Ah. Well my post where I was saying how Jack might say this and Tony might do that, it was explaining to TheManinBlack the basic format and how it would incorporate 24's real time theme. Everyone wouldn't be about at 8:06 PM of course, but what we can do is have someone post and in character have it *: 06 PM, then have someone else in the game post at 8:06 PM, or 8:07 PM for the laspe of time in the previous post, with what their character might do. To go back to the example I made, we might have a scene with Jack and Tony.
IC: Jack Bauer
8:06 PM CTU Los Angeles
Where he is trying to reason with Tony that his personal feelings won't get in the way of doing his job. Then whoever is playing Tony would post, IC: Tony Almaida, 8:06 PM and have Tony speaking with Jack.
I think perhaps the confusion is in how I gave specific examples, how I said we might have Shakira McCune trail Leng Shen Tzu and what she might do when she finds where he's going, or if she loses him. That might not happen, those characters may or may not be in the RPG. I was just using them as an example of the format of the RPG and how we might play out a particular story.

Yeah; that's what I was trying to say. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
But anyway, since that wasn't what you were going for, it's all good. It sounds like a pretty cool idea to have it run in "real time" - a lot of games start having timeline sync errors, but I don't think anyone's tried to do that before.

10 BBY - An Empire In Crisis - The Jedi Reborn - The Second Clone Wars
"Once more, the Sith shall rule the Galaxy. And we shall have peace." His Imperial Majesty Emperor Palpatine.
There was no truer statement made by a Sith.
Within days of Order 66 the Great Jedi Purge began, and the Empire crushed the Confederacy of Independent Systems and those few worlds that resisted Imperial rule fell. With the Imperial Senate rendered docile by the new Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, the corporations were tamed and the politicians and their ruinous bureaucracy crushed. A new age of true Order was ushered in, and the Empire blossomed, encompassing almost all the worlds of Known Space.
Over two hundred Jedi survived Order 66 and have thrown themselves into hiding, but many made efforts to overthrow the Empire and died at Naboo, Kessel, or Kashyyyk and died for it.
There is no resistance to the Empire, and no organisation between Corellia, Alderaan and Chandrila - there is not nearly enough support for rebellion yet, and Bail Organa has tempered Mon Mothma, knowing that Anakin Skywalker's children are not yet old enough to oppose the Emperor. Kamino's efforts to overthrow the Empire with its own clone army have been recently ended, and the Confederacy remnants finished off at Mustafar.
The Empire has made little effort to expand the non-clone human Imperial Army, and the majority of systems simply run themselves with their own forces as loose parts of the Imperial Army, governors using their clone Stormtrooper regiments to enforce the peace if need be - most governors have access to more forces than any planetary system can raise, fielding billions of Stormtroopers.
Any attempt to defeat the Empire now would be doomed. If the Empire were to die now, trillions would die with the death of galactic civilisation - there is no replacement available.
However, the seeds that were laid for the Imperial victory during the Clone Wars have led towards that possibility. An Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Indefatigable, has gone missing in the Outer Rim, with all hands. In the mystery of this vessel's disappearance lays the key to the destruction of the Empire, and dropping the galaxy into disaster...
The Factions - The Empire, the Stormtrooper Corps, and the Jedi.
The Empire
The Imperial Senate retains the make-up of the old Senate, fielding over a thousand Senatorial seats, but with thousands of Senators throughout it. Many have been rewarded for supporting the Emperor, but most who signed the Petition of Two Thousand in support of the Jedi have been replaced. It is a bastion of intrigue and decay, and the Emperor rarely makes use of it apart from to dutifully approve his edicts - the Empire is rapidly approaching the point where it has enough Stormtroopers and Star Destroyers to rule without the Senate's approval entirely, and thus through the Imperial Ruling Council alone.
The Imperial Ruling Council is made up of many sycophants that attached themselves to Palpatine as a Senator and later as Chancellor, and acts as the Emperor's court, taking the true and tangible power as their own. The Senate remains powerful after a fashion, but the power is less tangible and attached to their own homeworlds, which are held in the grip of the Stormtrooper Corps.
The sum difference between the Senate and Court is thus rank - the fore are Imperial Senators, but the latter are Imperial Advisers, or Lords.
The Stormtrooper Corps
The Stormtrooper Corps, formerly Grand Army of the Republic, made up of the clones of Jango Fett and responsible for the destruction of the Jedi, has been supplemented by clones grown on Centax II, Arkania and Vohai, although by using Spaarti cloning cylinders and thus grown in less than a year, rather than the ten years that Kamino took - itself not providing clones for the Empire since the second year of the Clone Wars. The majority of the clones thus have not been 'born' on Kamino, but have had memories suggesting they have been active since Geonosis implanted into their minds via flash learning.
There are non-Jango clones being grown at the moment after the Battle of Kamino, but these are generally not evident in the Corps as of yet.
The Jedi
There are more than a hundred Jedi remaining in the Empire, the majority of which are hiding deep in the Outer Rim. The first year of the Jedi Purge hit the survivors particularly hard, Darth Vader and the 501st killing dozens at Kashyyyk, Kessel and Naboo. Those that have survived have deduced that Palpatine was the second Sith but have focused their efforts upon escaping the Empire.
Numerous Force groups have been crushed by the Empire, as a continuation of the Jedi Purge. The Inquisitors, Emperor's Hands and Sovereign Protectors are few in number, and the Emperor has made no effort to make them publicly known outside of the military.

Gender: (All Stormtroopers are male)

Bio:
The Force (provided by Winged_Jedi once more)
In this area I have decided to use a common sense approach. I am a great believer that it is best to avoid moulding the Force into a rigid system of 'powers'. Therefore, I won't be doing that in my game. Use the Force as appropriate to your character. It would take a great deal of effort and experience to use lightning as effectively as Darth Sidious did, whereas powers like telekinesis are used with ease by most Force users.
The Rules
1. The list of surviving Jedi at this time is here (link to be made). If you want to pick a character from this list, I shall allow it on certain circumstances - members of the Jedi Council of old will only be given to experienced players.
2. Original Character Jedi characters are welcome, clearly.
3. Darth Vader will only be given to experienced players, again. Darth Sidious will be made available under the same requisites, though they will be more stringent with these characters.
4. Starkiller is not available for this game, as he shall be in his very early teens. Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo will not be available either, for the same reason, and for various balance issues - though they may become open at a later date.
5. The GM is God.
6. This is an epic game as opposed to a smaller adventure. Episodes will begin and end relatively quickly, however, and summaries provided each time, for ease. Please read the Episode summaries I provide.
7. Enjoy the game! Or else!
Thoughts?
I'm tempted to include an overall 'merc' section, for a fuller experience, but don't believe it's necessary entirely.

I be having a couple of characters that could take part in this. A mad as hell soldier who'd die if it meant wasting Palpatine? A Jedi teetering on the Dark Side because she lost her son? Yeah, if this goes ahead I have a few ideas.

I agree, and excellent foundation, you have here.
I could see myself applying on a case-by-case basis, since the formal Empire/Stormtrooper Corps/Jedi list would exclude the character I would want to bring into this.

I'm thinking of putting together an 'other' section, which would assumedly include the Imperial Naval officers, mercs, pirates and the dregs of society. They can play in whatever way they see fit, thus. I like to provide space for possibly neutral characters, Naval officers besides.
I'll be putting together the list of Jedi who are available or can be available in this era for use by players who want them tomorrow, and pushing for putting this up at the weekend, then.

Have you tried "Roach Motels"? Because whatever types those games are attracting, they certainly don't seem to be human characters.
