I just finished reading Dark Lord by James Lucerno. I highly recommend it. And I was quite skeptical going into it.
I'm waiting for my copy of the Dark Nest Trilogy to be sent to me.
I am also reading Boundaries in Marriage. Excellent book!
If anyone is interested in a recommendation for a quick and fun read I do recommend the book Slay and Rescue. That is a link to the thread I made about it and it has info on the book.

I hope I will find the time to finish Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere tonight. That book is addictive .

Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett, plus Othello and Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience for English.
Also I keep dipping into Paradise Lost because it's such a breathtaking work and I have to keep checking to make sure it's still there.

I just finished both The Swarm War (Star Wars EU) and Prince Caspian. I've been singing the praises of each of the Narnia books I've torn through, but this last one just left me feeling sort of empty.
Next up: Savage Sword of Conan by Robert E Howard, Dark Lord by James Luceno, and Cell by Stephen King.

Satan's not in a guitar pick, he's inside all of us. In here, in your hearts. He's what makes us not want to go to work, or exercise, or tell the truth. He's that little voice in your mind that says "**** you" to the people you hate.

From what I've read and heard Prince Caspian is usually the least favorite of the books.

I just finished Odd Thomas, by Dean Koontz, which was quite an intruiging novel. Next up is War of the Flowers by Tad Williams.

I think it's time for me to revisit this question...
Right now, I'm currently handling three books at one time (call me crazy): Dune, Travels, and Night (that has an odd ring...).
Lately I just finished The Cinema of George Lucas. Good read. Gotta love the Oh So Great Plaid Flanneled One.
Once I'm done with the current three, I'll move back to reading the second book of Timothy Zahn's series- Dark Force Rising. After that, The Last Command.
Light reading includes The Power of Myth.
One book that I started reading and got sidetracked from was the sixth Dark Tower book.
And at the bottom of my list but one I'm struggling to reach is the first book of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.
Wish me luck!

Well, just finished the Goats comic series by Jonathan Rosenberg. These are web-based comics compiled into 3 large books (4 volumes worth). Got quite a few good laughs out of them. You can check out Jonathan Rosebberg's brand of humor at www.goats.com. Needing a lot of levity this week, I also read The Funny Thing Is... by Ellen Degeneres, The Book of Bunny Suicides by Andy Riley and the compelling sequel, Return of the Bunny Suicides.
Now that I am in quite a jolly mood, I have begun reading Take a Theif by Mercedes Lackey. This is a novel of Valdemir set during Queen Selenay's reign. Skif is a street urchin, stealing what he can to survive. He soon joins a band of thieving boys, and by the age of twelve, becomes a skilled cat burglar. However, it would seem that the Companions of Valdemir have a different future planned for Skif, a plan he discovers when he makes an attempt to steal one.

I'm taking a break from fantasy and have begun reading Olaus Magnus' Historia De Gentibus Septentrionalibus (The history of the Nordic People) which was originally written in the 16th Century. As a lot of fantasy is based on the European Middle Ages it will be interesting to see what a man in a prominent position thought was worth telling as that age had just ended.
(Olaus Magnus was the last Catholic archbishop in Sweden and went into exile when the Swedish monarch forced the church to become protestant.)
