For the record, I haven't touched the franchise since Vice City. I just haven't been in the mood for that type of sandbox game in a while, no matter how amazing everyone says IV is.

Agreed. Cars that drive in a perfectly straight line unless you floor the regular brake and throttle the parking brake like you're Darth Vader and said parking brake is Admiral Ozzel, then yes, it is the best GTA.
Also, standing still while sniping is definitely a good game mechanic.
I will say, with the amount of HL2 I've been playing lately, it's a bit refreshing to be able to point a rocket launcher directly at a helicopter, fire one rocket, and call it a day, rather than aim nowhere near it and then clumsily try to guide three past its point-defense systems. Thank you very much, Combine, for giving the Overwatch such large numbers of such inconvenient-to-kill helicopters.

Regardless of your almost heinous ignorance, Reynar, you'll probably be happy to know that I just saw Iron Man today, and that little bit after the credits with Nick telling Tony about the Avenger Initiative got me really pumped to possibly actually start my Avengers game. If you're lucky, the feeling will last, and I'll rush it through the pipeline into a completed form.
