Sent Elu and Kailo PMs asking what happened and suggesting they come back. I forgot to include links, so we'll just have to keep the thread bumped until they find their ways back, ok?

We might be waiting quite a while ladies and gents. Kalio hasn't logged in for a week (and hasn't posted for about a month), and Elu hasn't logged or posted in for about 2 and a 1/2. Those kind of absences are troublesome. I'm at least open to entertaining the thought of 3rd party candidates. Preferably someone a bit more active.

Yeah, I'm just glad this happened now and not when the game actually started.
We had a few people wanting to be sub-GMs/faction leaders ... perhaps one of you guys could be Flagmaster?

It might be better to wait before we pick a definite leader. We seemed to get along better back when the thread was less organized.

I don't think you necessarily have to pick a GM now, but someone to organise your thoughts all into a coherent state and get the game plannign back on track. Whether they become GM in the end or not is not really important.
I must admit I haven't taken the time to read ALL of this thread, but I've been skimming over, and you were ont he right track for a while, but you're going in circles a little now.

Despite the absurd amount of **** on my plate over the next couple days, I'm very tempted to volunteer to lead the discussion if no one else steps up, at least until the rightful heirs return, that is.
However, if I lead, I've gotta say I'm a bit biased and would focus a great deal of the discussion on story and probably somewhat neglect gameplay issues. Perhaps if someone gameplay-oriented stepped up, we could run a joint thread-leader thing until our original fearless leaders return.

At this stage, Seph, any discussion is better than what's happening now, which is nothing.

*runs in panting*
He-Hello all...Sorry, been lazy and have had some stuff on my plate as well. Before we begin to jump right back into things, I need to speak to Kalio. Has he been on lately?
To be honest, as of late, I'm not sure if I could lead this. Thought I could, but all of a sudden, ya know. So I'll discuss some things with the second-in-command and see what comes of it. How is everyone otherwise?

Almost done with freshman year of college, that's how.
As for KD, he's been gone roughly as long as you. I sent him a PM a couple minutes after sending the one to you, and no response.

Got a response from KD:
Kalio_Dynkos posted: I wonder if you could do me a favor, though. I am unable, after all, to come back. I am in the middle of a large move and will not have internet access to where I am going. Needless to say, the opportunity to which I am going shortly is an answer to my prayers and without a doubt one of the great opportunities of my life. It came up two weeks ago and I have no other choice but to chase it fervently.
My favor, I wonder if you could pass on my condolences to the group over at the Flagship, but it is unlikley that I will be even returning to the internet for sometime as the area that I am going is remote.
In short, if you could pass on this message for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
The message you could post please:
"My dear friends, I am deeply hurt to have heard that our fearless leader in Elu has not made himself more prominent in these discussions, particularly as they had such promise at the very beginning. When stepping aside, this was the sort of issue that I had hoped to avoid, lack of clear leadership in so important a task, and is the reason that before it became an issue I removed myself from the table as figurehead.
Alas, this is where we are, until real-life can release Elu from its clutches it seems. Nevertheless, one cannot forget that a majority of this work since those early discussions has really blossomed under the leadership of the main orators here in this thread and I, as everyone should, applaud you for your efforts.
Unfortunately, I am away and in the process of leaving altogether. An opportunity too great in real-life to pass up has taken my interest and I really have no choice but to take it up. These sort of opportunities come but once in a life-time and if by this step, I will be able to fulfill a life-long goal in as little as two more years. So, I am not able or willing to take up any more part in these discussions.
I hope that all will be as grand as the promise is.
In short, I hope that good fortune continues to go your way and, most of all, hope that this Flagship become this great success that we hope that it will be. Have great lives!"
For the record, this came as a reply to a message I sent him the same time I PMed Elu, so at the time, both had disappeared, and now I've edited out the parts about Elu disappearing since they're not really quite as relevant now.

The ol' Hammer Studios logo at the bottom of the Flagship OP?
I'm not sure we can handle the awesomeness that would entail. As for the Senate game, I have neither the time nor the backreading to take over. However, I wouldn't be aversed to lending a helping hand within the GDG somehow.

Call me crazy, but from this angle, it sort of sounds like it could be taken as Hammer jettisoning his current projects in favor of whatever looks popular. If you do that to your old games, how the heck do we know that you won't fob this game off on someone else if you get bored? The Senate game is pretty much your pet project from start to finish, so why the heck would you drop it to go after a game that you've barely had any involvement in? I'm sorry to put it this way, but I don't believe you'd be of much use to this game at all. Furthermore, I believe that if you pass the Senate game to someone else, it will die on its own. I can't think of anyone else who is as interested in the political process, judging by the utterly mystifying drama-queen antics that have been going on every time a bill comes up for discussing.
Of course, feel free to prove me wrong and tell me what you can do as a GM, but based on your posts in this thread, I'm not getting the right sense of spark.

Well you're right Light...
My offer was only b/c it seems no one else wants it sadly...
It would be out of duty vs. love. And I think you make a very good (implied) point that it probably should be the other way around.
So never mind. On further reflection, I think I'll stick with my own game. Didn't think that post out.
Shortest offer eva.
And thanks for serving as my conscience on looking for popular projects. Thats an old nasty habit of mine from way back that I've tried to stop doing.
Carry on w/ your discussion folks! Nothin' to see here.
