	Since many weren't able to make it to today's meeting, I wanted to more input for a date and (new) place for this year's holiday party. Today we discussed that Dec. 6th isn't an option since some of us have events that day, and we figured the weekend before Christmas (Dec. 20-21) wasn't an option since mot people would either be doing last-minute shopping or being with their families. So the options are: Dec. 7 (Sun), and Dec. 13 (Sat) and Dec. 14 (Sun). We also have to figure a place for it. After last year, we might not be able to get the same location, so any ideas for a new venue would be appreciated. Ideally, it should be accessible by public transportation and/or be centralized enough for people to drive to. 	Matt, where did you used to have the party before we started using Rachel's apartment complex? Since it seems unlikely that anyone in a 'central' location can open up their home to this, one thing to consider is looking for something like a pizza place that has a party room we can reserve. Some of them even have TVs don't they? I'm not sure on a date right now. The 7th might be tough since a few of us will be in Modesto the night before. 	Well, the first one was at Ming's old house, and the next year was at Eva's. 	OK, just trying to get a feel for the types of places you've used in the past. I know Eva has said in passing she wouldn't be able to host a party again. OTOH, Dec 14 is getting closer to the holidays, so people might intrinsically be more busy then, in general? shrug I like Kathy's idea of a pizza place where we can reserve a private room. I know it would put some restrictions on the party that we wouldn't otherwise have (food, drink mostly), but it seems like a reasonable alternate if we don't have something like a clubhouse or someone with a pretty big house. As has been said above, it's probably not reasonable to host at someone's house anymore. (I'd volunteer mine, but it really wouldn't be big enough for everyone and everything.) Sundays are available too (7th or 14th). 	At today's meeting, I passed around a sheet to see what days are good for everyone so we could decide on what's best for most people. Here are the results (as well as input I got from previous posts and by speaking in person): Friday, DEC. 5: Matt Kathy Alison Kevin Tom Rachel Robert Eva Lou Sunday, DEC. 7: Matt Kathy (not as good) Robert Eva Friday, DEC. 12: Matt Kathy Alison Kevin Tom Rachel Robert Eva Lou Saturday, DEC. 13: Matt Kathy Kevin Anne W. Rachel Robert Eva Lou Sunday, DEC. 14: Matt Alison Rachel Robert Kathy Eva As of now, it looks like Dec. 5 & Dec. 12 have the most votes, with Dec. 13 behind by just one. I'll keep this open for people to post their availability until midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 19. After that, we'll see if we can get any of the top two dates at the clubhouse, and I'll also check some restaurants as alternative locations.
