amongst many and steps ran over him. While he lay there, to outlive whoever was here. When would he find the strength to return to another form. Soon? No, but probably in time. Probably before it was too late.
He was the Vulture. He would survive. He always had. Always.
Yet, what good was in survival, if all your plans had failed.
He was the Vulture.
He would not forget who brought this upon him.
The Vulture.
Tired.
Sleep.
For a while . . .
Tag: Nobody, really
ooc: even though I must say I hoped he would have a better run, I enjoyed it a great deal to reprise him, once more. In English. Who would have thought that? SirakRomar, Sarge221, it were some great scenes we played there. Thank you.
And thanks Fin for having me again. Robbie would be very proud of this game. Very proud, I am sure.
I´ll lurk the endgame. Be assured. Good luck to you all. I feel no happy end come from this.
And The Vulture will return. In one form or another. I promise.

ooc: Thanks TGI! For the support, ideas and strategies you provided even before joining especially. I must say I found it hard to get "into the Vulture" and for the plot as a whole it was a great advantage to have you around.
For all who haven´t known, TGI was for over a month an "invisible" player. Like LordT was for Imperi for a while. Telling me what he did and what actions were arranged, while not posting at all IC. It made my job a lot easier, but actually also a lot better!
And thanks for your warm words. To live up to Robert´s legacy is a constant concern of mine. Robert would have loved your reveal, too. Understatement. If I ever need a diabolic smuggler-king again, you´ll be the one, my friend!

Music - Still time
The Hunter
, now sure of his victory, which seemed not unlikely stomped towards
Tenk
again. His retractable blades whirling around. As the beeping sound on his belt alarmed him.
Tenk Qatar
ducked way just in time to escape the explosion. Blasting the armored torso of the Hunter into a thousand pieces.
Turning around he felt
U´tek
and made his way there. Only to be shocked as he reached into the force. Talia. He felt, fear, concern and . . . death.
Talia
prepared to die. And suddenly he could locate the Xenly. Shrouded by the Dark Side, he could feel them near her. He never was able to decide what to do about it, as his doubted and fears opened another danger. His senses dimmed, his grip on perception seemed to slip.
Some years ago this effect had shocked him, but by now the Jedi new what this was. The so called "waves of darkness" were one of the Sith´s favoured weapons. And so it was less of a surprise as Tenk was lifted into the air and slammed into the wall next to him. Painful but without being hurt.
Stepping out of a cauldron of sliced bodies
Darth Regentis
and his hissing red blade neared him slowly. "Still time to give up, Tenk Qatar. Your order has failed. Your ways are gone. If you want to save Talia, I am all you got." The Sith Lord grinned and his fist closed inside his exoskeleton. Raising debris from all around him.
Talia screamed in fear. So loud, even the power of the Sith could no longer cloud it.

Underground
Music - Vexedo and plans not really working
"Where is the welcome-committee?"
Vexedo
asked nervous and his men spread, he himself taking the tied up Talia by her arm.
Talia
´s gamble had worked. She obviously was in the center of the Church´s operation. A factory underground, build into the remains of an underground city. Droids of unknown build, lacking legs and having four arms were hanging from above. And ships, lots of ships were on the assembly lines around her. Most of them were
YT-2200
transports. Like the one they found on the
Ascendancy
. Obviously the droids were installed into the ships here. How many sips was hard to say, but she guessed what she saw here were only the dozen or so that remained when the operation was shut down.
And shut down it was. No sign of living, working or energy anywhere near. Dead machines, populating a dead city. Yet, something moved and lurked. Vexedo could feel it and so could she. "Is it here where they build the transports? To spread their weapon like the ultimate contagion?" Talia asked. Vexedo smiled. "Smart girl." He returned. Then looked around again. Then he seemed to realize something. Taking her, he dragged her through the huge complex. They finally arrived at something that appeared to be a giant hole in the ground. Entrance to a cave of enormous size. Above it was an energy-ring humming found the energy charged into it. But no field of energy came from it. What had once sealed the cave was now obviously deactivated.
"No, no, no." Vexedo hissed. Looking around. "Tell me they haven´t kept them here." Talia only said with eyes opened. Vexedo turned his head, stopping to look around in panic and nodded to her. "How many?" She asked. Vexedo looked into the caves beneath. "I don´t know. Many. Thousands, hundreds of thousands." He hissed. And checked the surrounding buildings. The city was dead and dark. No light to illuminate the surrounding. Talia bit his lip and looked around, too. "Untie me, you´ll need . . ." Vexedo silenced her by hitting her face. She went down.
"So you can tell everybody I had my hand in this? I don´t think so." He hissed and pointed his blaster into her face. His finger above his trigger. "You´ve been pretty useful, Talia. A shame you haven´t . . . aaaargh!" This time he did not end his sentence, as two stings rammed through his chest-plate. Another two ripped his legs apart and he collapsed. Talia stared at the two Xenly in fear as they killed Vexedo with greatest precision. Then turning slowly to her. Their sting-like claws raised. Their whispers in unknown tongues in Talia´s head. She reacted out of instinct, kicking into it´s body and sending it above the edge of the cave into the dark. Screaming it fell into the dark. The second, still hacking into Vexedo´s dead body, screamed up and turned it´s head. Or what was most likely his head. But Talia was on her feet, rolling forwards she dragged her tied hands from under her legs and grabbed Vexedo´s blaster. The Xenly charged, fueled by her fear towards her and a scream of fear escaped the depth of Talia´s soul, as she hit the trigger. The first shot hit the creature in the torso and did not even slow it down, the second it´s leg and only the third and forth into it´s head killed it. Kneeling there, she pointed her blaster into the dark. She heard the sounds. Of many, many more. Angry and hungry. Released from their prison.
"Move, Talia. MOVE!" She hissed. Needed another second. Then her body began to work again. Grabbed another energy-pack of the remains of what must have once been Vexedo and turned. Her athletic body tensed, her muscles screamed and all her body trembled with fear, as she began to run, run unlike she ever had run before. Xenly behind her. Many of them.

Karideph
Above Pryson, The Infinity
Music - Infinite Thoughts
Xaven Oberone, High Priest of the Church of Infinite Thoughts
sighed heavy-hearted. His hood, against his usual habits drawn deep into his head, he had his five most trusted advises gathered in the room.
"Our people have failed us. But our faith and enlightenment has overcome the limitations of fellowship and worship. Infinity has no worshippers, as infinity reaches beyond life itself. My friends, I hearby declare our last great gift to the galaxy has been unleashed." He spread his arms. Behind him a giant holography appeared, obviously showing a raging space-battle as swarms of
Predator
-class fighters and a single
Arset
-class frigate attack the HSS-Station above Karideph.
"Soon the Sith will clear the path to the galaxy again. And as our ally has prophesied, they will finalize their undoing. The Xenly await, aboard 8000 ships within´the convoy. Ready to bring their justice to those who enslaved us through magic, ready to bring their justice to those who worshipped the force, instead of the logic and infinity of the thought and universe itself." The other priests kneeled down. An aide disturbed the ceremonial declaration, a he entered. Unnerved Xaven turned to him. "Yes?" He asked.
The aide bowed twice, as he neared the High Priest. "My Lord, bad knew from the planet. Your fellow High Priest Lornok has become a hostage. And the hunter you send after the Jedi is dead." The man said. "A Sith. Sith has been reported." The young man lowered his gaze.
Xaven
smiled. A serene smile.
"My friend, that doesn´t matter. The Church would never ask the galaxy to suffer from a sacrifice that it isn´t ready to bring itself." Xaven Oberone smiled. The young man widened his eyes. Looking up at his High Priest. "That´s madness." He stumbled.
"Infinite madness, my friend. Infinite madness." Xaven Oberone smiled. As one of his advisers appeared behind the young man, grabbing his neck and began to suffocate him in a brutal stranglehold. "I am disappointed by your lack of faith. Yet, you will not be devoured by the Xenly. Isn´t that . . . a relief?" Xaven asked the younger man and the neck of him broke. He watched the body collapse. Long seconds passed. Before he turned back to his advisers. "Get rid of his body on the surface and set a course to Sector 22/7. We will observe the final stages of the operation together with our ally. And then get rid of him." He hissed and turned back to the view-screen. Any moment now. Any moment now the Xenly would reach the domed and doomed cities of Pergitor. Hew would be long enough here to see
Pryson
die. He assumed.

Museum
Music - The Battle of Karideph
The last thing that
Selpha
saw, as she fired her shot was the first Xenly. Leaping up to their level through the hole in the floor and clawing down one of the Lancers. The other mercenaries reacted immediately. In perfect coordination five of them turned and would protect her team. The other pursued the escapees. Some by using their jetpacks to get to the next level, some by running after them. Those who charged were decimated by Selpha´s shots and already a dozen of them were dead. Another explosion ripped apart one of the pillars. Screams of pain filled the floor below.
The two woman made their way up to the stairs, as shots came from above. Repeating blasters and sonic-weapons from the darkness of the stairs. They had taken the upper levels. Romar pushing the door protecting the next level with the force as if it was made of paper was welcomed by a barrage of blaster-fire. They were here, had awaited them. They were everywhere.
Cley Nephrite
had not left anything to chance.
From the left a man with a shock-baton appeared. Pushing the charge to kill, to at least hurt
the Jedi
. Another dropped from above, as he deactivated his jetpack.
Selpha
found herself under heavy fire. Two snipers above. One of them
Commander Zem, Zero - One - One
himself. A shot hit her armor, but it held. It threw her into the wall just as she had left the building, nevertheless. And both snipers began aiming at her again. Trying to kill her by the impacts of their shots.
A few levels above
Melmot
leaped out of the shuttle through the self-made exit and a shot hit the ship right next to him. A dozen Black Lance soldiers, better kown as Lancers, had secured the ceiling ot the huge museum. And a heavy reapeting blaster was just activated pointing his barrel at the exit from which Kiar had just appeared.
"Kill them!" Their
Commander
screamed. And the surprised men, protecting the building from those from below not above, turned and attacked. One of them, the veteran Zero - Eight - Eleven drew his two vibroblades and his jhetpack pushed him over the distance of nine meters rioght into
Uhl and Kiar
. The Shaper screamed a "Watchout!" And dodged the attackers first blow.
