I much preferred to put an example of what I was nominating someone for, rather than doing a hyperlink.
As far as I am aware, TFN markup links will only take you to the page where the writing appears, not to the piece of writing itself. I tend not to nominate eight writers at a time, but one particular person, so a link, rather than a pasted paragraph, would not suit the stated purpose for me.

Well, I was just thinking about saving space. Because with all the nominations that could be one giant page to scroll through. But, I guess that won't be too big of a deal.
I suggested the link because I had thought that when you take a link from someone's "View Latest Profile" and pasted it to the browser it would take you directly to the post. But, I guess not. That's what I thought the "&start=some#" was in the following example from my own posts:

Hey guys...
Post for this will come out tomorrow...
Yah, I know I said today, and I would do it if I could, but I think the flu has me in its clutches...
So rather than do the votes now and incorrectly count them or something, I will do them tomorrow morning once the Nyquil wears off...
If this keeps up, I may have to go green for a little bit and give Saintheart a baptism of fire for the world of moderating...
