Greetings! You have taken your first step into a larger world!
Welcome to the San Jose CA Fanforce forum. The San Jose CA fanforce emcompasses the South Bay area near San Jose. Here you can meet fellow fans in your area and plan meetings and events. If you are interested in joining this group, please post here. To help us learn a little about you, please post a little information about yourself:

How did you get started on SW: ("Hello, My Name is Jennifer, & I've been a SW addict since I was 7. . ." - It's fun to share this one).
Let me start off: My name is Linda, I live in San Diego, and I am one of the Regional Support Administrators (RSA) for the Pacific Region of FanForce. The other RSA is Shawn (SRB_Jedi_Knight) and he is from Orange County CA. The Pacific Region encompasses California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. I am 38 and the mother of three children, Leia is 15, Lauren is 12, and Collin is 9. I collect anything and everything with the name Star Wars on it, pictures of my collection can be seen in my Bio. I have also read each and every Star Wars adult novel, and some of the comic books. I also have built/converted a few lightsabers, and currently have both Jedi Robes, a Royal Guard Costume, and two sets of stormtrooper armor. I am also currently working on a Boba Fett costume and X-Wing pilot costume. After that I'll be doing an Imperial Officer, Rebel Trooper, and Mara Jade of course. Other than Star Wars I am interested in Nelson DeMille Novels, Computers, traveling, and flying planes. I have been a fan of Star Wars since opening day back in May of 1977 at the age of 11.

How did you get started on SW: Umm, I think I first got really involved with star wars when they were making the little figures of the characters. My brothers and some friends have played a game for 13 years now called "Model Wars" in which we make model airplanes, tanks, trucks, ships, and space ships. My army has usually consisted of Sci-Fi things because I collected many star wars figurines when I first started playing. My character in these Model Wars is "Han Solo" and my brother, is Grand Admiral Thrawn. He also has many star wars figures. I have things from the Prequels and Original Trilogy, and he has lots from the EU.

How did you get started on SW: Well, saddly being born the year after Jedi came out I could not see them from the beginning, however I grew up on Star Wars. Yoda has been my hero ever since I can remember. I lived by his knowlage whenever I could.
That is prety much all about me haha. In short, I heart Star Wars

How did you get started on SW: I don't remember when I started loving Star Wars but it's been since I first saw the trilogy I'm sure. The release of the prequels drew me in even more, and I have been with the front-line groups at Century 21/22 for the first two movies and plan being there for the 3rd.
If anyone else on the boards was there, I was sporting Darth Maul garb for the Ep. 1 premiere and Anakin garb for Ep. 2, some spruced up photos of which can be found here

How did you get started on SW: When I was 5 I watched the original movie like 50 times till my Aunt took the tape back.  Then in the 8th grade I get back into it with a friend of mine and never looked back!
Just a note for your newly forming club that SF Fan Force as your neighbhors to the north will have your back. I also have some friends in your neck of the woods that would probably love to talk shop with a new up and coming SJ Fan Force, Rogue Six being one of them. If you guys need anything we can totally coordinate and help one another out. So as you guys grow bigger I'm sure we can have tons of awesome events together.

How did you get started on SW: I was introduced to SW when I was around 3 years old when ROTJ came out and I had a ton of SW toys back then. I lost all interest once I got older. Then my friends had to drag me to see the new SW movie in 1999...EpI and I've been hooked ever since.
