	Welcome, everyone to the RPR's New User Game, the "Ipsen's Force Academy," proudly brought to you by a combined effort from many of the RPFs great posters, as well as a combined design and recruitment effort by the CDG and the GDG. We hope all of you will join up, and make this game not only one used to train our younger users, but a great game overall! Purposes This game will be different than other games found on the forums in one important aspect. This game’s primary purpose is the improvement and assimilation of newer users into the forum at large. High-level gaming and storylines will be secondary, and never at the expense of the younger users. Elder users are very welcome here, as they can serve as wonderful examples for the new users of good posting. These users are welcome to proactively aid the newer users in a supportive and welcoming gaming environment, and are expected to be understanding. Any user, old or young, furnishing a hostile or unwelcoming element to this game will be immediately booted upon a GM vote. This is your warning. If you have questions as to if an OOC comment is appropriate, PM it to any of this games' 5 GMs and we'll be happy to review it. Command To ensure the success of this game, we will run it with a very innovative GMing structure. Should players have issues, they should send their requests to NaboosPrincess, who will communicate the issue to the other GMs. Story "One’s Path in Life should be chosen in the light of full Knowledge, not mired in the darkness of Ignorance" - Inscription in the cornerstone of the gate of Ipsen's Force Academy Two hundred years before the Phantom Menace, during the Height of the Jedi Order, a Jedi by the name of Ipsen abandoned the Council on Coruscant. A true force Orphan, condemned due to his beliefs, he had no home among the Jedi or the Sith. In his desperation, the man set up an Academy on Agamar, dedicated to creating well balanced and educated students. It is now one hundred years later. Master Ipsen and his Padawan learner have both died, and a new generation has taken control of the Academy as it accepts its 24th class of users for their exclusive 4-year training. As a member of this new class, you are now welcome to join Ipsen's Academy. The Academy has quietly grown over the past ninety-six years, slipping out of sight and out of mind in the quiet outer rim world. The complex is now a rather large one and houses complete dormitories for their students, separated by male and female, Jedi and Sith. In the main building lie classrooms, halls, and offices of various shapes and sizes, providing the rest of the infrastructure used to run the academy. On the grounds of the Academy lay gardens and caves all of great beauty and solstice, for meditation and studying by its students. The Academy seemingly was a success to Ipsen's dream of creating balanced education to all force users. You now are all entering Academy history. You have received your invitation and have chosen to attend. And now, you are on your way here, entranced by the prospect of higher education. What will you find? Where will your path lead? Welcome to Ipsen's Force User Academy. Gameplay Ipsen's Force Academy will be run much like the traditional Academy game structure. Players will take the roles of incoming students, ages eight to eighteen, coming to Ipsen's to learn more about the force. They will be able to choose if they wish to have lightsabers and will be versed in only traditional "basic" force techniques, such as pull/push/jump, etc. Our 5 co-GMs will be staff of the school, falling along the force spectrum as follows: The two teachers in the Jedi House are: NaboosPrincess (Headmistress) Imperial_Hammer The two teachers in the Dark Arts House are: Darth-Vassago (Sith) Ktala (Nightsister) For those who wish to pursue a course somewhere between Light and Dark, your house will be the Force Nexus House, under the leadership of: Rayson Since we want this game to be open to anyone at any time, we are going to avoid the traditional, hierarchal structure where people go to a multitude of pre-set classes for a set amount of time, over and over, building on what they know. Instead, students may join at any time, and stay for as long as they wish. Students are required to attend classes. Each student must choose a teacher to train with. If a student wishes to attend more classes, that also is fine. Whatever players decide to do in their free time is up to them, though the option of classes will be always open to any user. Rules 1.) The GMs are Law! .. Always. 2.) Respect the TOS and all Rules of Conduct 3.) No Godmoding 4.) No Spamming, Trolling or Baiting 5.) No adult language or content 6.) All Major Plot Points shall be progressed by the GMs. 7.) GMs have the right to negate and void all posts within the RPG 8.) GMs reserve the right to bend time 9.) Observe in-game rules 10.) Kristoph Channing doted upon his daughter, and often took her for walks in the Coronet parks, or to the river to fish. It was during one of these excursions that they encountered a stranger wandering the riverbank, lost in thought. Kaylee thought nothing of it until she heard the stranger address her father. “Excuse me, sir, but — have you ever had your daughter tested for Force sensitivity?” That was really the beginning of her adventure. The stranger, of course, had been a teacher at Ipsen’s Academy, and quickly brought Kaylee to Agamar to learn the ways of the Force. She was able to stay in contact with her family — the only reason her father had agreed to let her go in the first place — and worked hard to learn all that she could. She had thought that she might return to Corellia once her training was complete, but she loved the Academy and couldn’t bear to leave. Born from a noble family, Moliar was bred to be a scholar. He went to the finest schools, studied under the most knowledgable teachers, and attended the most posh functions that he and his family would allow. After graduation from college where he majored in philosophy, Moliar went out into the galaxy in search of "the Truth." Soon the Kuati found himself as ragged wanderer, destitute but learning. One day, on the desert planet of Ord Cestus, Moliar crossed paths with a lone Jedi who was exiled there. The Jedi sensed the man being strong with the force, and offered Moliar a position as Padawan; a position Moliar gladly accepted, as he sensed the man was full of wisdom. The duo trained together for five years, with the Kuati being tought both traditional force philosophies and uses, as well as some of the Force Heresies that the exile was thrown out of the Order from. At the end of the fifth year, the elder Jedi died of sickness, and Moliar was left on his own. After his tutor's death, Moliar pulled a complete about-face from his previous life of poverty and returned to Kuat a changed man. Over his parents' objections, he withdrew the small fortune that was his inheritance and clothed himself in the finest robes, jackets, and clothing. For the last year of his life, he traveled throughout the core worlds, Coruscant most exclusively, debating with other force users and clerics in open forums from streetsides to universities. Moliar heard about Ipsen's Academy in a debate with another Jedi one day, and left to see what the commotion was about. He met there with Head-Mistress Channing, who offered him a position as a Jedi teacher. Biography: No other known name. She is one of three daughters of the current Elder of the Nightsister of Dathomir. As a younger child, she knows she is possibly not going to rule anytime soon, nor was she in any hurry. Having a bit more freedom than her older sisters, so she spent her time studying. Her mother, Galanra, did not mind Asanji's studies of the Book of Laws. However, it was the Book of Shadows that drew her attentions. A book that was banned for most to read, so her studies of that tome were always in secret. She of course kept such knowledge to herself, waiting always until her mother was away on business within the other clans. She even used it once, when her mother was away to save the clan, but she didnt reveil that fact. It was exciting, provockative, inviting. She wanted to learn more, faster but she knew that would never happen. Not while she was on Dathomir. She starting dreaming of starships while she studied to hone the skills of the sisters. So naturally, her intrest was peaked as were her fellow sisters when the sound of engines entered the planets atomosphere. Sentries soon reported that a ship landed on the plains, heading towards the old temple ruins. Asanji followed the clan elder, along with a troup of elite warriors to discover the purpose of the ship. They found out that they sought out one of them ..as a teacher for a new academy. Asanji was intreagued, and accepted.. Her mother gave her a charm necklace, and a pack with several items inside, so that she would not forget her true herritage. Then she turned her back, and with the others left the ruins. That was years ago. His adoptive father, a man by the name of Xaero “Trigger Happy” Wolfvold taught Kardge the basic means of combat from standard hand-to-hand maneuvers to training with vibroweapons and blasters. Through the years, Kardge traveled with the small band of mercenaries, learning the layout of the universe as he and his “father” fought alongside species not familiar to him in many intergalactic skirmishes. Kardge learned the ways of mercenaries and learned that not all prospective employers were honest or straightforward with their payments. Serving as a bodyguard alongside his father and hired by a despicable Hutt overlord on Nar Shaddaa, Xaero confronted their employer about their payment and was promised that they were to be paid the next day. Kardge kept watch as he was ordered, and fell asleep at his post. During his rest, hired assassins working for the Hutt overlord had either poisoned or killed Kardge’s adopted family, including his father. The Hutt gave Kardge a final ultimatum before sending him away to Desolation Alley under the false charges of murder and attempted suicide. Though the latter could not be proven, Kardge was shipped out on the first transport off of Nar Shaddaa en route to Ovoo IV. However, Kardge’s resilience and Force potential caught the eye of one Jedi ordered to guard the prisoners on the transport. The two talked and discussed Kardge’s current dilemma and upon pardon from the Jedi Council, was granted training in one of the prestigious academies available. Unfortunately, given the darker nature of Kardge’s deeds, he was referred to the Sith division of Ipsen’s Academy because of the loss of his father. The Lightside and the Darkside both became all too linear for the Jedi, his own views twisted and shaped into his very own, and not just the Jedi's. His understanding of what the Force was became enhanced and deepened, as well as his morale system. Despite knowing what laid between the Lightside and the Darkside, Veston's desire to remain a Jedi was all too real, as he valued being a 'Guardian of the Peace', despite his aggresive tendencies. As a child, Zachian was identified as a Force User at a very young age, and was quickly taken by the Jedi for training. After completing the trials, he spent several years serving the Jedi, but soon found himself wanting to know more about the Force then it seemed the Jedi could supply, so he left the Jedi Order for many years, in search of what he would've then called 'enlightenment'. During search for such things, he did indeed fall to the Darkside, though never actually killing anyone out of pure hatred-not able to bring himself to do it-he left that path as well. When he reached the age of twenty-eight his mission had been completed. He had learned what he wished to know of the Force, and as he suspected it would, the Force almost led him back to directly where he started. Instead of returning to Coruscant, and came to Ispen's Academy on Agamar. Veston now dutifully serves under the Jedi partition of the Academy, and though he doesn't always believe in their methods, theories, and views, he would never undermine them. To the present day he serves as a Jedi Master, and as a teacher. He learned of his force-sensitive crest which held much power, and would always represent his mood. Dorvi enjoys learning, it has always been his favorite experience. His father learned that Dorvi was much more powerful than him, and Dorvi was only twelve standard years old at the time. Biography ---Personal History: Yotro was born a highly Force-Sensitive S'Kytri, he gre up an orphan on Coruscant before the Jedi found him. As he trained his ideals differed from the Jedi's more and more. One day Yotro left the Jedi Order for a better outlook on the galaxy. During his travels he met with another Dark Jedi, this showed him the true power of the Dark Side and it enveloped the Ex-Jedi. In his training he preferred Lightsaber Form XI, Trakata. It is a form in which the combatant uses his body and the Force to block attacks and attack his opponent. She never wears any type of shoes. ---Other Details: Her black scaled spider leg-like sharp segmented lengths of “head tails” are unusually short and arch to point sharply inward to her upper neck. She has three metal stud piercings above her left eyebrow. The Force ---Lightsaber: None Weapons: Claws, teeth, and words. Biography: Pandora was found in the middle of a massacred primitive village on an uncharted world in Wild Space. All rescuers could understand of the child’s crazed and excited chattering was something about a Sith holocron and blood. They never found out that the force-sensitive child had actually opened a holocron and instead of the Sith Lord entrapped within violently taking over her mind and body...her strangely strong will fought the powerful Sith and overcame him though seemingly at the cost of her sanity and any innocence she may have had. A new being entirely emerged from the event. Her Force powers are completely out of control and flicker on and off sporadically and even to the point where she causes more harm to herself than others. Steel with gold embelesments Biography ---Personal History: Born on Endor after her parents ship was damaged Rai has no memory of her home planet. In fact,she never really lived on planet. Her parents traveled and she loved being amoung the stars. One day when Rai was just six years old pirates attacked her families ship. Both her parents were killed and Rai was sold into slavery. A Jedi saved her and took her to Ispens Academy. That was just a few short weeks ago. Illiyrai hasn't spoken since she arrived accept to say her name,'Rai'. And she has only said it once. She is a hardworking Jedi but a soft and frightened girl. Her nature is loving but her life has destroyed most of that. Often she can be found wondering around drawing things she finds interesting as she is quite gifted at it. Her favorite thing to draw are people. She never gives any clue to if she is going to draw you or asks in any way but will simply sit and draw and if you walk away she may or may not follow. Biography ---Personal History: Victor Edwards was born on Coruscant. He entered the Jedi Temple at a young age, like most students, and began his training there. He spent a lot of his time in the Jedi Archives, wanting to learn as much as he could to expand his knowledge. One night, when he was twelve years old, just weeks before he turned thirteen and was going to be assigned a master, he ventured into the restricted section of the Archives; having learned how to conceal his presence from some holodiscs, he was able to get in unseen. There, he "borrowed" strange looking triangular objects as well as ancient texts. Vic took them to his room and studied them all night. What he learned drastically changed his life. Having figuring out how to open the holocrons, he was subject to ancient Sith teachings, teachings that he found to be quite interesting; teachings that made quite a bit of sense to him; teachings that contradicted many things that the Jedi Masters had taught him. Vic also found out about some sort of academy that accepted all ages of students and didn't restrict their teachings. He decided to leave the academy, and set out to find it. Two years later, having used the now stolen holocrons and texts to expand his knowledge slightly, he found the academy. When he entered, he decided to align with the Jedi side of training, realizing that he could always go to the Sith classes if he wanted. Biography ---Personal History: Born in a ship, right after her birth her mother died. Her father was very wealthy, and a Sith, he overprotects Lierka. Lierka has always been a quiet, thoughtful girl, though she's still not the Academy's angel, easily getting in trouble, and getting out of it with even greater ease. She has a special passion for running off after curfew and often 'adopting' little creatures from campus (resulting in some creature following her around, which, of course is not allowed), however she's an excellent grade student, and quite responsible (school wise); she's got a quick temper, and she often gets in fights. She's very strong in the Force, and often uses it more than her lightsaber or her hand to hand combat skills (which are admirable, considering she's only 5" tall.) He was brought to the Jedi Temple when he was too young to remember his parents or pre-Jedi life. He trained with all the Younglings and was taken in as a Padawan by Jedi Master Syn Dragarra. Syn and Einri went on several missions for the Order together, most recently, tracking a band of particularly troublesome pirates to Myrkyr. The two Jedi found the pirate base despite Ysalamari blocking their use of the Force over much of the planet. When they arrived at the base, they found the pirates and their hostages slaughtered by a kamikaze Dark Jedi. They fought him into the forests -exactly where he wanted them- and while they couldn't sense what he was doing, he set off a thermal detonator, killing himself and Syn and rendering Einri unconscious as the forest around him burned. He awoke days later, the surrounding forest nothing but charred trees. Jedi ships flew overhead, searcing for any remains of Einri or Syn, but they didn't sense him. As he gradually re-adapted to his newfound invisibility within the Force, he came to understand what had happened. The "Force-empty" bubble that Ysalamari produced was just a space in which the Force communicated differently, and hearing the death cries of the Ysalamari in thier 'native language' forced Einri to adapt to feel the Force as they do. He now extends a Force empty bubble around himself, and can extend that bubble to other objects to affect them, but now his Danger Sense is only in effect within that bubble. Knowing the Jedi would not take him back, and seeking to find out if anymore was known of his condition, he came to Ipsen's Force Academy, where knowledge flows freely. -----signature----- Member: GDG, GMG. Biography ---Personal History: He was an unknown Republic pilot, known as Jacob Winoda. He fought bravely alongside his allies in the Gold Squadron, until his Y-wing was pulled by a Star Destroyer's tractor beam and he was kidnapped. He somehow managed to escaped and hid in the vast jungle of Felucia, but he was then caught by a Sith hermit, known as Darth Vandalis. Apparently Vandalis felt Jacob's Force-sensitivity and decided to train him secretly. Jacob saw no other choice than accept the offer. Then a kind-hearted pilot, Jacob Winoda had gone, and a new Sith had born. But Vandalis died before he could pass on all of his knowledge. So in desperation, Jacob wandered around the galaxy to complete his training.
