Good Morning to All,
I have updated many months of minutes. The thread (which isn't a "sticky thread" for some reason anymore, so you may have to seek it out) is now full of information. Pay attention to upcoming events and PM Myke if you are interested...also the upcoming FanBoys movie night in June (more info to be posted on that)...and send me your info (if necessary) so I can update the current member roster.

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weekend!

Hi Russ. happy

Glad to have a couple of much needed days off, as I've been working close to ten straight (okay nine)... not that that's any big deal with the likes of the hardcore career people like LDV around wink but I for one am fine with two weeks of work bookended with days off happening only ONCE in a blue moon.

I think I'll see Transformers tomorrow. A ridiculously long movie full of robots and explosions? Yeah, I think I'll be a happy happy nerd. nerd

Transformers is in fact full of robots and things that go boom. I really liked this sequel, for all the fans of the classic tv series there were alot of naming nods to the tranformers.

While TF2 was... the least lackluster of the lackluster summer movies we've had this year (Star Trek and UP aside), I'm ready for GI JOE. Green rust. Really? That sounds awesome, even if it's more super friends Lex Luthor then COBRA. For people going to Comic Con, there's going to be a Watchmen: Directors Cut screening one night and the new Green Lantern animated movie's world premiere.

Oh man, everything I've seen about the G.I.Joe movie makes it look horrible! It shouldn't be called "The Rise of Cobra" but rather the "The Destruction of your Childhood Memories"! Other then Ray Park as Snake-Eyes, I can't find anything else redeeming about this one. And have you even seen what Cobra Commander looks like, a burn victim with a clear mask?! Oh man, and Marlon Wayans was the nail in the coffin. This ones DOA big time. I'll be surprised if it gets over 40% at Rotten Tomatoes! I think I may wait for Netflix, unless we do a group movie outing for it, then we can all suffer together! wink

Watchmen out on DVD this Tuesday!!! The 3 disc directors cut has 25 minutes of additional footage to it making it a whopping 186 minutes of goodness! Can't wait for this one! dancing

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. The "Master Chief" Accelerator Suits, the Underwater Lair... really, if I can put up with Bay's Transformers I can give this a shot. Then again, I'm probably not a "real" GI Joe fan. Oh well. I say trekkies instead of trekkers too, so its not like I'm popular with most hardcore fans as is. wink

The Director's Cut "premieres" at Comic Con one night, too.
