The idea is to get your iPod (or MP3 player) and shuffle the music. Write down the songs as they play and you come up with the soundtrack to your life. This was interesting because my taste in music is so random. Here is my personal soundtrack for your amusement:

OPENING CREDITS: "Road Rash" by The Mad Caddies
Comments: Sounds like my mind sometimes.

WAKING UP: Dangerous by Busta Rhymes (Unknown Techno-Remix)
Comments: That's a pretty awesome remix.

FALLING IN LOVE: "$%#@ Please II" by Eminem (featuring Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg)
Comments: Well, that'd explain some things. Don't trust no one!

FIGHT SONG: "Dammit" by Blink 182.
Comments: Sounds right for a romance gone bad.

BREAKING UP: "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
Comments: Talk about a break up. More like a break down.

MAKING UP: "Josie" by Blink 182.
Comments: Wow, "everything's gonna be fine". I wish I had a relationship like that.

LIFE’S OK: "Rockstar" by Nickelback.
Comments: Sounds like a great night of BS-ing.

MENTAL BREAKDOWN: "Two Wrongs" by Wylcef Jean featuring Claudette Ortiz
Comments: Sooo... wtf? Do i have a crazy narcissistic delusional episode? How is this different then real life?

DRIVING: "Yes Yes Y'all" by Will Smith.
Comments: Yeah, since I'm walking, I might as well play a silly boisterous full of himself Will Smith song.

FLASHBACKS: "Inside of You" by Hoobastank.
Comments: Err....

HAPPY DANCE: "This Goes Out to..." by Catch 22
Comments: Hyper crazy care free Ska music. This was originally a bad eminem "skit" but I skipped it since it wasn't a song and pulled the one after the final song as this one.

REGRET: "U2Janet-Remix" by Party Ben.
Comments: "When I was seventeen, I did what people told me..." mixed with remorseful U2. Sounds like a winner.

FINAL BATTLE: "Remember Me?" by Eminem.
Comments: What? They thought I would go off into the dark quietly?

DEATH SCENE: "Peel Off" by Jin.
Commets: Figures TJ would die in some bad import tuner street race song.

FINAL CREDITS: "Bring the Wars" by Party Ben.
Comments: Now that is appropriate. Public Enemy remixed with Meco's 70's Star Wars Disco.

You know, TJ, I understand you. So much of my life's events are tied to specific songs in my memory. Earl and I try to remember the times songs came out based on how old the kids were at the time, where we worked, who our friends were. Now you have me thinking of specific songs for feelings. hmmmmm.......will get back to you with my soundtrack. happy

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.. and as for you LDV, there's nothing psychological about my choices, since I didn't "choose" anything! wink But if you want complain about my taste in music sick well that's another thing entirely...

Ok, I've been meaning to do this, and I finally charged my mp3 player. I'm with Marric, I'd much rather choose my own, but I was more than amused at some of the songs that came up. Here's my soundtrack:

OPENING CREDITS: "Who Knew" by Pink
Comments: Interesting for me open with...that's all I got to say.

WAKING UP: "Umbrella" by Rhianna
Comments: I'd love to wake up next to this song everyday.

FALLING IN LOVE: "Never Again" by Kelly Clarkson
Comments: Amusing. However, I refuse to feel this way for the rest of my life...moving onwards.

FIGHT SONG: "Face Down" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Comments: Gotta say, this song puts the fight in me and gives me strength.

BREAKING UP: "What Goes Around Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake
Comments: Wow...scary with it's appropriateness. *shudder*

MAKING UP: "No one" by Alicia Keys
Comments: Another wow...perfect actually.

LIFE’S OK: "Faint" by Linkin Park
Comments: Sure, life is OK. Just don't turn your back on me.

MENTAL BREAKDOWN: "May it Be (Lord of the Rings Soundtrack)" by Enya
Comments: I hope my breakdown is a little more exciting than this.

DRIVING: "Come Undone" Duran Duran
Comments: Duran Duran is good no matter what I'm doing.

FLASHBACKS: "Move Along" by All American Rejects
Comments: This is exactly what I want to do with my flashbacks...have them move along.

HAPPY DANCE: "As the World Falls Down (Labyrinth Soundtrack)" David Bowie
Comments: I would be happy dancing to this. Nice and slow...maybe in the rain.

REGRET: "Hemmorage" by Fuel
Comments: Love lies bleeding...it doesn't get more regretful than that, eh?

FINAL BATTLE: "Unpretty" by TLC
Comments: Eek. If that isn't a dark glimpse into my world. I'm sure it will be the battle I wage until the end.

DEATH SCENE: "Blue Monday" by New Order
Comments: You gotta ask..."How does it feel?"

FINAL CREDITS: "Gimme More" by Britney Spears
Comments: I always want more so this works at the end.
