Hey, I am game and it might be a great alternative to the SF trip in November if not enough are interested in that. But won't it be really cold at that time. I am up to a good campfire but snow on the tent may be another.

Oooh, I was interested in the SF trip, too...I guess we can talk about it at the next meeting. I've been wanting to go camping, but it's just too dang hot in the summer. I think it'd be fun to get away for a weekend, tho'. I hope most everyone in the group can go -- I miss hanging out.
I'm gonna be a Sacramentoian (uh, is that right??) this month, I think...who's up to helping us move????  That might be a fun alternative to getting together. Pizza, beer and lots of boxes. Sounds like a party to me!!!

My best friend lives in Crescent City - I can check with her. I think not only will it be cold in November, but you can probably bet on rain and plenty of it. My friend has complained a lot about the "horizontal rain" they get up there! I went up there 2 summers ago and the weather was pretty nice. Actually summer is probably a nice time to go up there because it's much cooler than the hot old valley.

If we were to do Crescent City, we'd have to do it "fast" then... like, before we get late into August, because isn't that when the coast starts getting stormy (September-ish)? Plus, I've got a con I've got to do, a wedding to witness (friends from high school), and classes in late august.

Hey we can do an end of August then for the camping trip as we are not doing the con the first weekend of Sept. I am up to some socialization other than meetings. Boba said he would be there to help move the star wars stuff. No really we can help out. We have a truck. Just let us know so we can plan.
I too am looking forward to the SF trip so glad others want to do the event. Haven't gone to SF just waiting for the event.

Hi, I'm not good at posting, so please bear with me.
1st of all, Happy Birthday to both Marric and Leia1138......now there is a party just waiting to happen.
Jedidoria, Dillon and I can volunteer for moving duty. (I'm really good at screaming, "Put it here! Put it here!"  So let us know when you need us.
Question: We have a meeting on the 9th? Clone Wars in on the 16th? Or, did we combine the two with a meeting and Clone Wars on the 16th?

Well, I'm taking vacation from work (hopefully) August 24th-August 30th. I will be starting school that week, and will be at my friends' wedding on 8/24. 8/29 and 8/30 I'm supposed to be filming some stuff for the Sacramento Comic Creator's Group pilot for a news show. 9/1 I'm going to class and then spending the afternoon/evening running my RPG group. Tentatively, I've got a request off for either state fair or another RPG on the 17th. I didn't even think to request the 16th off. D'oh! My boss probably won't be too keen on "giving" me another Saturday off, so I don't think I can make the movie/meeting (boo!).

We had planned to combine the meeting with the movie event but that was prior to the Daniel Logan event being changed from the 1st to the 15th. We will have members at Travis that day with Daniel so the movie is going to have to be looked at.
I would like to still have the meeting this weekend so that we can tighten up the plans for the DL event and then discuss the movie. I know that both Vos and I are working at trying to get an early screening pass for the group. Hopefully we will hear soon. I believe the date to notify us is coming up. Vos, can you help me out with the date they will notify us.
If we can get early passes then Saturday the 16th will not be a problem. If we don't get the passes, I think members could get to Sacramento for an evening viewing of the Clones. See, we need to meet.
So officially ------ there is a meeting on Saturday -- same bat time, same bat channel....oops slipped into another genre there.
I will make a post notifying the group and if you talk to anyone in the group, make sure they know.
TJ - I thought you were poloing it with me at the DL event.

Let's keep the SF trip alive, last week I was in the city getting training in Flash (the program not the removal of clothing) and it was a bummer to be there and not be able to do much sight seeing.
Also I'm up for the camping trip too because we've only been talking about it for like three years.
