[AU Tatooine] The Desert That Shall Not Be Named
IC: as
Galen Marek/Starkiller
Mos Espa
Galen hit the brakes at the center of the settlement, getting a good look at the settlement. Despite it's small size, one would expect this place to be bustling with activity.
Yet, it was silent. The Force was empty here. Despite all the powerful presences on the planet itself, it was clear that this place was devoid of any life.
He wondered what had happened here, to all those people....his gut wrenched at the thought of something bad, as well as by whom, but he put that to the back of his mind.
Finding nothing else, he casually stepped in to the local eatery. The sign read "Akim's Munch."
Stepping over the counter, seeing as there was no patron, he rummaged through whatever foodstuff he could find. He found a package, labeled in Hutese. He didn;t understand it, so he looked for a label in Basic. It was there, in the fine print. It read, "Nausage".
He shrugged. He had never heard of it. Quite frankly, he probably wouldn't know any sort of food if he was asked. Culinary expertise wasn't exactly a focal point in his childhood.
Using the Force, and with a raise of his hand, one of the "Nausages", which he noticed seemed to be cylindrical in shape, and plump, levitated to his hand, promptly chewing...
...and, just as promptly, spitting it out, an expression of disgust on his face.
"Cold." He sighed. So it appeared it had to be heated. He quickly looked around, for something to accomplish this.
"Everything is in Hutese here," he commented. He was surprised, being his first trip (unwilling or not) to Tatooine.
Finally finding something that said, "Nanowave Stove", he simply turned on a knob, immedeatly feeling a change in temperature.
Getting the idea, he levitated several nausage with the Force, and put them on the stove, landing with a sizzle.
He now took a stool, flipping the food with the Force.
Finally finding a place to reflect, he did so. He thought of Vader, his past with the man, his father and what he remembered of him, the Emperor, the Rebels..
...Juno.
Yet now, his thoughts drifted to the present. He knew Vader and the Emperor were here, that much he did. He also felt numerous others, but he did not know who they were here. How funny that the only people he knew were his two worst enemies, by all accounts.
It couldn't be the present, seeing as he died in such. Just what had brought him back, preventing him from attuning with the Force? He immedeatly discounted Vader. He was too weak to perform something like this.
Could it have been the Emperor? The power in the Dark Side the man had was incredible. It was a wonder how well he fought against him. Some Imperial superweapon? Some new entity?
He tried to piece it together, but it was all in vain. He barely had any information on this at all. The Force gave him no answers as well. It appeared even it did not know.
He sighed, turning off the stove, telekinetically, and brining several nausages to him. He quickly munched on one, still trying to get any idea for whatever the hell was going on.

IC: Siri Tachi
As Daala put the speeder to a stop, Siri saw her smiling, “Good, she’s the same version as last time”, she thought to herself.
"No kidding. It must at least be level seven since Vader just commed, and seems to be as clueless as before, that or else in a rut with the same order's being repeated. So where is Obi-won? Shouldn't you be keeping him on his toes?"
, Daala asked. Siri’s smile faded somewhat. Naturally the mention of Vader wasn’t exactly good news, but it was more the name of Obi-Wan that affected her the most. She still hadn’t seen him or sensed him, and she hoped he was all right.
Trying to lighten her mood, Siri explained, “Vader will be Vader i’m sure... as for Obi-Wan, i’m afraid i haven’t seen him... not the younger version anyways, Ben is around and some of the others too, like Captain Solo AGAIN and Indy”. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Siri continued, “There’s also new people, just as exasperating as Captain Solo, maybe even worse”, she added, thinking of Cade, “So you best be ready”, she added laughing, pointing a finger at Daala. “Where are you off to?”, she asked, “This place is a ghost town”.

Boba Fett
The Cantina
“Since everybody made sure they got scarce, I think he’s probably pretty dangerous,” Mission whispered to Boba and Zaalbar.
“Or do you think it’s us that made them leave? Boba, you’re from here? Are a lot of humans in this place of the kind that looks down on others? We had that in Taris, you know. Everybody who wasn’t human was exiled to the Lower City and not allowed up where you could see the sky and the sun.”
[I don’t care, it’s time to get water, and food] Zaalbar growled. [Without water we will die in this heat. You two keep an eye on him, together with the robot, I’ll go get supplies.]
“Don’t forget we need a med kit,” Mission yelled after him. She drew her own blaster and stepped up beside Boba, eyes on greenhair. “I still think we should look at your head, better not take any risks. So… what can you tell me about this town? Because I'm getting a bad feeling about all this.” [/I]
”I think anyone who might have had answers just left, and no,” The boy spit off to the side without taking his eyes (or the lethal end of his blaster) off the green haired freak grinning like the sabacc face card called The Evil One, “I’m not from here.”
“I’ve got a med keet in my pack,” Boba Fett scrutinized the ‘chicken’ trying to figure out if this crazed figure was
actually
pointing the thing threateningly, “I think we should get what we need and try to follow after the ones who just left.”
IC
HK-47
The Cantina Entrance
“Shall I waste the meat bag, master?” HK-47 stepped forward with blasters drawn, logging away the data he had overheard from the other meat bags.
"Well, it just so happens that we're looking for someone. A kid. Anakin...uh, Skywalker or something like that. Heard of him?"
"Of course sir. I know him quite well-"
Before the droid could continue, Captain Solo's twin interrupted.
“He is a small, round-faced blond boy, about nine or ten years of age.”
He might have been in the company of a lot of Jedi. Would you have seen which way he went?”
Finally Threepio had a chance to speak, "I have not seen Master Anakin, but I had run into Master Luke. He disappeared with another jedi and has not returned I am very familiar with Master Anakin as he was my maker. And Captain Solo, you too have met him. Though I'm afraid you've only known him as Darth Vader."
The sound of blaster fire suddenly rang out.
The rust-colored droid analyzed through his sensors as the heat signature of one of the small meat bags covered in dark fur began to grow cold.
The assassin droid’s small meat bag of a master turned quickly towards the sound of danger (HK-47), wincing visibly as he realized his mistake of turning his back on the meat bag with green hair.
“Statement: Do not look at me, master,” The assassin droid stated with extreme irritation, “Some other entity has taken charge of the population control of the small furry meat bags.”

The huge Bantha made a bison-like sound, and snorted. Deena smiled and glanced around. She kind of felt bad that she left Han and Indy behind... but she did it for a reason. Turning back to the Bantha, Deena asked, "Hey, big guy? Do you sometimes feel that you're always left out in a team?"
The Bantha groaned in response. Deena nodded. "Man, I know how ya feel..." She sat on the ground, placing her back and head on a building's wall. "Great. First, I'm always being treated like a kid in the Rebellion... and now I'm talking to a Bantha. How crazy is that?" The Bantha gave her another lick on the face.
Deena smiled and looked up at the Bantha. Then she replied, "Not crazy at all. At least I have someone to talk to." The Bantha sat down next to her, and let out a big sigh.
"Looks like you don't have anyone, big guy. Seeing that you don't have anything on you. I know! I'll give you a name. I'll call you... Ronin."
The Bantha, now named Ronin, made a happy bison-like noise. Deena smiled as well. But now she was thinking about Han and the others...

In the strangeness that had overtaken her, the sudden change in locations, the first thing she saw was her former Master. All decorum deserted her, and she hugged him tightly, still reeling with confusion, but glad of at least a familiar face.
"My clones turned on me," she said, still stunned. "They were firing, I was turning to face them, and then I was here..." A dreadful realisation struck her. "Barriss, the others on Felucia! And..." she hadn't realised what the Force had told her. "Kit is..." Her friend. Kit Fisto. Could the Force have been telling her of his death?
She had not yet seen Dooku, who had discreetly stepped behind the wall to give Vos time to explain to the stunned Twi'lek.

You got it, minch. He's been frozen in the carbonite for quite a while by the time he got sent here.
IC: Han Solo
Streets, Mos Eisley, Tatooine
Han frowned and ignored Threepio's rambling about knowing this Skywalker kid as Vader. The last thing he needed was to be reminded of the events that led up to his capture on Bespin. It wasn't exactly his best moment and instead, decided to focus on the only good news the droid managed to share - well, sort of. "Wait, Luke disappeared?" he exclaimed, shoving the droid ahead until they were leaning up against an abandoned landspeeder. "Where? Where was he?" It was probably next to impossible to find someone missing out there in the sand dunes, but the kid was like a little brother to him. If he managed to find him out there on the snow plains of Hoth, there was a good chance they could track him down in the desert.
A low whine issued from somewhere behind them followed by the distinct sound of a blaster being fired. There was a sickening crack as the bolt connected with bone before a splattering of blood coated everything near by in a mess of red. Without hesitation, Han whirled away from the droid and hit the sand, taking up a defensive position behind the speeder with his borrowed blaster already in hand and ready to fire.
"Get down!" he shouted to the others as his eyes frantically searched the area for their assailant. Only then did he spot the victim that decided to spray his guts on anyone unlucky enough to be standing right next to him - one of the teddy bear creatures. It wasn't exactly a major loss, but if the gunman got another clear shot, one of them could be next. Inching forward to get a better look, Han dared to poke his head around the side of the speeder to continue the search.

Her heart jumped in her throat at the mention of Indy, which when combined with the sinking sensation from the mention of
another
Han Solo was quite a leap.
Although Siri was trying to put on a good front she could easily tell from her words that something was bothering her, Vader wasn't a first and as she made light of him she doubted Siri was downed by that. No it had to be Obi-won...her love even if idiotic principles prevented her from saying the words or admitting the flame between them.
"Off to? Well I thought I'ld hit the local market, buy a couple Sun Crushers, and see if there was a sale on gourds." She attempted to help in lightening the air, not an easy feat when one was in such intensely hot air but it had to be tried.
"But since you're here, we could go cruising and maybe surprise a guys. Which way's Indy?" She asked standing slightly in her seat and glancing around as if he might materialize out of a mirage.

: Ewokarnage! Yippee!
I just wanted to say I understand the reasons some people may have for wanting to leave. That's alright. This is a very experimental RPG. Very, uh... "art-house."
I'm extremely laissez-faire when it comes to letting people add on new characters, or re-start, or erase parts in storylines, etc....
As always, people are still welcome to join, keep on adding new characters, get rid of ones they can't get into, etc...

Siri could tell Daala's heart jumped at the mention of Indy and Han, but she didnt say anything. She wondered though, if anything had in fact happened between her and one of them last time around. Siri hoped to the Force it hadnt been Solo, althought that would be funny, just so she could annoy him endlessly with it.
"Off to? Well I thought I'ld hit the local market, buy a couple Sun Crushers, and see if there was a sale on gourds"
, she replied, obviously trying to make light of the ridiculous situation they found themselves in once again.
"But since you're here, we could go cruising and maybe surprise a guys. Which way's Indy?
" .
"Ah there it is", Siri thought to herself. It was Indy after all. Siri felt the need to comm Quinlan or Ben, but decided against it for now. She would do it later, once she was alone. She didnt want to leave Daala by herself either. "Ok i'll lead you their way, but i'm not staying for long!", she warned as she jumped into the speeder. Cade would probably be with them still, and the man had managed to drive Siri nuts in record time. Han and Cade together would be too much to handle for long.
"Last i saw them, they were towards the northeast", Siri indicated, "Let's get out of this sun, shall we?".

IC: Qui-Gon Jinn
~Jabba’s stronghold~
Qui-Gon ate, but he didn’t really taste it. There was too much to think about. He had decided not to dwell on what Ben and Leia - and before them Anakin and Master Tholme - had told him, for now anyway, but keep his awareness firmly in the here and now.
*One thing at a time*, he thought. *And the first thing is making sure the children and Princess Organa are safe here. We can try and build something better from there.*
Finally he gave up and put his spoon down. “Ben, you’ve been here before. Places like this usually have some type of security. Do you know where it is, perhaps? I think we ought to check it out and see if we can get it to work for us.” He cleared his throat. “I guess I should say you ought to check it out, as we both know anything mechanic is more your expertise than mine.”
He looked at Anakin. “And since droids might be part of security, I was hoping you’d help, Anakin. After all, you managed to make a droid from scratch, which is quite impressive.”
Lastly he turned to the princess and Batman. “I’m sorry,” he said, “I have no idea what you can do in that area.”

“I think anyone who might have had answers just left, and no, I’m not from here,”
Boba spat out to Mission’s vast disappointment, his eyes never leaving greenhair. Blast, that meant probably he was as much in the dark about this strange place as she and Zaalbar were.
“I’ve got a med keet in my pack,”
Boba added,
“I think we should get what we need and try to follow after the ones who just left.”
“You have a med kid? That’s great! Why didn’t you say so before? No, sorry, ‘course you didn’t think about it, head wounds can be like that, I know. And I agree with you about getting out of here. I don’t like that yellow thing Mister Crazy is pointing at us.”
“Shall I waste the meat bag, master?”
HK-47 stepped forward with blasters drawn.
“Did anyone ever tell you that you are very single-minded?” Mission asked him. “There are other solutions possible than shooting everybody in sight, you know.”
The sound of blaster fire suddenly rang out. Boba turned quickly towards the sound, so Mission kept her blaster aimed at greenhair. Living a lifetime in the Lower City of Taris had taught her a thing or two about the danger of getting distracted.
“Zaalbar!” she yelled.
“Statement: Do not look at me, master,”
the assassin droid said with what sounded like irritation.
“Some other entity has taken charge of the population control of the small furry meat bags.”
“Population control? What do you mean? Boba, do you know what he means?” Mission asked, a cold pit opening in her stomach. “And why’s Zaalbar not coming? Zaalbar!”
The door through which Zaalbar had disappeared only a few moments ago crashed open and Zaalbar jumped out, bowcaster ready and with a satchel slung over one shoulder.
[What happened?] he roared.

IC Indiana Jones:
The robot was not being very helpful. It had dropped the revelation that Anakin was Vader as if that were new information, but of course, Indy had shared that with Solo at the beginning of their conversation. The Captain’s own interest seemed to be peaked when he said,
"Wait, Luke disappeared?"
In his excitement, Solo pushed the robot against a vehicle that had no wheels of any kind. Indy rode in one of these on his previous trip to this planet, and had found the ride rather smooth, but what he wouldn’t give for a Dodge
"Where? Where was he?"
If Indy remembered correctly, “Luke” was the name of Anakin’s son, the one who had eventually redeemed him. Though Luke might have a vested interested in keeping track of his father’s whereabouts, he was also a Jedi, or training to be one, so Indy was torn as to whether the boy would be a hindrance or a help.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a whine, and suddenly something warm and liquid hit the back of his pants. It had been decades since his battlefield experiences, and even his recent time spent working with the military had been mostly after the guns were put away, but, though it did not quite sound the same, the noise he had heard was similar enough to gunfire to kick-start the old reflexes into gear.
Even as Solo yelled out,
"Get down!"
he was following the man behind the minimal cover that the vehicle provided. As he crouched, he caught a glimpse of one of the furry little creatures lying on the ground, unmoving.
Poor little guy.
Solo was trying to make his way slowly toward the back of the vehicle, in what Indy took as either a very brave or very foolhardy attempt to see what was going on. Given what he had learned about this man’s character, it was probably a mixture of the two.
He hissed, "Wait, don't do that." He didn't want the other man to risk getting shot. Without thinking, Indy leapt into the vehicle, making his way toward the driver’s seat as quickly as he could, scrabbling forward by using his elbows, his right cheek rubbing against the seat. He recalled that the ignition on such vehicles usually amounted to nothing more than a button. He was grateful that his curiosity about all aspects of this civilization’s culture and technology had caused him to memorize how one operated such a vehicle.
When he saw the pedals on the floor, he knew that the ignition would be above his head. After making sure that the lever in the center of the vehicle was in the proper position, he felt around the dash until his groping right hand touched the button, and then, without pressing it, but keeping his hand on it, he immediately contorted his body so that he got his legs into the driver’s seat without exposing any part of his body to the open air. It was quite a feat, and afterward, his body ached all over, but it was worth it if they got out of this alive. Only now did he consider what would happen if the shooter was at an angle to look down into the driver’s seat. Luckily, no more guns had been fired as of yet.
Keeping his head down below the level of the top of the door, he tried to modulate his tone so that Solo could hear him, but he would not make enough, “Get in, get everybody in! The furry ones too!” He wouldn’t leave them to die. They were innocents, and obviously targets just as Solo and he were. "Everyone's leaving together! Hurry, hurry!"

IC Luke Skywalker:
"Lead on my young friend. The force tells me that I can trust you"
Luke wished he could have the other man’s confidence, but the Force was telling him nothing. He felt adrift, had nothing that he could hold to stop him drowning. The grief must be affecting him more than he knew. He tried to hold onto what Ben had told him about how the Force transcended life, but it was so hard, especially since he could still see the crimson saber slicing through Jedi robes.
Dyas’ entire demeanor seemed to change suddenly when Luke told the Master his name.
"Skywalker. Are you related to Anakin Skywalker?"
“You knew my father?” Luke wondered how much he could say about the circumstances of his father’s death. He still did not know from when Master Dyas came, so perhaps the older man had not even heard of Vader. There was no reason, in such a case, to burden the man with knowledge of another failed Jedi student. He opted to say nothing about it.
“What was he like?” Luke looked out the windscreen as he waited for an answer, hoping that the lack of a population did not stretch to the entirety of the planet. What if the Empire, upon learning of Luke’s disappearance from the battle station, had initiated a scorched-earth policy?
A cold finger played glissando up his spine.
