Why is it that when two ships meet in space, they are always correctly oriented to each other. Has "this way up" been officially defined in three dimensional space?
If spacecraft can travel faster than light, how can they receive or transmit any communication from one location to the next within a reasonable time frame?
Is it possible for a planet orbiting twin stars, like Tatooine, to orbit in a figure-8, being slingshot by one sun around another?
Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?
And if it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
Any other questions? Just pop them here. 
But... why is the rum always gone?

Probabil ca are de-a face cu calcularea pozitiei de "sus" in functie de axa sistemul;ui nostru solar, sau asa ceva. Sau poate e vreun protocol stabilit de comun acord. We'll never know until we take off into space.

I think somebody is a wee bit confused in legatura cu ce inseamna "rehtorical question" 
Anyway, in legatura cu intrebarea cu navele. Eu ma gandesc ca, and this is pure speculation on my part, ca lumea nu calatoreste prin spatiu asa alandala. Trebuie sa existe niste rute, niste... sosele daca vreti, asa cum exista autostrazi si pe pamant. Asta deoarece presupun ca exista tot felul de interferente, daca nu chiar obstacole si in spatiu, si anume campuri gravitationale, radiatii, eletromagnetism si asa mai departe. Probabil ca exista niste rute prestabilite pe care navele spatiale le folosesc atunci cand vor sa ajunga din punctul A in punctul B si de aceea este probabil sa dea nas in nas.
Daca o nava detecteaza pe alta si vrea sa se intalnesca, probabil isi va ajusta cursul accordingly, altfel ma gandesc ca trec una pe langa alta pur si simplu.

The rhetorical thing is more of a guideline than an actual rule - prietenii stiu de de. 
If by some freak accident you happen to get an answer, just remember: you asked for it. 
Back to business:
At sea, ships have green/red lanterns hanging by the starboard/port plus a white light by the stern, so that other ships can tell its direction.
Also, there are some rules that determine the give-way and the stand-on vessel.
And, as my learned friend, Diva, suggests, conventions are likely to apply for space travel. 
In hyperspace, there's no fear of collinding - or at least not that we know of.
In realspace they might send signals.
