Boba Fett costuming advice....

Hey costuming folks, I know you guys are the people to go to for this question so here it is:
A friend of mine posted: actually...i may need your help! he wants to be Boba fett for halloween... anyway, how do you suppose i go about making (or purchasing) that costume to make it look authentic??
I'm gonna guess and say she's not gonna fork out hundreds of dollars for it so is there a way to get a budget Boba for my friend here? Oh and it's like for a 5 year old btw... Advice and tips would be appreciated. Ps and Ts

Well, for they should go to the Dented Helmet forums. That's where all the advise and means to get cool costume parts can be found. I'm pretty sure they also have some tutorials and templates that could apply to do-it-yourself pieces of armor for a 5 year old on a halloween budget
I'd say get the Don Post helmet or Rubies (I bet they can find it on ebay). Look into working with Sintra (Expanded PVC) to make armor pieces from scratch and paint them. I think they have tips on how to do this on the Dented Helmet forums. Visit the Mandalorian mercs web site too for ideas. For a kid, their poster board armor could be good enough.
If they comb these sites, it will give them ideas they can run with It can be done on a budget, but they have to be willing to invest the time to make pieces from scratch themselves.

She beat me to it! I love the Dented Helmet and visit that place at least once a day to see what's new. Also I have a contact for the best Boba bucket out there. If he needs it Ming, PM and I'll get you the info . Or Email me. Also try http://www.tk409.com/fett.html for good easy guide.

I can vouch for TK409 too. Chris made my Anakin hand, his armor's been used as a model for comics/book covers, and he's my source for my (potential) stormtrooper armor. Too bad this thread wasn't made during Comic-Con. I could've asked about it at The Dented Helmet's table.
