Just one simple tweak and all of the sudden you're able to destroy the background and wield a shotgun. This website has its information wrong. The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) had a graphics chip that can only handle 8-bits of data at one time. The NES graphics chip is so limited, that the original Mega Man graphic was 2-bit, although there were separate sprites for his face to give him an additional three-color palette. Five colors total, since black was shared between the palettes. This video features a high color Chuck Norris graphic and Mode 7 special effects that are impossible on the NES (but possible on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, SNES).
