Take a candid pic of me in my gear and you'll find a lightsaber blade sticking through the camera lens Kat.  I hate candid pics. They're so useless... Like all the pics in the SFFF photo frame I had to sort through a million candid pics before finding one that everyone looked good in and wasn't just bad in one way or another. lol.. Also I WILL CHOOSE the pic and I will fix via photoshop myself first. No random unauthorized pyschotic pics of me that just look terrible Kat. I have a legend to protect.

Matt, and/or Kathy,,
Would you mind letting me know here on the board, what time to show up, as I will not be ale to make the meetting on Sunday as I will have to work. (I have no costume, but will be dressed in geek-ware, Star Wars style) And also, just to make sure im on the right page, DOes this mean non-costumed people are "in" ?

As long as you have passes, you must come as early as you can. SOme of us will get there around 3 pm, but you know Star Wars fans - some pass holders may get there tomorrow!  A pass does NOT mean you'll definitely get a seat. These screenings purposely oversell passes to guarantee a full house. The theater holding the screening has 300 seats. The earlier you get there, the better your chances of getting good seats, and you can sit as close as you can to the costumed folks!

I got Darby, Terrill (+1), Ariel (was at AOTC at the Coronet) and his wife Carolyn,and possibly two others (literally flying in but not for this. Hottie Kiwis... but unlikely. lol). I ordered them to register and print out tickets (but if they can hook up with us, that would be great) and get there as soon as they can that day. I also ordered to suit up since Terrill and Ariel have Jedi gear.
I think my buddy Thames maybe coming too with his family. I'm not sure. So 5 definite and 5 maybes.

After a couple of confirmations I'm waiting on, it looks like the "Rebel" costumes will be capped and spoken for. Everyone else will need passes. The earlier they get there, the better their chances of sitting near us. Again, if anyone who's going in costume has extra passes they were going to use, please let me know, so we can figure out how many more to print.

Ming, I don't know if Matt spoke with you, but it looks like all of the Rebel/SFFF reserved seating spots are spoken for right now for costume volunteers. I'm afraid the way the conversations have been going people will just assume they get a reserved seat if they wear a costume, and that's not the case. They can only hold a limited number of seats.
You'll have to talk to Matt - but if it turns out all of the GGG spots are not taken then he might end up having some additional seats left for RL/SFFF members.

Lou, I think Matt is trying to find out who was not able to print a ticket, so those of us who have extra can give them to you. If Gale will be at the meeting tomorrow I'll give her one of my extra. I could give you my extra 2 passes also, but I'm a little hesitant to part with my 4th one in case this whole seat reservation thing falls apart.
I was also able to go in and print up a pass for Joan plus one guest. So, you can all still print up passes guys. It's not closed down yet if you have the info from Matt.
Hopefully people with a pass can get there really early. As Matt, said, you know SW fans. There could be people lining up in the morning for all we know. This seems to be a popular screening that is getting a lot of reservation requests. (Live and learn, we probably shouldn't have posted it on the forums at all). From what I understand by reading the terms of agreement on these passes, members of the press are reserved seats in the theater, and leftover spots are given to those with passes who are waiting in line.

Sorry Ive been off the boards for a bit, dogsitting right now so its a lot of back and forth. I have two printed passes, one I was going to use for myself but if I don't need it, I can give them both to other people. I'm not home but I can try to arrange to bring them to the meeting if needed. I could always have Ming grab them off my bulletin board. I guess we can finaliaze things more tomorrow. See you guys then. By the way, Eva does have a generic jedi outfit, its just not one that fits RL standards.

Thomas, I have you down as a costumed volunteer, so as long as you get there before 6, you're guaranteed a seat. Also, if you have printed passes, bring them. You never know when someone could use one. As for f/x sabers, in a word...YES!

My people will have the printed passes too regardless... Meh no big. Regardless, what time are people getting there?
And next time... if there is a next time, any big news invovling FREE exclusive cool stuff should be met with more operational security. Directly from the command staff onto long standing members who have good past records of contribution and then newer folks who are eager, willing and ready to help. As for the yahoo groups, has anyone taken a look at the settings? It was public last I remember but we should limit news to there of when events are and future corespondence to be posted on the boards directly. When we don't know who we're dealing with it's best to play it defensively with limited information being sent. No huge public forums. lol
