SovereignKnight, I have a hint for getting over shyness (and trust me, I was one of the shyest people around for a loooooooong time). PRETEND that you're brave. Seriously.  At first, it's awkward, but you'll start getting used to the "act." Then, in time, it becomes fact instead of fiction. Back when I cared about MaryKay (dear god, don't ever let me do that again), my recruiter gave me the slogan "Fake it 'til you make it." It was painful at first, but amazingly enough I got through it.  So, pretend you're the world's bravest person, and get yerself up to this here gathering!! 
Marold, not a problem. Whenever you get here is fine.
ondiv, I hope you can make it! Again, whenever you get here is fine - NOT a problem.
And, just a P.S. for everyone... I have the wassail simmering as I type this. WOOHOO!!

I'm pretty good at the faking bravery thing. I have lots of experence. Thanks for the advice though.
Sorry I didn't make it. I wanted to come, but part of my world crashed and burned today. It's not been a good one. I'll pick up the pieces and start over again I suppose.
I'll try and make it to the next one.

Yes. And trust me, I'm only speaking as an audience member. I couldn't shoot a film half as good as any of the films seen here. But as a member of their future ticket-buying audience, I'm the one that they have to impress.

I had a great time. Thanks again Kreleia, you're an awesome hostess. Lots of fun stories were shared, I won at battleship... barely, we watched a cool fanfilm, and we all had Wassail. mmmmm...waffles.
More people need to show up to these get-togethers, you really are missing out.

I had a blast meeting all of you - and yeah, ondiv, I'll never look at a guinea pig the same way again either. WAY too funny!
