Other than NG -- and I only watched that enough to be dangerous -- I just never got into any of those tv shows. Really, I would have never know who that guy was! And I HAVE been thinking about a costume...I just have so many questions and I'm so torn between quite a few that I'd like to do. I think I'd like to do a jedi costume -- and I think I'd like to modify it EU-style in some way. I'm not looking for canon "per se" but I want it to be good quality and easily identifiable. I'll just go there and say that for those of us with (ahem) less than perfect figures, it's difficult to find a flattering (key word -- 'cause I need to feel GOOD in what I'm wearing) costume that isn't just 10 yards of flowing material. For the women espcially, most outfits are quite figure forming so if that's not what you want to wear, it's tough to find something that isn't generic. Some of Padme's costumes are billowy, but wow, they are super intricate and detailed, and for a non-sewing person, it's a daunting task. (I mean, my goal -- and just one more motivator for my diet -- is to do a Mara Jade, but HELLO even 70 lbs from now that just might not work...nothing is hidden in that costume) We need to have a costuming idea WORKSHOP -- so we can all talk about what we want and get feedback / suggestions from others. -----signature----- Rogue 28 / SVRF Secretary “Wisdom is our hammer; goodness will be our nail.”

	I will be encouraging an "imaginary deadline" for front line costumes (the first group to assemble) of either October or December, to incorporate SVRF supporting one of the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House seasonal events: Halloween Carnival Friday October 26th.- 6:PM to 8:PM , and/or Holiday Party/Open House Saturday December 3rd.- 1:PM to 4:PM. I believe we should aim for the Halloween Carnival, as this could be our first formal costume gig (and it's still almost 4 months out). I will bring printouts of my costume ideas to this Saturday meeting, and I volunteer to help with costuming taskforce. 	Just a reminder about jedi costume's everybody: ebay is a good resource for those who want to buy complete outfit, or separate pieces to put together. I will have the Jedi boots (size 14) next week sometime, and they only cost me $38. I intend to buy a custom green jedi outfit on ebay for $150 delivered. I may go ahead and buy it soon, and bring the complete costume to our August costume idea meeting, just to test it and show everyone the quality (or lack there-of). 	Well I don’t have a rouge number yet????? But I can tell what I have here and there for costumes: Supreme Vader costume Sidiuos Red robe and mask from ep3 Bane Sith- style clothing similar to that of Bane wardrobe. Two sets I believe Sith Guards/ Gold and Red. 4 complete costumes with helmets Also have a few extra helmets and chest plates with assorted goodies and some items that can be crafted into armor pieces for arms/ shins. Sith robes- many are black – some red Sith Concubines dressings ‘I say with a slight smile’ Lord Kaan’s costume Virus’ costume One old era Jedi costume with Phrik right armguard armor Costume patterns- some are new other used, have odd and ends of different materials. Someone may find them of use. And don’t forget about all the props we could use for a special event. Let’s say at a convention some time. I heard rumor of one, but is it true? lol What other Star Wars club could boast such a variety. SVRF my friends. I sent the maker my measurements and should have a two stage costume by the August 25th meeting: One "traditional Jedi" green (no cloak), and a variant with a dark green short sleeve version(more combat oriented) . I already got the tall boots from ebay. 	I've been wanting to try Google's custom search engine because I think it will be useful for my work, so I thought I'd practice by creating one for costuming. I've set up a search engine to search only sites about Star Wars costumes. Let me know if you have any other costuming sites to add and I'll include them too.
