Gale, unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. If Even's able to print two (the maximum per name), then he'd have to bring it to the screening with him. Basically, one pass would say the person's name on it, and the second one would say "Guest of...". Each pass comes with a bar code and a different number for it. I tried printing passes from the e-mail and from the text, and each set had the same numbers, so I assume I can't use both.
If I'd known it would be a problem for some to print the passes, I would advise those who can print the passes to print two anyway for those who are having problems printing them. That's what Dale and I did.

Matt, I was able to invite up to 3 guests... so I signed up for the max and printed out 4 passes! Each pass has it's own unique bar code number on the side. If anyone else wants to register for the event I highly suggest requesting the maximum number of passes so we have enough for everyone attending. If some are left over, that's OK.
Elton, I didn't think this was a formal GGG event? So SFFF members should be able to show up in any costume they want to, since the e-mail was sent to Matt and Kathy to share with friends. We were told costumes are encouraged. However, if your costume has a Mask/Helmet I would suggest contacting the theater to make sure they do not prohibit this kind of costume (when I contacted a theater in Santa Clara the manager said no masks were allowed inside).
Matt, can you contact the Metreon theater management and make sure they are also cool with us showing up in any kind of SW costume? I'd hate for us to run into a problem when we arrive at the theater.
Ming - The invite Matt and I got was addressed to SF Fan Force! I think they found us through the SFFF web site and this is not related to the Film Metro screenings we had actually applied for a while back. Hence SFFF MEMBERS ARE NOT THIRD WHEELS Rebel Legion members and 501st members are the third wheels LOL! Yay for the SFFF!

Hey Guys,
I was able to switch my shift at work so I will be able to come to the screening on Monday. I printed out two passes in case we needed an extra so Gail you can have it if you want. The earliest I can get to the theatre will probably be around 2:30 because I get out of work at 1pm and then have to get the dog I am dogsitting back to his house and change into costume. I will be in Jedi gear. I assume some of you will be there earlier so just let me know where to find you guys.

Actually the portion Matt previously replied too was concerning open day (Aug 15th), not the prescreening SFFF event (Aug 11th) which I know is OUR EVENT. It was mentioned that 501st and Rebel Legion will be doing events for opening day and SFFF WAS NOT going to do an actual open day event, only the prescreening. To which I replied was fine cos the prescreening is better anyway...
If member SFFF hook up with heavier elements of the 501st and Rebel Legion during opening day (Aug 15th) in other Bay Area cities I imagine some of us (not associated with either groups) would feel like third wheel because we have no coordinated group event of our own in SF. I'm working that day so no big for me and I think the prescreen should be primary target anyway. No big...

Well I finally got to Kinko's after 5 long ass hours in the dentist chair. I hurt like hell, but I went to Kinko' s right after. (When my mom asked why didnt I just go home to bed I said, "Ummm its Star Wars!!?!??")
Anyhow Gail,, I was able to print two passes, but I I got the second one for my partner IN CASE he wants to go. Star Wars is not his thing, but I thought I'd get him one just in case he changed his mind. But by all means, if he does not want to go, I will have the extra pass.

I just got the new TV Guides today with the various Clone Wars covers. I found it interesting that the voice of Anakin, Matt (cool name) Lanter, played the quarteback who attacked Claire in season one of Heroes.
Oh, and there's a nice picture and article of Natalie Portman on pg. 24
As to your question, Jess, I'll be there hopefully around 3 pm, if not sooner.

Oh yeah... that's a whole other issue. On one hand general members of the public can show up in costumes to movies. It's normal, GGG can't tell the public (people like Rachel who have a Jedi costume) that they can't. Heck, those are the people you often pose for photos with Just like conventions. I dunno, I say if someone is dressing up to see a showing of a movie at a theater the GGG just so happens to be volunteering at they have the freedom to do that. They just are not official volunteers who are getting the perks for 'working' the event all day.

Lou,
I got your e-mail. You and Steph are covered for passes.
If anyone wants to borrow a generic jedi costume for the 11th, I have one to loan. All you need is khaki pants and brown boots. I have an extra saber and belt.

Cool! Thomas, can you bring them by after the meeting on Sunday? My brother could use them for the screening. Thanks!
